Still a way to go until a proper cure is on my panama. I think I may have pulled it a bit early. The bud looks quite airy, and not very filled out. Not sure if the panama bud is usually AIRY or less hairy and more filled out!!!

I also attempted to reveg the Panama, and so far so good!!!

Nice Panamas i also revegged and of three strains the panama was the first to take.
The smell was musky floral almost skunky.
Second smallest plant of 4 strains but second highest producer, majestic plant cant wait to try after a good cure.

How long does it take to reveg like that? Do you just leave the under branches and put them to 16/8 ?

I chopped my Panama Jan 1. So its been a couple of weeks, but it still seems like its converting back to VEG mode. I think it may take up to 1 month for the plant to fully be back in VEG. I have it under CFLs 24/0. Its in the same pot it was flowered in. However, I have added some VEG nutes to add more nitrogen, etc.

Hi Tangwena,

Next time, I want my Panama to look more swollen like yours! I think it needed 1-2 more weeks! But I'm ok with the BUZZ just the way it is!!

Hi justabluez if you are happy then that is all that matters, next time try it longer and see if its what you want. But for now being happy is all that counts.
Next time I will leave her longer still as i am rarely happy with the results, I am always trying to get them stronger.

I am wondering if you have played with water stress towards the end of the cycle to reduce dry matter slightly and to encourage more resins to be produced. I am curious if this would make an increase in potency by weight in the end result, I couldn't tell you how to go about it, it is merely a theory that I haven't been able to try out.

Hi Limeygreen yes water stress (drying) and 48hrs dark before harvest are well known techniques I use both.

hi, question about the red pheno. what does it like to eat to bring out the red coloring? should there be iron or manganese in the soil, or something else? definitely on my list :)

with low temps and low phosphorus and you can get natural purple-red colors. if the color is inherent of genetics - you'll get fantastic colors
btw my 2/5 of panamas and 1/3 of congo was absolutely purple in 30-40C :)
my last harv. of panama (fem)

I am having a lot of bad luck with the Panamas for no reason.

They keep yellowing for no reason, while my other plants are fine and healthy as can be which are Malawi, and a pck. I am growing organic.

From six seeds one didn't pop, two have stopped growing, one is growing very slowly, while one is extremely vigorous and taller that I suspect is a male.

Hopefully this last one that is smaller and growing ok ends up being female.

Panama likes to be feed heavy like a Indica imo. Like Tangwena stated I think they need more nuts as well. I pushed my Panama pretty strong and she swelled up beautifully. Check my Albums for my 18 week Panama. Hope this helps and good luck.

^^ I grew the ACE regular Panama Red a few years back. I got the tips of the leaves turning yellow so I top dressed the soil with organic Rainbow bloom mix, in addition to the good amount I had already preamended the soil with.

The tips just got more yellow but it was late into flower and I got good buds. Point being, I had over fertilized with a medium dose of organic bloom and compounded it by adding more. Mine were light feeders.
