so this is where it all began.. i had 8 seeds originally from ordering a 5 pack( extra 3 seeds much appreciated) i grew one a while back as a house plant that i eventually collected pollen from.
picture.php

they got soaked earlier this year and were planted on jan 31st which was the super blue blood moon.

a week or two after germinating

dont recall which is which here but they are ot 1 and ot2. they both looked pretty identical and a bit different from the others ot 1 would go on to be my better looking stud and ot2 would be the one plant from seed i kept and what i considered to be the best representation as to what i think old timers haze would look like
picture.php

up next are ot3 and ot4, i feel like these two both looked similar and unlike the first two.. a bit broader leaves but really healthy and robust plants. ot4 would go on to be the other male of the group. not quite as studly as ot1 but was still used for the purpose of preservation.

next up is ot5 and this was my favorite plant from right out the gate. just the way its leaves looked and the overall structure of it made it stand out to me.
picture.php

then last but not least were ot6(on the right) which was the most indica looking of the bunch and ot7 which i refered to as the runt since it was the last one to pop and seemed to veg much slower than the rest.

these next few pics is just a leaf comparison to show the differences between the group. first up is a leaf from ot2 right after they were topped

next up just a few shots of each plant to show off their structure.. i didnt grow these really big so they possibly could have changed as they got more mature.
ot1

ot2

ot3

ot4 was probably the most compact out of the group, but a close tie with ot6 the more indica looking one

heres another shot of ot5 a little bit later.. such a beaut.

once the gang got decent sized branches i took cuttings to root and flower out for seed production as i knew from reading this thread a few times that this would be the best and most manageable way to go about things. especially with my limited space under the t5 and all the cacti too. so once i was positive i had a solid set of clones the seed plants were scrapped and i chose just one to hang on to for flower production. at this point when the cuttings rooted i was at about or a little over 2 months of vegging and i still didnt have a good idea on the sex of everything but i was pretty positive ot5 was a male so i ended up scrapping the big one and kept ot2 as i was pretty sure she would be a lady. i would soon find out i was wrong but im happy with the one i selected for a lil smoke stash. heres a shot of the cuttings as they were just growing their first roots.

Holy shit those are some wide blade leaves ! The one I grew had needle thin leaves right off the rip. Your plants look super healthy btw. I'll be watching to see how they do. Excellent man !

from the little cell packs they were put into tiny cups and flowering began around the beginning of april i didnt go to 12/12 like what was recommended and the reason for this was that the plants were vegged on a 14/10 cycle and i did this because i cant really afford to veg on an 18/6 cycle so i figured dropping to 12/12 might not be a big enough change to trigger flowering so i dropped it to 10/14. this i believe to be the reason my plants matured faster than they normally would and as it was mentioned earlier in the thread the quick drop in daylight hours caused these babies to stretch a bunch about 4 times their current height or maybe even a bit more.
i really hate playing favorites but here is the cutting of ot5 days into flowering

and then my other favorite of the group ot2

thanks double trip! from here on out my pictures got more scarce and ill try to keep them in a proper progression but im having a hard time remembering everything as far as dates go. heres a few pics of ot2, the plant from seed to show a bit of the stretch on her
picture.php

a bit later
picture.php

and a bit more later.. shortly after this pic the forming flowers got to be too heavy for the branches and then she started flopping all over the place and needed some staking. out of the 7 plants she was the only one that struggled to stand and her clone had the exact same problem.

