Guppyponics. Seems more of an ideal, than a working system.

That description of NFT described aeroponics better than the aeroponics description. Not so good a description of NFT though.

The internet is getting proper messed up now. The problem is that anyone who makes good looking websites, can spin out lies to anyone that knows no better.
I myself just coughed £200 on a part one forum said I needed to change. I gets it and it was no different to the one I had in function. Another forum singing from a different song sheet said my first one was fine. Which by the time I read it, I already knew. This side project of a few hours in a few weeks deep now, and still the more I read, the more I realise the net is full of people talking like professions, but actually know nothing.
Sorry... ranting... need to vent

We need a search engine that responds to complaints. Actually removes sites from results and notifies them why. However... how could a PC tech judge what's right and wrong, if it's not even their subject. An accumulative voting approach perhaps... Or just have the search results contain a link to peoples complaints. If a site has complaints from half it's traffic, we can probably choose the one with 10% unsatisfied.

The answer to viewing roots, is probably a window, with curtains. Perhaps a blind.

I'm going with feeder 🐟 from the pet store.
Goldfish to feed to your Piranhas and Oscars.
Cheap and easy, a few bucks a dozen.
I don't know if PETA got them banned though?,.. I haven't bought them in decades.

I'm not going to eat them if they die,..
They will be flushed. lol

So, what would be a good description this,?..

I'm not spending any money except for supplies to build my own experimental symbiotic self perpetuating aquarium/terrarium with fish on the bottom.

That's how I buy stuff on Amazon.
I check the 1 star reviews first.

It was my mom's from the 1960's or even earlier...

She just turned 90 years old today.
She might have bought it when she was in her 20's??

Happy Birthday Mom !!

I hit up the dollar store today and got some stuff,..
A new reservoir, micro sprayer, 1 cup measuring cup, and a sippy cup.

I'm seeing an awesome DWC setup with this sippy cup,..
It's even got a bubbler port with tubing.

I'm going to fill the ice cube holder with agar jell and a seed,..

Whenever I buy aquatic plants in a gel (I always assumed it was silica) the gel is chopped up into chunks. I wonder if that would work better with the agar, that way you still get some air in there.

Yeah, I don't know what to think?
The seed has looked the same for 2 or three days now.
She doesn't look like she's dead?

Maybe it's best to get the plant started before putting it into the agar?

It would be difficult to get the roots into a solid block of agar, so maybe chunks is the way to go?

Meanwhile, I'll try to leave the poor seed alone and see if she starts growing her tap root.

I kept all the agar, and I could cut it into chunks and put it in my sippy cup.

How big were the chunks?
A bunch of different sizes?

I don't know what I'm doing.
I'm making it up as I go. lol

Maybe I could try to get her started in coco then transplant her into agar chunks once she has something above the soil ?

The chunks were pretty small probably around 0.5-0.75 cm.

OK. 👍🏻

I'll wait and see if my seed starts to grow then try to figure out what to do next.

I think that I might put it in a solo cup with coco and when she has two sets of leaves, I'll try to transplant it into agar chunks?

The seed appears to be covered in goo.
My hands got all gooey and slippery when I was handling the agar.

I'm thinking that maybe she's kinda suffocating?

She still looks good but my sprouted seeds always look like that after 1-2 days.
This seed was started 6 days ago.

This is her now...

Some shrimp in the tank will take care of the algae

I was thinking zebra muscles.

They are all over the great lakes now and do a really good job of cleaning up the water.
They take up toxins

They are an invasive species that propagate like crazy.
