Panama

hello! i was planning on ordering some panama seeds from ace and came across this post (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=4397070&postcount=9) by dubi saying that panama is a mostly sativa plant, though on the site and in this thread, he and others have called it a pure sativa.

i'm strangely allergic to indicas and just want to be 100% sure that it has no indica/afghani genetics before ordering. i also saw this pic (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=2876180&postcount=468), and that also has me scared... lol.

thanks!

100% sativa means different things to different people. There really is no way of knowing if there has been an introduction of Lebanese or Central Asian genetics to Panama at some point in time. Acclimatization to Spanish climate seems to favor a more robust phenotype, but if you're that allergic to afganica influence (like I am) I recommend you to stop second guessing and pick genetics that look like a pure sativa, and smoke like a pure sativa.

Simple as that, but it might prevent you from experiencing some excellent genetics along the way.

Hi, Kiwigreen420!
I haven´t finished the Panama yet, so I can´t judge on the final weight yet, but she looks like a good yielder. She has a nice structure (super croped her) and she is very vigorious. With your setup, your aim concerning the yield should be achievable, but I don´t think you´ll find a 9 weeker. I think this plant needs at least 11/12 weeks to finish.

Good luck with your grow!

Peace

Here's one going on 18 weeks, sorry for the bad pic. My opinion is that there are no indica in this.

thanks for your reply. due to my situation (growing outdoors in chicago and having to pull my crop before it freezes [usually right before nov 1st]), i'm looking for a fast flowering sativa and panama is really all i could find. i could take my chances with malawi or golden tiger, but i doubt the would finish by the end of october (unless i were lucky enough to get a specific very early pheno, if there even is one). ideally i would go with a thai strain, that as you said looks and smokes like a true sativa, but that's just outta the question due to my situation.

dubi just has me confused as he said one thing and then the other. maybe he'll pop up soon or maybe i should just pm him.

thanks for your input also, randycali.

Warcraft74 - If you want an even faster 100% sativa, go with Ciskei from Tropical seed company that is a 65 day or less flower landrace sativa. Pure caffeine up high from what I've gathered and no indica influence whatsoever.

You'll really regret it if you don't get this strain.
You can find the 1974 pheno that randycali has (I think) or the green pheno which is probably more of a typical sativa.

Is this description real? I just saw it at another shop and its different than the one on Ace's website.

ACE seeds Panama Feminized is another successful result of Ace Seeds breeders. This has been a project in the making of a new potential cannabis strain for several years now and is finally available for market! Using an IBL F4 Panama Green and infusing pollen from an early flowering IBL F4 Neville's Haze, Ace Seeds specialists have created a very potent, almost psychedelic sativa with no characteristics from the early indica influence added to the Haze.
Panama cannabis seeds produce marijuana plants with a typical sativa look, aromas and effects. They grow into tall well-proportioned plants of 6+" in height with an excellent leaf to bud ratio but pruning is required. It normally takes longer for this sativa cannabis variety to grow and mature; she also requires more light. After numerous attempts and numerous failures, the Panama strain, we offer, has the lowest flowering period yet to date, it lasts 12 weeks and ready for a harvest at the end of October. She is quite a good yielder and produces around 300 gr. of high quality marijuana.
Panama seeds were specially developed for indoor growing, it's not recommended to cultivate them in outdoor gardens. Pink and red flowers start to appear and spread fresh strawberry aroma.
Medicine produced from Panama sativa plants has lower CBD and higher THC counts which produce a more clear headed, energetic type of high which will take you back to the sixties. If compared with spirits, Panama is a fruit cocktail punch spiked with too much alcohol.

Panama hybrid is as is been said, Panama74/possible Panama Red Hair F2 females x 3 possible Panama Red males started this. I've uploaded info and pictures of this job for a decade, same Dubi
Above description has not sense about genetic make up. There is not Haze at all, just Panamas. Maybe they offer another cross.

I just purchased a pack of 15 panama seeds (10 plus an extra 5 on sale) and I was wondering with this release how likely I am to find a purple/pink expression?

Is there any extra info on this release that I might like to hear about?

Thanks kaiki, just what I thought.

For what its worth that description I posted was for Ace's Panama being sold at c@nnazon. Guess its just a mistake. :tiphat:

I think the pink hair is quite dominant, 3/4 or more turn pink outside or maybe more?.
I was lucky enough to get a green pheno out of 3 regular seeds.

My panamas are now 5 weeks since the flip, and have a deep lemony perfume.
One of the tops was hit with pollen from a single male flower produced by a heat stressed Think Different Auto. Will try the resulting pips outside this summer and hope to find something lemony and high yeilding that finishes before November.

Panama plant @ 7 weeks of flower, probably a green pheno but hard to tell indoors

Next to her is a gangly Oldtimer's Haze jungle @ 14 weeks of flower

I might not be right, but I was assuming that even indoors the pink would come through slightly. I really don't know though because I have only grown this one plant inside. Yours is beautiful, that pink is such a nice trait :tiphat:

Looking awesome Panacanna, how was she grown?
My panama cuts have taken some harsh treatment from me, pH problems and heat stress, they not looking as good as yours but fuck they can handle some abuse
