My closet plant has grown an inch since I snapped her top.
The top is standing on her own now so I removed the wire.
She's really thirsty now and drinking about 2 litres a day.
I think I'll switch to just the bloom nutes tomorrow after today's watering.

So, she is still growing taller but has slowed down to just a crawl.
I guess that I should have waited longer before doing the LST but at least I know how much it affects growth so I can better plan for the next plant.
And I learned a new trick !!
She has about 9" of room left to grow but she probably won't grow more than a couple.
I'd rather have her a bit too short than a bit too tall and have to cut her top off.
Nice! Am glad she has recovered. I would have tied the bent stem down (rather than up) to maintain the bend (and reduce the height)... but looks like you got away with it! Plants are pretty forgiving generally - I've done full-on U or S bends before, and immediately bound the plant with string, and they keep right on growing. Just need to be careful not to mess with the bend in the days immediately following.
Your plant is gorgeous!!!!!
That 5000k (i think) 98 cri is GORGEUS. These are Bridgelux THRIVE leds, the same i wanna test next time!!!!
I saw this post in Greenheart's thread...
Can you elaborate on the leds?
I stopped researching leds after I bought all my strips, because I didn't want to find out that my strips are crap and I need to spend more money to upgrade.
I hope my strips aren't 40 cri STRIVE leds. Lol
Does the plant really care about the color rendering index?
And if so, how much?
My plant seems to be doing great and I'd hate to think that I'm neglecting her by using older technology.
PS... I have been drinking, and toking, and overthinking. Lol
She is 34" tall now, so she is still stretching.
I may have timed this perfectly.
She may grow a few more inches before she's done.
Shes a fine plant! What you might have seen if you had bent down the main stem and kept it tied down to reduce the dominance, would be that the secondary branches increase in size (and produce more bud). The highest stem produces a hormone (auxin) that suppresses growth in lower branches - and if you lower the height of the tallest stem and there are several others that are all of a similar height, they grow more than they otherwise would.
Your leds are good.
In vegetative stage plants can grow with monocromatic leds, there are many tests of plants grow with ONLY green leds.
But in flowering nothing can beat the sun (cri 100).
So in the future i wanna test 2000/2200k cri 60 leds (almost an enhanced hps spectrum) vs 5000k cri 98 (almost sun spectrum at noon in summer without near uv and near ir) in flowering.
Cri was made for humans.
Humans use retinal as chemical to see.
Retinal is a photosyntetic compound of the carotenoid family.
This is why the PAR spectrum (300-800nm) coincide with the human visible spectrum (360-740nm)!!
Remember that cannabis was selected for a lot of generations to flower properly under hps.
This is why most of the landraces doesn't flower well under them.
Stretch is usually about 1/3 of the flowering time, these should stretch about 2-2.5 weeks. I would say ypu have less than a week left.
