OZZZ's grow show

You know I thought about it but then got sidetracked with all these other tweaks. you think I should stake them now?

You can wait until they start flopping and branches are too heavy so you know how many stakes you actually need, that's kind of how I do it. I use 3 foot ones for my tent, they work out nicely. Usually 3-5 stakes per plant takes care of it and some twist ties/wire/line to tie some of those heavy branches to the stakes.

Now or later, either way is fine IMO.

Just installed my screen! Stoked!

Apple cider vinegar ... Im in the process of re-routing my ventilation for more verticle room, Ive re-done it twice now and just realized I f****d it up and now all my pieces of duct are too short for what I need to do. G&d D@mn m*th&r F*r

Day 21 12/12

Well the buds are doing great, but it does look like I have an issue of some sort and Im assuming its lockout from my tap water.

I have an entire thread on it over in the organic soil section, I found out my PH meter was off and it caused me all kinds of headaches. Just when I come to the conclusion thats all it was and all is fine... I come home and use a new pair of lumii grow room glasses I bought.

Well whada ya know ... Ive got streaking on the leaves. Much like Jbones mentioned earlier it looks like a zinc deficiency from the guides Ive read. Im guessing though that its from lockout. The other possiblity is it could be light burn? I notice three plants are affected by it, but its only the tallest buds that were closest to the light.

Ive done two things to fix it because I dont want to f*ck with it anymore and take chances. I bought an RO filter and will from now on use RO water for my grows and Ive raised the light more.

Contrary to what I have in my PH thread in the organic forum... I found out my tap water is PH 8 @ 450 ppms. (I previously thought it was 9 or higher but that was because my pen was off).

So do you guys think I should flush or just water with RO from here on out? Any and ALL suggestions are greatly appreciated Im all ears on how to get through this grow with minimal damage. I already know how to better approach my next grow, but getting the most possible out of this one I could use some help on.

Anyway ... heres the pics from day 21 12/12

Through the lumii glasses:

Here are the pics of the deficiency .... These are also taken through the lenses of my lumii growroom glasses that are supposed to correct for the HPS lighting. In person, it looks worse then these pics show by maybe 20%.

What do you guys think? Should I flush the shit out of them or just feed them proper water from here on out?

I did ;)

Those are the pics that came of it (the last three).

Im referring to the yellow, interveinal striping seen on those leaves there.

Its just the pics dont come out the same, unfortunately.

Thanks again youve been a big help :tiphat:

process of elimination, its not bleaching since the tops are not bleaching. Dont flush or the problem will worsen, its not lockout, its lack of strength of nutes for those tops closest to the light cause they will eat more an demand more. I would make a tea and water with that for the girls that are demaznddiing more or just some good ole black strap molasses which will cover all bases of ca/mg/zinc.

probably ur best bet is first approach em with the molasses an go from there bro.

Awesome ... I've got a big ol bottle of blackstrap unopened and my worm bins rockin .... ill water with blackstrap this time and ill do an ACT on the next and see what happens.

In the meantime I'm switching to RO permanently regardless.

cause you only have minimal deficiency. the yellowing of the edges/ridges seems to only be on the tops closest to the light which is a indicator of ur plants needin the goods in the molasses. its not all over the plants and not on all of them. you give a good amount of info to cifer the cause. if it was lockout all ur plants would be doing it and showing more problems than that. also you did a soil mix that pretty much wont cause lock out.

Right on. I gave them an epsom salt watering about four days ago @ 3/4 teaspoon per gallon and top dressed the pots with a tablespoon of tomato tone per pot that is 3-4-6 with 8% calcium plus a teaspoon of lime when I put them into flower so I seriously doubt its a cal or mag issue. This round of soil was mixed weak that's why I gave it to them.

... but ill definitely water with molassis tho and act next watering and see how they react!

Thanks man...

How do I use zinc chelate ? I've been giving them a watering here and there with Neptune fish seaweed 2-3-1 so they are getting some potassium but maybe not enough?

I could up the neptune feeding or top dress with bone meal?

I have an ACT bubbling now with molassis and some castings

Honestly, you can use Zinc chelate dissolved in water, its a supplement..

But man, I think once you get that good tea in em, your gonna be ballin bro.. If the p source is organic, the tea will make it available... You got this bro, I dont even know why im here, just scopin your grow!

you minor issue could have popped up cause of your drip combined with the fact that your top dressed.with your ca and its not disolving the same as hand watering. when you top dress do you work it into the soil good and add some soil ontop of it or just lay it on top? either way it is minor and the tea with molasses will squash it. make sure you hand water the tea mix.

Hi there Oz!

Despite your ph issues your plants have amazing vigour and look like they're loving it in that tent. The canopy's looking great and I love how you lined them all up waiting to get a haircut haha.

Will be checking your updates over the next few weeks.
