I bet that if you surround the cola with 600 watts of LEDs that includes some radiant heat, you could grow a 2 litre cola bottle cola.
My 2 cents worth.
Based on nothing but speculation. Lol

I have tried 120 watts of cobs on 1 plant....no way.
In vegetative leds destroy hps.
But in flowering hps destroy leds.
And the Sun kick the ass of every human lamps.
No way an hps can grow a branch fat and long as my leg!!!
I hate hps heat and spectrum but this is the reality.
Ps i have a scar on my wrist made by a hot hps i really hate them

Me too !!
I've never grown with them but have seen them.
They struck me as big, cumbersome and dangerous. Not just from getting burned but people have been known to spray their plants, got some spray on the bulbs and they exploded, sending white hot shrapnel into their eyes blinding them.
They've been know to spontaneously explode at areanas raining shrapnel down onto the crowd.
And my biggest concern is the fire hazard.
I'm completely paranoid about burning down my house and as an experiment, I put a SIL with it's globe removed into a coffee can full of crumbly dry fan leaves to see if it would smoke or burst into flames.
Nothing but the smell of hay after about 6 hours in the can.
Luckily, I went right from CFL to LED and skipped the HID stage.
Yeah, I kinda don't get it.
You would think if we recreate all the spectrums of sunshine, then we should be able to compete with nature?
I think our science, math and analysis is missing something.
If I raise my plant closer to my lights the plant gets more light, but if raise my outdoor plant, it doesn't make any difference.
I think I came up with a new experiment.
I want to grow a plant with in my closet with a 2 liter cola bottle sized cola.
I figure if I cut off all the side branches and just grow the main cola, I should be able to pull it off? Lol
Unless that's cheating?
Luckily my hpses never explode. But one time i've glued a leather glove on one bulb...i was trying to change it while it was hot.
Never do this shit when you are high!!!
Do it and i send you 50€ with mail!!!

The frost builds from the purple LED.
But if you have 5x5 the New FC 6500 is doing an amazing job
while lowering the inside of my tent because of the long cords
I was able to take the controller out of tent where it is easier to control
a dimmer where you can read it.
* WARNING *
Entering into area while light is on even low is hazardous to your vision.
No joke, I have used it over a week now and looking good.
Heat is no longer a problem.

I love it, I found the perfect photo and life experience
of another grower.
I took a few rock wool 1 inch cubes and sliced them open
then moisten them for awhile and stuck them in a dome for later.
Beans went on to soak 30 minutes sink or swim they are set like a coconut hole to the top at the top edge in split RW cube push together.
check at 12,18,24 hours.
maybe more .. lol

Sorry to be rude, but that's bullshit.
I ran HPS for around a decade. Switched to LED a year ago, and my yields have improved using less watts. Honestly tho, massive buds are more a product of genetics than light source.
COBs aren't that great IMO. Maybe that's your problem.

They suck IMO. Lol
They get too hot and need cooling fans, and when the fan fails, you kill the cob or burn down your house.
My electronics teacher used to say,... "If it's too hot to touch, then it's too hot."
My LED strips are full of finger prints but no burnt flesh. Lol
If you were to chop up a cob of light into many little lights and spread them out over a larger area, you would spread the heat out to below the ignition point of dried cannabis.(or flesh. Lol)
And, as a bonus, you would spread the light out over a larger area, giving it better presentation to the plant.
I like LED strips ...
(but I'd rather have an adjustable orb of lights that surrounds the plant like a fish in a fishing net.)
(I've been double dosing tonight. I'm drunk and stoned and didn't turn off my phone. Lol)

Natural Sunlight, would start with Red, IR, and Far IR first in the morning and finish last in the evening and get brightest,(like all light) at high noon.
I think you should turn on your red lighting first in the morning, and turn it off last at night, but have it brightest at noon.
Same with the UV but starting later and finishing sooner.
(But you have flourescent, which isn't adjustable...)
And maybe, you could have your UV on longer, all day even,(like natural sunlight) but at a much lower dose if it's problematic?
I'd rather get a tan by being in the sun all day long than in a tanning salon for 15 minutes.
