ON THAT COCO S#@*

so you drop micro and bloom at the same time? i would have to think all your leaves are still green when you chop if you wait that long.
Yes, and I want it that way. I actually believe having inbalance at the end of harvest causes some nutes to stay locked in.

the trick for me and quality taste is never adding too much nutes that the medium or plant builds it up causing them to get to high levels. that is where u can taste nutes imo. And also properly drying and curing. I know some people swear by leaves turning yellow and fading and all that. Ive done that, and with coco particularly I think it best to have that small amount keeping them healthy, balanced, and able to use what nutrients they need till the end with a balanced cec.

Its winter here, 27 degrees right now. I have forced air oil heat but I quit using it 5 years ago and heat a 3000 square foot house with 2 wood stoves, no heat at night, I like it cold, night time temps in the high 40s-low 50s. If I can't see my breath when I wake up it was too hot. My grow room is a 6'x14' walk in closet. In winter it stays in the low 40s, lights off. Lights on the 1k keeps it in the mid 70s. I just put a tiny electric heater in there to keep the temp up to around 62 now, lights off. I'm not a cashcropper so I'm not spending anymore money to grow this stuff then it would cost me to go buy it. I hated to even plug in a tiny 200w heater. I be a subsistence grower:tiphat:

Stoned do you have the heater connected to an environmental controller ? so it turns on and off when temps get to high and low know what I mean ? or are you keeping those space heaters on 24/7 if so that's kind of scary in my opinion those things aren't meant to run like that. If anything I would plug it into a good timer but I would never run those things more than a couple hours only used space heaters to raise temps in my room for broadmite heat treatments max number of hours they were on were 3. The boxes even say to not run them past a certain number of hours. Unless you got some newer heaters and im just on old ass technology lol

shit stoned just reread your post you run it at night so for 12 hours bloom to 18hrs in veg ? thats still a long time to run space heaters for. If you have just normal space heaters from home depot etc. like I do I would'nt run those for that long like I said i bet a good timer could solve this problem if its not connected to a controller but thats just my 2 cents I would be so paranoid having space heaters on for that long.

I only have a heater in the bloom room. The plants in veg do ok without one because they are up high and only have to go 6 hrs without heat. I bought the smallest heater I could find, it's like 4"X7" and only 200w, ceramic. I could lay it face down on the rug and it wouldn't start a fire:biggrin: A tiny cheapass personal heater from amazon you got to lay on your head to feel the heat. I worry about fires but not from that little frikken thing:tiphat:

Master larry is overnuted for sure and I was only at 1.5 ec including the drip clean at 1ml pr gal. The cheese looks super dark green as well. My chem dog (can eat anything) showing signs of tip burn and slight clawing. I waterd all with about 20% run off so it shouldnt be from no run off. Im gonna drop back to 1.2 ec as everything was great there. Not sur whats going on...I see no bugs.
im wondering if the drip clean is making 6/9 too much (I think it helps with nutrient uptake). Or if I need to wait til mother is on 6/9 ..then the clones will b able to take it as well.

Speaking of fire hazard...I had a powerstrip spark for who knows what reason. Luckily the thing kicked the system off. I had to do a temp fix but it will be solved tomorrow.
thats y I paid the extra 5 dollars for the better strip.

Always buy quality electrical products. Poor connection could cause a spark. Or faulty equipment or wires. check all ur wires and connections.

Cheese is to dark green..master larry to dark and tip burn and chem d showing a touch of tip burn and is pretty green as well. So I think ill stay at 4.5/7 for most unless I see a deff then ill use 6/9. If it stays like this I guess its less nutes so whateves..ill just try to keep em as wet as possible now and prob use this ec but maybe do a 4.5/9 for a boost in weeks 5/6.then cutting micro out.
my plants dont seem to need that much n.
my veg plants look a little off so I did hit them with a 6/9 feed but will watch n see from here. Maybe go back to 4.5/7 if I see burning.
Peace.

Is ur environment dialed? Are the roots well developed in the pot? Are u getting any run off. These are why u would be getting too much salt concentration. Yeah some plants might require a little less strength, but it sounds like ur getting salt build up. Maybe its time to water more often. But cutting ur feed down can help solve this too. Its just slowing things down a bit by cutting feed instead of watering more often, which would make them go into super growth plants on PED's mode.

He's dialed in and he knows what he's doing.

I know he knows whats up. I was pointing out what can make the plants do this, cause if they are drying out too much he could be watering more often and getting better results, rather than cutting the feed and slowing them down. But that's his choice on what he wants, I was just trying to show another option to increase growth potential. If he wants to do it by cutting feed that's an alternative too. Its all in what u want.

Just for clarification..what makes sense to me is up the feed and feed less or drop the feed and feed more often.
their not to dry.
im strictly just reading my plants and kinda journaling whats going on as others might could benefit.
Nothing beats reading what your plants tell u..but I was trying what h3ad suggested. Its actually been a great base but a little to strong so im cool with 1.2.
id like to think my .1 from ro water isnt pushing something over its limit cuz .1 is pretty fing clean. Its all good ..im topping out at 3/4 strength. The outdoor mk under this hot as sun took 6\9 but barely and to be honest it looked happier on 4.5/7. I like happy plants now..no longer trying to squeeze an extra 1/8 out of it alwith the risk of melting em.
I think these master larrys are getting bad so out the go pretty soon but ill c if I can still finish them. Gonna flush all with 4.5/7 tonite.
well c.

Could AN actually b right that ther chellates are actually better than GH so u dont have to use as much. Im no nutrient fan boy so no need to commence flaming... im jus sayin :)

Heck idk, weed1, I do know that ive tried a lot of different nute lines and additives. And I simply love the fact that all I have to do is add two base nutes for all plant life cycle and end up with excellent product and in the top 5 or 10% of the highest yields ive seen around the forums.

And on top of that it makes it much easier to diagnose things.

U aren't using much nutrient now with ur formula, so I cant see how AN would be able to be used at even lower dosages. Ive read about their multiple chelates making elements more available, im just not buying that it makes a difference. I used their connosuir line and wasn't impressed. Not that its bad, just that it didn't offer anything more.

Only AN product I use is their PH down. They sure don't lie when they say you only need to use drops instead of MLs. Powerful stuff, I sure like not having to add LOTS like with other brands.

I think in flowering im seeing a tuch of ca deff on some in flower but only on a leaf or 2. I think my cheese is showing p overdose on 6/9 which I believ is leading to mag lock out. I see n overdose too dark green near black with claws starting= od
Just what I think.
All are getting 4.5/7 from now on and ill lower ph to 5.6 to get some ca if needed. I want to use 6/9 sooooo bad for some reason but the EARTH is just not allowing it to happen :)
