Instead of smashing my hygrometer, I took it apart...

If RH is the relative humidity sensor then perhaps the RT is the relative temperature adjustment which wasn't installed?

Then I threw it out.

Then I took it out of the garbage.

Maybe I'll solder in a potentiometer so I can calibrate it. Lol

Then I threw it out again.
I don't want to put ten dollars worth of effort into a two dollar piece of crap. Lol

I've gotta stop collecting junk. Lol

If it's not too late, you might want to cancel the card and slot, until you have tried the lead. I think the lead will work, making the other bits redundant. Unless the camera needs the card internally

That reader looks like 99 cents?

The camera needs a memory card to save a picture but I guess it doesn't need to plug into my phones memory slot.

So I think all I need is a cord and memory card?

Maybe all I need is a cord if I leave it connected to my phone??

Ahhh Crap !!

I canceled my order yet again.
I'll just go to Walmart and buy an SD card and a cord.

I'll bring my phone and camera with me and let the techies help me figure it out.

The light's just came on and the plant is still sleeping and looks pretty crappy...

It's cold and dry, so I turned up the heat in the house, and I raised the lights and spread out the bulbs more.

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220203_164303.jpg Views:	0 Size:	117.1 KB ID:	18062321

I don't mind if the window plant is chilly and dry but I want to have a good environment for the closet plant.

She's a bit too cool too, so I added 120 Watts of incandescent bulbs.

She looks OK, but I want things in the closet to be better for her.

I think it's probably too wet. Pot plants love some air around their roots. Low oxygen stops processes. It's something they need. My favourite system is flood/drain pebbles, as it's just wet roots in the air. My highest yields come from such systems, and since leaving them 10 years ago, I have never done quite so well. Within 10% typically.

I spent the day yesterday checking out the different dollar stores and used stores looking for a cord that will plug into my camera.
I ended up finding this at the Salvation Army thrift store..

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220203_114714.jpg Views:	0 Size:	76.2 KB ID:	18062695

And I found an SD card in one of my boxes of junk...

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220203_114714.jpg Views:	0 Size:	76.2 KB ID:	18062695

The thrift store also had a power adapter that plugs into my phone..

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220203_142034.jpg Views:	0 Size:	89.5 KB ID:	18062699

But it's the wrong voltage...

Click image for larger version Name:	Screenshot_20220203-143407_DuckDuckGo.jpg Views:	0 Size:	121.7 KB ID:	18062696

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220203_143448.jpg Views:	0 Size:	64.3 KB ID:	18062698

And I got some rechargeable batteries for it because it uses batteries up quickly.

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220203_114714.jpg Views:	0 Size:	76.2 KB ID:	18062695

So the camera is working and takes pictures, and all I need now is an adapter for my cord, so I bought this.
It should be here in about a week...

Thanks f-e and f2obsession for all your help with getting this all figured out.

I ended up spending $4 at the thrift store for a few cords and transformers, and $4 for rechargeable batteries, and $4 for the adapter for my cord, so not too bad.

Hopefully I can take some cool pictures of trichomes and roots.

I really like the camera, it's really ergonomic and simple to use.

There's not too much that I can do about it, besides empty the reservoir but I don't want to do that, so I will loosen up the soil around the surface a bit and try to lift up the dome a bit.

I think it's probably too wet.

Part of the problem is probably the seedling starting mix that I put in the top of the planter.
It is 70% peat and doesn't breathe as good as the coco.

I did mix in 50% perlite, so it's not too bad.

I thought I'd check on her and see if she's OK. lol

Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_20220204_054923.jpg Views:	0 Size:	70.6 KB ID:	18063037

I dropped the seed. lol

I put her back and put a couple chunks of jell on top of her to keep her moist.
She's got some air getting her too now.

The PH drifted up again with the window plant, and the bottom leaves are getting worse so I flushed it a couple times to bring down the PH.

She's really not happy about it. lol

Royal Gorilla

She is soaking wet now so I removed the tray and set her on towels to help pull the water out.
I don't want to drown her or the soil mites.

I think this time a bubbler would have been helpful in the sip tank. My semiDWC setups dont have this root drowning problem even if soil is soaking wet. (I guess oxigenated water in the tank and the water in the soil has some O2 exchange with osmosis)
