Outside Grower inside for the winter but outside soon in New York

Another beautiful fall day I feel like a jerk for taking mine early.. the ones I left outside are doing just fine.. what I brought inside is very nice and very clean if I left it outside it would’ve been twice as swollen with maybe more loss due to contaminants.. it’s always a 50-50 roll of the dice

I pull my plants out pretty slowly most seasons and this year also pulled more than I had to on the 6th but that is already late in the season on my mountain and still have the legal 12 up at homie's going looong for headstash... some of the chems and cookies want more time to mature but I took a bunch of branches early to dry in time for the harvest fest I'm going to in VT.

rain only, no IPM, no sprays, no feeds, 3 mineral top dressings.

Funny you should say that because the Chem that you gave me is one of the last three in the field the other two are blue dream

It’s another sunshiny day and I’m still second-guessing myself but should add that I didn’t have the nervousness about leaving them out so that’s a good consolidation next year I will do things differently

I have been finishing up my big ass Island Sweet Skunk x Holy Goddess it did not fair as well

as I hoped with all the rain

I still will do OK but lost 40 - 50 % my Purple Diesel x Holy diesel is still and going strong will

take it down maybe this weekend

I have a piece of it drying cut a big stalk to look at, I have not seen any mold/rot so far so

good

but the ISS x HG I did not see the mold inside the bud until breaking them down, the joy of the

outside grower

But no complaints I did great over all and the light bill this summer was a joy

Strange weather.. I think I’m fairly close to flower power and my summer was hot and dry until mid/end of August. I didn’t need to spray my fruit trees this year. Ordinarily my fruit would rot but this year was a spray free good sized harvest.

@Chunkypigs ... beautiful plants! Whenever I see your plants makes my eyes red just thinking about them.

Strange weather.. I think I’m fairly close to flower power and my summer was hot and dry until mid/end of August

I am East closer to Albany, but about 35 - 45 west on the top of the Mohawk River Valley

at 115O feet and I get the weather off of Oneida Lake

most of May June here we were covered with the smoke from Canada and it was colder

it warmed up for most of July and a couple weeks in August after that rain and rain and more rain

I have a 22 foot dug well so full of water had to make a ditch for the water to run out to the

ditch along the road

with all that being said and the strange weather I worked inside since 2001, moved outside in

2020 and could not be happier

inside is great but outside for me is over the top good and if I could do 100 plants without

Johnny Law whacking them down

I would be in heaven New York says Six in Flower and Six in Veg so outside that works for me

in the grow room counting is not my strong suit

Starting to feel a sadness my last plant will come down Friday as it is to rain next week

so if I can get in and hung to dry I will be done by next weekend

I have a grow room as maybe just a few to keep in practice over the winter

like my Grandma always told me "idle hands are the Devil's tool box"

I would hate to get into trouble also I can grow 12 inside

need to trim and dry first

as for trimming at this point licking a frozen metal flag pole sounds better

Update 10/20/2023 all plants are in trimmed and in jars

I have 140 - 1 quart Mason Jars curing and have made 2 gallons of very hot canna oil

I have 3 or 4 pounds of stuff to cook with or whatever

overall for the wet and crappy year outside I did well

I will be fixing whatever needs help in my grow room over the weekend and because they

will let me grow six plants in flower I shall

I am not going to use my LEDs at this time as I did more work using LEDs and I am

a lazy stoner

I will hang a double ended fixture and use a Lumatek 600 watt electronic ballast

I have some Solis Tek bulbs I pickup cheap awhile ago to run

I have 8 cuts in the water but found a vendor up the road from the salt mine I work at

that has teens in 1 gallon pot for a fair price also has some xl teens

I may do that just because

Today is 1/11/2024 And A Happy New Year to all

in about 110 days I will be back outside with plants in the ground G_d willing

not sure if I am going to drop seeds or just find some cuts/clones

it is so nice not to be growing over the winter and have to keep up a room

I do love to grow but if I start with a seed and I will drop 150 seeds and

have way too many plants and no room in no time

at the least if i wait to drop some beans in March I can grow my way out of the room

I can only have six and need to build a greenhouse

It has been awhile I have taken a trip down the rabbit hole of making oil for vape cartridges

and disposable pens

I have smoke so much oil I will never rot when I die

a lot to learn and so much bullshit folks share on the web, sadly if you can cut and paste

quickly you are an expert

after smoking 100 grams oil out of 200 1/2 gram cartridges and pen I have it down

to my liking made as it should

last batch I made I started with Diamonds, had to move to my grow room

glass ware paints a very bad picture for my wife

found someone local selling cuts may check out his work as his price for

Medical patients are good

my medical runs out in July 2024 but we should be able to grow Rec at the end of June 2024

so we will see

Today is 2/19/2024

Time to get my 2024 outside grow on the road, I have had the room closed down until mid January

stated some beans

this is on 1/27/2024 started some regulars and some feminized seeds

my soil-less is trash and things are not right

PPFD is way too high

spectrum is not bad

things are way off

after taking the time to read about how to grow under LEDs I came read about how LEDs have

no infrared light

so with HIDs when you air temperature is 77 F you leaves are 80 - 82 F

go figure took the temp of my leaves and they were way cold no wonder they were not

growing

I did go out and buy a bale of Pro Mix BX with fungicide and mycorrhizae gave them a re pot in

the same cups

my other soil less was like mud when wet and rock when dry but the plants were not growing

anyway

on 2/03/2024 I went out and bought a humidifier to dial things in

got the heat up and the humidity higher things are starting to grow

after get my temp up to 81 -83 F and my Humidity up to 84% things are starting to grow

some Blue Mountain ( Capstone x DJ Shorts Blue Berry) left some in the cup to build roots
