Rushfan comes in with his 8 post and starts a fight.

My guess is he is someone that was banned and come back seeking retribution.

rushfan..........you have no idea what your talkin about, coca has no medical qualities thats a joke..........theres a reason why the locals chew the leaves, they do work that would leave a soft handed puss like you crying because of the work load for the day.

you should really resurch the topic that your trying to blast people on rather then sound like another person against everything that doesent come in a perscription bottle........

would be happy to trade my nos energy drink for a bag of coca leaf to chew on...........

remember the leaves havent been processed,so its another one of gods plants to be used by us........

i remember when honey foam first came out in oak and people were so scared of that weird substance, now look everybody is takin dab rips........

it seems to me the things people are most afraid of is what they havent experienced yet..............:tiphat::thank you:

I recently returned from a long trip to Peru. I did some trekking up in the Andean Mountains, I went into the Amazon jungle and drank I took to the habit of chewing through a bag of Coca every day (which is legal in Peru). This is very beneficial for you. Coca is chockfull of calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fibre, minerals such as calcium, phosphorous, iron, potassium, magnesium, sodium, ascorbic acid and vitamins A, C and E.

- so true, and I've had that experience. The natives of this region that chew on the leaves have the longest life expectancy of any undeveloped culture in the world and it is do to chewing on the leaves. Leave it to western society to turn it into a gnarly chemical filled addictive substance loved by rich 1st world people.

And if you ever break your nose real good you'll get to use coca in that white powder form in the surgery room. It does have medical uses, it's just the non-medical uses seem drive one of the worst wars in human history.

When I had the chance I also was able to pick up tea bags from the locals we were helping on a humanitarian trip that made wonderful tea. Energetic but by no means like the gnarly white shit. Way better than coffee and cleaner and I never once felt any kind of jones for more.

I come from Colombia. There is plenty of coke around for free to almost nothing.

Still.... I know parents, grandparents, children, that chew the leaf and would never think of doing any coke. In fact they would not even smoke weed.

Coca is like coffee to those that do it, perfectly legal and safe. Natural and a lot better for you than anything you eat that has been processed or shipped.

Some people are just stupid beyond repair. I am sorry this moron ruined your very nice thread of my homeland.

Very nice Rosy! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I have been to Peru as well, but only to the northwest parts on the coast. I had a blast, and it left me wanting to return.

How long were you there for? What did you think of the Ayahuasca and Peyote?

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rosey!
My boyfriend and I love the sativas and grow them almost exclusively. Screw the flavor of the month, these tried and true beauties speak to us. My BF is from Peru and we share in your love of shamanistic herbs.

He wants to say if you chew the raw leaves brush your teeth afterwards. Gum PH, that's all! A lot of his dad's friends lost teeth that way, but very avoidable if you think ahead.

properly grown it was something else.

Sacred plants criminalized elsewhere in the world have found their refuge in Peru. Although there's one sacred plant still illegal there, madre Cannabis. I hope this will be corrected soon.

I bought a bag the size of my wallet for 60 Peruvian Soles, that's roughly $20.

I went to Pucallpa, or rather I went into the jungle from Pucallpa. The ayahuasca was... well, it's not something you can easily sum up in a few words. One of the great experiences of my life (even though I have done it before). A great eye opener, a great teacher plant. Someone said ayahuasca is like 20 years of psychoanalytic therapy comprised in one trip. It's way more than that...

Yes, the big cacti is San Pedro. The woody stuff next to it is incense, used in shamanic rituals. The jars contain Coca and Maca powder. Maca is another highly nutritious (root) plant growing in the highlands that the Andeans eat all the time. They call it the Peruvian viagra, because of its stimulating effects on the libido. The bottles on the shelves is aqua de florida, a kind of perfume made out of plant extracts that shamans and curanderos use during ceremonies for cleansing and healing. The little baggies contain coca and maca candy, also very popular.

Thanks for posting the great pics of Machu Picchu huligun, they really capture the feel of the landscape!

please tell us more of your adventures in peru,

I'll dish it out as the thread moves along. San Pedro is a different animal than madre ayahuasca. The effect is more physical, harder on the body, a 12 hour trip of self-reflection and amazement...

The first Peruvian Gold seeds are being soaked as I speak.

So I let this thread rest for a while, but the Peruvian experience is far from over.

I grew out these babes, but the classic pure Sativa problems you encounter in a size-restrained growroom op got the best of me. Once you bushed them they were manageable, but they still grew way over my head and forced me to re-think the grow space. Add to that a high degree of hermaphroditism (out of 20 plants I only got one female free from hermies that I thought was worth working with) and a high that packed a punch, but was less impressive than it was in Peru at 3000m altitude. I decided to stop growing these beautiful babes. It's an outdoor strain, adapted to high altitude and equatorial seasons, and that's where it should be grown.

As much as I would like to, an Ayahuasca session is an undescribeable experience.
If you're an atheist or an agnostic, an Ayahuasca ceremony is the moment to confront your beliefs and perhaps reevaluate your conception of the Universe and existence. Slowly but surely, as you enter the realm of Mother Ayahuasca, presences and entities manifest themselves. The inert world around you becomes alive, animist if you like. Your senses evolve, you see, hear, smell and sense things you realize have always been there, undetectable to you until now. All the closed doors of your emotional interior now open, and you are forced to face YOUrself no matter how beautiful or ugly as an experience it can be.
A friend of mine, who works as a journalist and participated in his first Ayahuasca ceremony with a healthy dose of skepticism, has never been the same since. During the ceremony, he found himself face to face with his brother, who died in a car accident a few years before. They had a positive but to him jolting exchange. The thing was that his girlfriend, sitting next to him in the ceremony, also saw the brother...

No matter what belief system you subscribe to, Mother Ayahuasca will show you things, if you allow her to...

Another thing I did over there was to buy a hectar of land (a little more than two acres) in a beautiful valley not too far away from Machu Picchu, where I will build a house in a year or two, if all goes according to plan. I'm so happy about this thing because I found cheap land exactly where I wanted it, and my neighbor in the valley is a man who's something of a legend in the Peruvian Andes, an ayahuascero named Alonso del Rio, with whom I have shared the sacred wine and also peyote many times. As a bonus to our Spanish speaking members I'll link you to a video where he explains his relationship to shamanic plants :
