Dying Clone? - LC Mix 2 + Dry ferts

Dying Clone? - LC Mix 2 + Dry ferts

Hello...
The first post.. So.. If this is not the right place, please let me know.

I have an issue.

LC Mix 2 w/ Dry ferts including greensand as described. Kept it moist and mixed. Cooked for 2 weeks.

Potted a (very small) clone 2 days ago... Some Mexican Sativa x Afghan strain. It came in rockwool. I planted it in the LC Mix 2 as described above (w/ ferts) and watered it to ensure the all of the medium was moist. The plant has been pretty droopy ever since. I noticed some yellowing yesterday and today it looks like this (see pict). The plant has four sets of tiny leaves... So far this one leaf looks pretty bad. Sorry it's so blurry, but the cheap camera I had couldn't focus on the leaf.

Haven't watered since.. I've read some "problem" threads on a few sites, but I'm a bit concerned b/c it's a baby.. I assume the wrong diagnosis could be kinda fatal at this point.

Help?

The newb'.

Hey all...

Well.. I did some more digging and.. I don't think the clone was well rooted. I didn't see any roots coming out of the rockwool before I planted it. So... I made a humidity dome and it seems like its a bit more lively. At least it can hold itself up now...

I'd love to get any insight from anyone.. Perhaps I'm off or not aware of other issues?

Thanks!

Yeah, your clones need to be WELL ROOTED before putting them into a mix with blood/bone/kelp. The nitrogen will kill young clones and seedlings.
Use plain LC's Mix for them.

that's why i root in perlite/vermiculite 50-50 in a propagation flat with individual cells and a tray underneath. When I pull on the stem and the whole cell moves, I know there is a rootball and it is safe to transplant. If it's not solid I let it root some more.

For those who were helping me before...
I snapped a few pics with my cell phone today to show the yellowing. Keep in mind, the last pic I posted was taken on monday.

I've already removed quite a few leaves that were dead. It just seems to be happening pretty rapidly, hence my worry.
Nothing to worry about, or do I need to feed her?
Looks pretty healthy...check your immobile elements.....It looks like mobiles are stable, I didnt see anything but healthy new growth...I am not a pro in any way but I would look nitrogen level first....good luck

Nitrogen is mobile within the plant. Right now his plant is taking it from old growth to feed the new. The matter of preference is whether you want to keep doing that, or feed.

Sometimes feeding helps, like if it's going to flower for 3 months. Other times, stressing is better and causes intense flowering. Then you have to consider your own style. You are the artist paint what you want.

I had the same condition on a scrog not long ago, and I took the advice to give light and balanced feeding. I gave fish hydrolysate and it certainly didn't hurt.

nice, :yeahthats at least you know the plant is efficiently proccessing and metabilizing shit
i always thought plants with your type of yellowing always looked damn beefy to me
i see it as plart of the fully switchin to concentrating on flower power

Do you dilute the following tea in water or water with it as is? I've been diluting it at 3-4 litres per 5 gallon as another thread with a similar tea says to do, but this one does not say to dilute it so I was wondering...Thanks a lot for answer.

Flowering nute tea mix:
2/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano
2/3 cup Earth Worm Castings
2/3 cup High P Guano (Indonesian or Jamaican)
5 tsp. Maxicrop 1-0-4 powdered kelp extract
(That makes the "dry mix". You can make all you want and save it to use later.)
Mix with water @ 2 cups of dry mix into 5 gallons of water to make the tea.
To that 5 gallons of tea add:
5 tbs. Liquid Karma
5 tbs. Black Strap Molasses
Use it to water with EVERY watering.

I would leave out the guanos. Just top dress them. And make straight ewc tea if you have equipment.

Also no need to give tea every day.

Hello,

I took cuttings off the top of the girls in my veg, I did this in hope that i would kill two birds w/ one stone.(top the plants, and start some new plants).

At any rate about four days later the alot of the new tips stopped growing ,got a bit shriveled, and turned a little yellow.

P.S. I did spray Neem a day after i took the cuttings.....?

Any ideas as to what this is.

-deficient in nutes
-stress
-ect

Thank you for any and all help.....

Quick question. I finally have all the ingredients for mixing my soil. I'm going to be using LC #2 with the dry ferts. I wanted to try some compost tea ans I'm going to keep it simple for now, I'll just use EWC, molasses, and Kelp meal (or should I substitute liquid seaweed/ hydrolysate for Kelp). 3-4 cups EWC in 5 gallon bucket.

Would I need to dilute the tea before feeding? How about a foliar?

Are you saying you are only going to use plain LC's Mix with worm castings, molasses and kelp? If so, that won't work.
Follow the recipe if you want to be successful.
One cup worm castings to five gallons of water is plenty.

How big of a deal is it to substitute Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed ( .1-0-1) for the powdered in the following recipe?

Flowering nute tea mix:
