I have been growing since 1970 and I have heard of talk to many growers and I have seen them look like mr Green jeans (from Capt Kangaroo) carring a shotguns, to mexican carring pistolas and machities to Columbian wheeleding
automatic weapons, and plantation mind with claymores and fishhooks hanging in trees, and as high teck as ground movement sensors.

Where is this 1 plant + 1 gun = 10 years fed coming from? I've never seen anything like that...doing some searching but haven't found anything definitive...the only thing I've found it for was "carrying while trafficking", not just possessing at a grow. Mine are locked up in a gun cabinet anyhow.

TV commercials here show man in prison talking about he messed his life up w/drugs and gun.

10 yrs fed time is what they selling on the add...idk wtf they up to, but I seen it...

Here's the only thing I've found:

I. FIREARMS CHARGES OFTEN USED IN INDICTMENTS

A. Possession or use of a Firearm in Connection with a Drug Felony

A great number of federal Indictments charging Title 21 drug charges or drug trafficking include the federal weapons charge of possessing or using a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking felony. This allegation is found at Title 21, United States Code, Section 924(c). This commonly-used charge is significant in that, in addition to the sentence that could be imposed under federal sentencing, that is, under the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, a “924(c)” charge carries a mandatory minimum of five (5) years. This means that in addition to any Guidelines sentencing for drug charges for possession with intent to distribute (based upon a quantity larger than that considered to be for personal use) or for drug trafficking (distribution), a conviction of a 924(c) charge would mandate that five (5) years be added to the Guidelines sentence.

In order to convict for this charge, the government has to prove that 1) a firearm weapon 2) was possessed or “used” (brandished, pointed, carried, etc.) 3) in connection with a drug trafficking felony. Sometimes, defendants are convicted if a firearm is present with or near controlled substances that are the subject of charges for possession with intent to distribute, or distribution of controlled substances (drug trafficking).

Crazy ,absolutely nutts. Can you say asking for it?If you grow any effort to protect your home ia. fences, dogs.signs, guns etc...screams Im a grower. They actually use the presence of dogs and keep out signs nowadays as evidence to get a warrant. You got a pit bull?Cops are now trained to automatically assume that if you own a pit you have drugs.Thats right.Any dangerous dog really but pitbull just screams drug dealer might as well get a few gold teeth and tint your windows while you at it.Ya know what the best defense is nowadays?Look like the frikn jonses.Little pink house white picked fence, clean tended yard, plant some daisys you get the picture folks at least I hope so...keep it safe people.Id rather live to grow another day than worry about somone stealin my shit.

Boy, some of you guys sure love your guns! Here in the UK the media would have you believe that we're all horrified at the US 'obsession' with guns, but the truth of the matter is that many of us dearly wish we had a 4th amendment right too.

Any of you out there who think that England is full of green leafy lanes and people who say "I'm frightfully sorry old chap" can think again. Our cities are thug grand central and even our traffic wardens wear stab-proof vests. Attacking or defending yourself against robbery/burglary/mugging will most likely see you facing prosecution whilst the perpetrator walks free. Possession of any firearm (except licensed shotguns) will earn you a mandatory minimum 5 years inside. Use a replica (i.e. toy) gun in a crime and it will be treated as if it were real.

Private licensed ownership of firearms, including semi-autos, was allowed in a heavily restricted fashion (definately NO conceal and carry) until one nutjob wiped out half a village some years ago and that was the end of gun ownership for us. Of course, only the criminals now have firearms and they're using them more and more frequently. Last official estimate was that there are 'somewhere between 250000 and 10 million illegal weapons' in this country (population 60 million). Well at least they're sure about that then!

I was raided many years ago and had a licensed shotgun on the premises. The plants gave me a problem but at the time they were more bothered that the gun wasn't locked in a cabinet (I was lazy). Nowadays I suspect that the combination of the two would put me in a world of hurt. These days I wouldn't dream of keeping guns and grows together (even if I had that option!) but the chances of robbers coming armed are very high indeed. What the hell do we do - we're not even allowed tasers or cs gas. Bears and wolves are a little thin on the ground these days but I'd sure love the right to bear arms against the scumbags out there.

Your 4th amendment rights might be under assault but it could be a lot worse believe me!

Our 2ND amendment is the fun one with the guns (half of us dont even know that) . Our 4th is the one about illegal searches and seizures from the swine, which frequently gets waived. not to get in a argument about who lives in the tougher country but if they see you with even a replica gun around here you are liable to get 50 rounds coming your way. hell if your the wrong color and reaching for your wallet or eating a candy bar you might be cannon fodder to the giddy po-louses. it does blow that you cant defend yourself from the criminals who are gonna have firearms anyways

besides a Physician's Medical MJ recommendation, I also have a Concealed Weapons permit ... I just recently discovered my gun permit is no good if I use marijuana, medically, or otherwise ... my County specifically prohibits marijuana users from having a concealed weapons permit ... it evidently IS OK to be a meth-user, a heroin addict, or an alcoholic, as they only specify and single out marijuana ... WTF ?

I hate that mentality against pitbulls, they are a great breed. Smart as hell, only mean and the "killer" dog if you train it to be.

Its a shame that having a pitbull and a gun makes one a drug dealer now.... fkin media and the cops sensationalize that stuff....
