needed more room so they got moved to a 4 foot by 8 foot table under 320 watt LEDs each with 120 watts

of 6600k strip lights

running it at 880 watts with 408 ppfd at the plant @ 4900k

Except we didn't have LEDs back then.

just started using them last Spring and was hating them did some research and learned

how to use them correctly

they indeed grow the weed

I live in CNY further upstate than you based on latitude mentioned - just @ 1300’ - This is Cambodian / Laos x Ohaze…. This plant came from a seed that volunteered itself and never saw a minute indoors it’s whole life… You can do it !

I’m in southern NY, I had a seed randomly pop out of a bucket last summer , also never saw a minute indoor just like yours.

The key in this climate is to just grow more than you need and expect to lose some. Probably a good idea no matter where you’re at. In the past 21 years I’ve done a lot of outdoor and greenhouse here, best years have been by vegging big plants indoors over the winter and putting out early in the greenhouse for a spring crop and then later a fall crop, using light deprivation to get the fall crop in before the cold and wet.

That random seed plant in the pics was pulled 3rd week of October, lost maybe 25% of it to rot and caterpillars but still pulled a good amount.

Today is 2/29/2024

yesterday afternoon here at around six o'clock the wind started blowing at between

45 and 60 MPH and snowing to beat the band

by 9 pm we lost power until 2 am my lights go out at 10 pm and come back on a 4 am

so the room was around 82 and well insulated a few hours without heat is not going to kill the Weed

but the power going on and off killed the STC 1000 controller I was using as a thermostat

it got a touch cold in the room but the almost 1000 watts of LEDs when they came on warmed

the room back up so it was all good

I live on the top of the Mohawk river valley at 1150 feet and the wind blows

here all but 3 or 4 days a year

but not a sixty

of course I just took my backup generator in to be serviced, piss poor timing

all the best and grow well

Yes sir ! Yesterday with the kids during snow day - 36 hours earlier I was in T shirt & shorts, which I’ll be in again in a couple days - quite nice today now too, low 50’s

the shelves ares too small so everything is now on tables, I am running 5 - 2 foot x 4 foot

light arrays that can be ran at 320 watts each

I have three over a 4 foot x 8 foot table running at 175 watts each for a total of 525 watts

and two over a 4 foot by 4 foot table running at 225 watts each for a total of 450 watts

what is nice this time of year the lights will heat the room

would rather pay for KWHr to run lights not a heater

things got trimmed an spread out as it is time to get growing

starting to come back after the trim looking for nice bushes

may make some f2s with these plants Blue Mountain

I stopped growing for about five years had a neighbor from hell move here, I wanted to set them on fire

but my wife frowned upon it

so I brewed beer for while for something to do, told my wife it was better than cooking

2022 my third year outside since 1995 and fifth year back to growing the neighbor died of breast cancer

I have a Medical and can have 6 so I put outside 70 just encase we have bad weather this is New York

I did have 30 Autos out but I did not count them with the 70 as they finish way early and after

the 99 it gets different

did say I have a shit ton of plants ?

hot damn , I am all caught up now!…what a trip it has been!

I was modding at the Cabana when schitt went south…it started between Dman and Muggles

long story short , Dman went off the rails and banned Muggles and then wiped all the posts where they were arguing

ya just can’t ban a Moderator , let alone one of the founders of the Cabana , not at least without a fair trial with the other Mods

so when I realized that the Mods really had zero authority and Dman showed himself to be the power tripping insecure dictator , i said fvck this , deleted every post and Thread I ever said a word in and I left…around 5 years ago

that place went in the shitter and just recently went public and in are heading in another entirely different direction from the old place….

i have shook the dust off and not looking back
