How often do you clean out your res in your perpetual set up? Or do you just clean it whenever it looks dirty?

i'm not on a schedule. i just do it when it starts looking funky. with the open line pulse system there are no clogs from small debris. the medium acts like a particle filter. this is the first time i've cleaned it since installation. probably 6 or 7 weeks.

you won't be able to post pics until you get 50 posts.

Nice... thanks for sharing pics.

I had a really shitty day today. Nothing serious, or unsafe, or dangerous. But everything went just a little bit more wrong than right. Everything seemed to rub me the wrong way. I couldn't seem to find my breath, or keep things in perspective.

Petty little bullshit.

But those pics--and that alternating layout--made me smile.

Now I'm going to go turn off my phone and my computer and hide in a closet until it's tomorrow.

And if tomorrow runs like today, I'm cutting my losses and I'll start hiding before lunch.

here you go IF

All these pics reming me of hand watering in smartpots with diatomite and coco in that 7x11 room. The diatomite wast dime to quarter sized. Much larger than the floor dry from napa. Very time consuming and tedious. Envision yourself crawling around in there with buckets of water getting burned by bulbs, wearing welding goggles to protect you eyes. . . PPK's are going to be the game changer for the High Life Collective.

In that last pic you can see my previous room. Batwings, buds and bare bulbs, how I like em;) I will take some photos of the PPK build when we start putting it all together.

I cannot wait to see this guy rock PPKs.

holy fuck.

and those aren't just batwings in his photos.... those are adjust-a-wings.com and for new readers they need to know those are supreme (mixed with bare vertical bulbs of course :) )

Thanks bud.

I am hoping to get the PPK and D9 some well deserved respect.

This system is gonn change my life.

Yes Adjust a wings are supreme if your going to go bare bulb.

Check out Jackmayoffer at the farm. he was my inspiration for the adjust a wings.

I also found them on clearance at PCHYDRO.com I think I will just go with Air kings.

Getting the room put together. We used Unistrut, I really like the look. got the adjust a wings up as well. Minisplit installed next week. Hopefully the clones will be ready by then, They are taking way to long at my buddies, I am about to just grab them and root them myself..

buckets on monday..
The most challenging part seems to be drilling out the tire valves. Any tips or tricks for the build D9?

¨the valves are difficult to drill out sometimes. i use a pair of channel locks on the brass threads in the left hand and drill with the other. this keeps the channel lock teeth opposite the direction of spin. i drill them after installation. it makes keeping the bit straight easier. i use 3/16" cobalt bits from lowes with a drop of vegetable oil on them. i still rip one in half once in a while.¨

^this was posted shortly before your arrival-

Advanced Nutrients wall-mount fan...

Not sure about warranty and they are pricey. We've gotta pay for quality.

Hey Delta9nxs (or other locals):

what is the thinking on flowering time? Is it absolute as in once you've flipped and got bud set is it, say, 2 months?

or....

If you're using lower powered lights (or less light) does the flowering time extend out? (I understand that some gardens are taken at 8-9 weeks and some go to 12 but what I'm asking is if flower times extend out under weak, minimal light...?)

Any thoughts?

hey! it's funny that you should bring this up now as this is what i've been reading about lately.

it looks like everything affects flowering time. light intensity and/or frequency. all the environmental factors with temperature being the most prominent.

so, no, i don't think it is absolute.

i also don't believe seed vendors claims about finishing times anymore either.

the sweet tooth #4 was originally billed as a 42 day wonder and you can take it at 42 and get decent weight but i found 63-65 days produced a much heavier plant that had a better high.

all these strains i'm testing now are going longer than advertised.

i just got about 14 oz's from an isis plant that actually finished in 9 weeks as advertised but that is rare.

the g13 and it's derivatives are all going 10 minimum. sour 13, chem13, and iranian13.

the og nukush and the purple nukush are going 10+.

The unistrut has a groove in it and the fitting has teeth that fit into the groove. It will not slip out due to the tension of the wire. Thanks for looking out though I appreciate it.:tiphat:

Well the makita vs milwaukee didnt happed. My bro was there hours before me so he got most of it done.
The 3.5 gallon buckets are nearly the same size as the 5 gallon, I understand why you (D9) were telling me that the 3.5 could produce just as much as the 5. The fives were a bit cheaper than the 3.5s, I may end up cutting them down to size.

We went through two 27 gallon tough boxes trying to make the black box. The plastic craked when we were trying to pull the tire valves through. We were even using a 1/2" drill with lube. in the second attempt you can see that we spaced them out further..we were close, the plastic cracked on valve 7/8...

If at first you dont succeed, try, try, again.