up next i have a shot or two to demonstrate the stretch on the group of clones i had for seed production. the two in the back and also the tallest from left to right is ot2 and ot1. the middle row is ot7 and ot5 and then in the front is ot3, 6, and 4 but looking at those ones im not sure about their order.
picture.php

this pic here is about 3 weeks into flower maybe 4 or somewhere inbetween, at this point ot1 and ot4 were removed so i could hand collect pollen for pollination from tallest to shortest here is ot2, ot7, ot3, ot5, and then ot6

hey willydread thanks for the kind words.i ordered my seeds directly from ace, i use to order from a seedbank where you can order as many seeds as you like but if i ordered 5 oldtimers haze through them it would have cost me way more than it would to directly order from ace. i too have also grown the purple haze x thai a year or so ago and i had 2 plants both demonstrated much thinner leaf blades, i could be wrong but i think it comes from the thai side of things. they went about 16 weeks from clone. sadly neither had any purple to them but they both had that blackberry liquor, earthy, woody smell and taste to them. they were also a pleasure to grow and smoke. heres a pic of one of them in veg with those slender blades

then another shot in flower

a shot of ot2 in early flower maybe 3 weeks??
picture.php

and one of number 5
picture.php

i sadly didnt take too many pictures of the studs but i do have a shot of ot1's top to show off his flower cluster. ot4 had similar clusters but not as abundant, neither had any purple on them either.
picture.php

cut the tops on both studs and put them in cups of water to collect pollen and also free up a little room.

at around the 4th week plants were hand pollinated with the pollen from ot1 and ot4. i also had a little bit of pollen left over from a fruity pebbles og f3 (thanks baked beanz wherever you are!) and with how in love i was with ot5 and ot2 they both recieved some of this pollen as well. heres a pic of ot7?? a week or two after pollination
picture.php

then just some pics of the unpollinated ot2 not sure about dates

as the weeks went by ot5 really keeps impressing me as a plant thats different from the bunch. the bud formation on it is totally different from the rest. doesnt seem like a typical sativa bud formation. more indica like with tight little rock hard looking nugs instead of more wispy long growing buds. it really packed on the frost too the first shot is kind of bad but should give the idea of the structure im talking about. has anyone else found an ot haze like this??
picture.php

the only other plant that came close to the frost of this one was ot2 its a close call but i think ot5 takes it. got a mature seed or two im there as well
picture.php

and another of ot5
picture.php

also a shot of ot2 with its stake to keep it up, used a orchid stake and it worked perfectly

hate to say it but these next couple of shots got uploaded sideways, sorry to make you guys turn your heads a bit to view these but i dont know how to get them to rotate on here so they sit right. these next 2 are of ot2 right before she came down but these are just here to give you an idea of how big of a mess she looked before she came down
picture.php

then with the stakes down and the fans removed
picture.php

and then some shots of her clone

then some last quick shots of ot3, 7, and 6 dont know why they got uploaded sideways so once again sorry guys. ot3 as far as looks was the most green out of the ladies, the leaves never really turned but the buds got a bit of purple to them. ot3 also had the smallest buds of the group and was the least impressive.. maybe it can redeem itself when it comes time for a smoke report.
ot3
picture.php

picture.php

ot7 reminds me of ot3 except it purpled up a bit more and had slightly bigger buds than ot3. i feel like 3,7,2 were all closely together in looks earlier in life but number 2 blew them both out of water in the categories of looks/colors, bud size, and resin coverage.
ot7
picture.php

picture.php

ot6 comes in 3rd place as far as looks go. it was probably the most purple looking plant of the bunch from early on. the way i would describe the color purple of this plant was like a deep chrome purple and had fairly decent flower production. my pictures just dont do it justice at all. also around this last week here it started pumping out a lot of new pistils as if it wanted to keep wanted to keep chugging along.

as you guys might have noticed to my plants have a lot of what looks like nute burn? this started to happen in the last few weeks as i had transplanted the clones into bigger cups to help aid in seed production but instead of the 5050 mix of ocean forest mix, and light warrior i used light warrior and bumber crop cause i ran out of ocean forest. i feel like this mix was too hot for them. also like i stated earlier that through the whole grow i only gave my plants tap water and didnt fertilize them at all. ot5 i left unchopped and will let it go one more week as it seemed to have the least developed seeds as i was plucking a few out of it. ill provide pics of it and updates of everything else as it comes
