Always good to thank God. Plants are looking amazing, Revegetta!Gotta save your back!
It always makes it more fun to do things the easy way. Really catching up quick with the sunny days. Just roll them around to stay in the sun and they still get the benefit of having some shade nearby to cool the area a little.

Some sayings we have around here, "Work smarter not harder." and "If you use your brain more, you'll use your feet less."

Going to have to water tomorrow for sure. What in the world, we are getting some of the hottest weather we can get here and a heat wave of a week near the end of the summer! Going to be 98 F Thursday!

My brother who has multiple sclerosis is going to get a jar from me this weekend. Will be good to get his feedback and smoke report. He always just goes to the dispensaries since my outdoor has been iffy in the past. 2022 was spot on, some plants were better than others. This year, garden is even better, and I think the medicine will be heavenly. :smoke:

Haha I knew you would pop for that one ;)

"If you use your brain more, you'll use your feet less."
Very close to our saying but inverted, translated "he who has no brain, must have legs" (qui no tingui cap, que tingui cames).

Best of luck with that mate. Have you thought about asking him which plants he likes best from the dispensary and grow a clone for him?

We've had a bit of high altitude smoke the last couple months but not enough to block out the UV or foul the air. Our luck ran out today. It's not terrible yet but I can smell the smoke and there's a strange chill in the air. Last night I could feel the wind shift, smell the salt from the ocean which means inspections for stalk rot. Tomorrow's suppose to be bad, tomorrow night the winds are suppose to shift again and blow the smoke out east where it belongs...

I've been lucky so far with stem rot, only lost one small lower branch on one plant so far. Last year at this time I lost an entire plant, rotted entirely through the stalk. The smoke encourages botrytis and powdery mildew by dropping temperatures, raising humidity, and blotting out the UV light. Rain cleans it out of the air and puts out the fires but that's not a good thing for mold either. The fire and smoke has become a yearly 'season', mid August-mid October.

Everything responded well to the last fertilization, they look like different plants compared to a couple weeks ago. Happy to see several early ones starting to tuft, most of the rest are finishing stretching and tossing a few hairs. Only a few aren't showing signs of flowering. The Baloch King Bud still hasn't sexed. Frustrating but they're native to 29 degrees N latitude. I calculate they won't start to flower until the 1st or 2nd week of September. Anything earlier then that is bonus. If they're male I hope they're early enough to get some pollen.

The mountain plants from Hopar Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan are slower than I hoped. They're stretching but haven't fully flipped. I expect they'll start any day now. Hopar is at a higher latitude and altitude, the plants have to finish by mid October to avoid frost. They smell incredible, especially the big purple one. It's full of dessert flavors, vanilla, berry, fruit, cream, one of the best smelling veg plants ever. Looking forward to finding out what the flowers are like. Here's a picture of the green.

And the big purple. She's grown incredibly fast July-August.

My Maui X (sour d x sweet diesel) has bushed out into a beast. Tying her back early was a good idea, she's got a lot of tops. Here's a look from a couple different angles.

Plants are all stretched out and starting to build pretty well with marble size or better flowers, 1/2-3/4 inch!

Had to pull that yellowing Cheese x Lebanese plant on the corner, it had root issues I could tell, and when I pulled it it came right out. Roots had damping off likely due to the regular rains and being close to the walking path. Its too bad because it was flowering ahead of schedule. Left it out there to hang in the tree, going to be dry and warm, so may cure out better doing it that way, leaving it whole plant for a slow dry.

Plants are responding well to the space from taking some out, and have filled in the canopy! Checked the soil, they're ready for watering, which they will need before the big heat wave. Not too much disease going on despite the long dew periods! Plants appear well fed, done with fertilizer unless deficiencies pop up.

The heat the next few days with some heavy watering should help the flowers pop out pretty nice! Going to be making some oils! :smoke:

Very nice work indeed. The Maui X is a real beauty, what a solid genetic that must be, man, fantastic work!

Seems, your quite a bit further in altitude. Still waiting for a full flower to set on,

Its just fascinating too see how different latitudes and even altitudes from a geographic standpoint, and then see how far along the flowering cycle begins or ends, all over the globe.

In my area it's one of those mold years, rain 4-5 days a week all summer, very high humidity too. So I've been keeping a close eye on the ladies, cutting out any moldy buds I find. Had to take down some plants a week early to try and avoid loosing too much.
Took the auto affie at day 58 of flower, could have went to 65 days but still turned out ok. Super dense buds so a little bit of a mold magnet when the weather isn't there. But she's totally worth taking a chance on.

My big freezeland ibl ( the green pheno) seems to be handling the weather pretty good. Hopefully going to take her in 3-4 weeks...

I've been cutting some mold off the pink pheno freezeland. Buds are more "clumped" together so take a little longer to dry. Smells like sweet bubblegum!

The Iranian Autoflower didn't do as well, got quite a bit of mold throughout those big colas. Took one early, lost 50-60% to mold and took all the big tops off this one. Left the rest to properly mature but afraid it'll all mold up.

The mighty freeze and whitey feeze seem pretty mold resistant, very little mold on them...

Put down a few extra galllons of water this time because of the expecte heat wave, it was around 130 gal over 4-5 hours. So it all soaked in and I could have watered more but it was about right. Don't want to overwater and promote root rot and damping off issues. Forecast to be 95-100 F for a couple days with heat index of 111F!

The Cheese x Hindu Kush does smell like cheese. Its different though from the early pulled Cheese x Lebanese which is more sweet, the cheese x hindu kush smells like cheese it cheese in a way only the real deal. :smoke:

Plants are all doing well, just a yellow leaf on a couple of the really tall ones, but thats normal. Lots of lady bugs, I saved one out of the mud and put him on a plant. Haven't sprayed a thing. :smoke:

Don't forget to water the birds and bees! Looks like they're loving it. Saved a ladybug out of the mud yesterday. I put some water out yesterday, 130 gallons. Yeah not walking it up the hill anymore. If you have a small brain, you must have big legs.

Couldn't find my frog, must have grown up and moved out. :smoke:

You know its hot when you can hear the sweat sizzle in the pipe. Cannabis helps cope with the heat and fatigue by the way, very valuable medicine! :smoke:

Cheese x Hindu Kush leaf mutation seen just on 2 of the leaves. A few leaves on it have the one extra leaflet, but this is an interesting expression! :smoke:

Has anyone seen that extra crazy leaf with a petiole mutation? Looks pretty rare.

The front of the garden was looking a little thin because of some plants that had been pulled, so when the soil is moist, the plants were leaned out toward the fence. This is better for camoflage as well as opening up the garden for more light and better airflow for the other plants.

I always pull native vegetation in and if necessary stick it in the fence to form a continuous canopy for camoflage.

I've seen it in pictures before, not in my own plants. It's a cool mutation. Some plants also grow flowers there.

I scrapped a sativa candy chunk with that the other day, but later decided against it. Its a intermittant expression usually, and not throughout the entire plant. Not a big deal. Had a couple others I saw with the extra leaflet, but its not damaging in any way either. The mutations that affect the stem and growing points, those plants I usually cull.

I had to go tie up the big one at night as the storm went through Los Angeles but they made it! I hope everyone else in its path had the same luck, not just with your gardens, but families and properties too. 2 more months until chop!!!
