I can only have six so will be giving a bunch away, I like to grow 5 or 6 different things to have a

choice of what to smoke over the winter

Still cold out there though

May First will be here before we know it ;)

ill be catching up within the month :).

no doubt

all the best and enjoy the day

You filled that space so much there is no room for you. Looks great!

May 1st is right around the corner. Hoping my space will look like that photo as well!

Be safe out there...I'll be here in your thread trying to match you! Friendly competition xD.

I need to build a greenhouse this spring as the wet falls are brutal here :(

I got a lot of bud but could have done more lost stuff to mold/rot

the plants I thought would have been mold resisted where not

the hard budded Indica did well even with the wet weather

I am thinking of doing a 20 foot by 40 foot one so I can have a little extra space to grow

other things

I have some poppies I want to grow outside this years

I am so glad I did not start any more seeds :)

I can have six in flower and six in veg I have 50 or so I will need to thin the herd

I will give a bunch away to folks who are looking to try growing

New York says that a the end of June you can grow rec here but they did say something

about delaying it

I will renew our medical one more time as it was nice to grow and not worrying about

Johnny Law stopping by :)

after having 70 or so plants whacked down in 2022 :(

Well to all my Outside Growing Friends here is to a good season in

New York or wherever you may be

maybe not as wet as last year

Be safe and stay free

We had plans in the works for a greenhouse. We had issues with our thick buds with mold. The stretched out limmy bushes had very little bc the bud structure was smaller. We are a bit more south than you are.

We do ok because outside we are in a field on top of the mountain allowing full sun(mostly) bc we are above the dense forests. Night time was when the mold would find a place and also the snails would attack. Thick dense buds get soaked at night. So the sun is our friend during the day to stop the mold from spreading.

Last year I had mine where in the fall they got sun a bit late in the morning because I did

not want to pay for the medical :(

in the end I did but they were in the ground so I did not move them

this year I am good and will renew one more time while New York figure out the rec thing

I have the perfect spot that gets full sun from sun up to sun set

the falls are damp and cold with dew like rain, used a leaf blower one year it helped

I have been wanting a greenhouse just because

grow well and be safe

I have used Peters forever and have liked it a lot

but it has always given me a green that has not really moved me
:frowning:

I was posting with a grower last spring somewhere and we have posted back and forth

since 2001 on many boards that have come and gone

he like me comes from the greenhouse trade and we were raised on WR Peters and Jack’s Classic

I was checking a grow of his out and saw the beautiful emerald green his plants were

and had to ask him what he was using

he said this is what he is using start to finish and loving it inside and out

MEGA CROP – Greenleaf Nutrients

I used it outside start to finish in 2023 but when I started flowering I did hit them with

Monopotassium phosphate MKP 0-52-34 and also as seedlings

I like to water them in with it when I put them in ground the 0-52-34 is good for roots

whatever works for you is best
my 2 cents

DSCN7670.JPG

24 plants moved spread out, they look orange as the lights are 3900 k I need to add some 6600 k

strips to get up to 5500 k

DSCN7671a.jpg

@flower~power

What are some of the attributes that you’re going to be looking for when you start selecting your females?

that my friend is a good question :) I have no plans as of yet to make beans but that always could

change

Most of the time I put out plants in seven gallon pots that have grown over the winter so they

have great roots system

this last fall I shut my room down after the last plant was dried, I can only have six ;) to be

good with the Law so they need to be big

Last spring I was hating my grow room and LEDs :( so I just started my beans for the season

mid January

I need to get big plants and time will be tight, I put my plants out the first of May this

year I may keep them inside a couple weeks longer that will depend on our

weather

But to answer your question I have Road Kill Skunk F2 regulars, Sweet Tooth # 4 regulars,

Blue Mountain (Capstone x DJ Short's Blueberry) regulars and GMO x Dragon's Blood F5

regulars

I have 8 of each at these that I will pick females from and the Blue Mountain maybe a male

I will start by looking at the plants for uniformity and how quickly they show sex and how they

do under my abuse ;)

some plants do not do so well for me so I do not grow them, autos do not like me at

all

I have 3 things that are feminized so they are what they are, most of them I will share

I may keep the six I can in veg

I am starting to like my lights a lot better as now I know how to use them, I will be breaking

out a cloner soon as I have folks I give clones to

Last night 2/21/2024

DSCN7680a.jpg

so here are 30 plants in 1 gallon round pots all I can fit under the lights I am using at this time

the light arrays are 2 foot x 4 foot and each can be driven at 320 watts, right now I am using them at

225 watts each @ 3900 k for a spectrum

may add some 6600 k strips I have, just need to watch the plants

Last spring I blamed all my growing problems on LEDs and the fact they are 3550 k lights :( so like

anything if you do not know how to use it correctly you will use it wrong more than likely

I did and was

DSCN7682a.jpg

stuff still on a shelf, I have 3 arrays that cover a 4 foot x 8 foot space super well, I can run them at

950 watts so light I have

DSCN7683a.jpg

DSCN7684a.jpg

DSCN7685a.jpg

even under the orange light the green is looking good I have been giving them every watering and doing

the third watering with plain water

I have been using 1/4 teaspoon of CalMag, 1/4 teaspoon fulvic humic acid, 1/4 teaspoon NPK 0-52-34 and

1/4 teaspoon Mega Crop 9-7-14 to a gallon of water

we will see wanting to push them along I need to get them big to go out

DSCN7686a.jpg

they are doing way better then a week ago :) funny what 82 F will do for a plant ;)

like I said I can have 6 outside with no worries I have 3 things that are going feminized so they will be

3 of my six

Sweet Tooth # 4, Devil's Punch and Lava Cake x Pressure, I am hoping to be able to hack at these over

the weekend to start shaping them in to bushes

so at this time picking females ;)

be safe and grow well

this evening 2/22/2024

the plants are growing well and the humidity is getting a bit high so it is time to break

out the dehumidifier

being they are growing so well it is time for a bit of scissor training

DSCN7688a.jpg

taken off half to 2/3 of the top growth should to lower the humidity

DSCN7689a.jpg

DSCN7690a.jpg

you get the idea looking to grow really big bushes

DSCN7694b.jpg

DSCN7693a.jpg

anything that did not get whacked is feminized so the tops will get cloned

DSCN7692a.jpg

still a bit too little :) but soon ;) all my regulars got trained

what I am looking for in my six plants

DSCN7469.jpg

the one in the center is a single Holy Goddess plant :) Aunt Kathy says only six plants or she will

have the boyz in blue stop by

never said how big they could be. so I will grow them huge

be safe and have a great evening
