Do you not know what this thread was about?

A safe will not keep the cops away. Will they just turn around and say... "Damn, it's locked! I guess we'll never know what's inside!" Also consider inflation... Also consider the fact that if your place ever got broken into, that's the #1 easy target, bolted down or not.

Kinda like your signature... if you ever got busted and these posts were being used as evidence, do you really think your little signature will nullify any posts?

Morning everyone, been watching and reading for sometime now. Glad to see all the good info and sharing. My reason for a off shore account isn't one of really hiding cash. My reason for a offshore account. Is to save as much cash as possible from when i make the jump from USD to Euro dollars, but it's looking like the Euro is getting close to the USA. I'm looking to move to the UN and trying to save as much money in the tranfer of funds, but there have been a few option posted and i'm looking into them.

If you got cash to hide. My oping and if your wanted to use a bank. Find a local bank that has large branches. My deposit's at different branch's in smaller amounts and spread it out. Open a business account and just pay taxes on the funds. That's just a way to keep a low profile. Yeserday I was at a bank i personally have a business account with. I'm in line, because everyone is there after the holiday and the guy in front of me has a bag in his hand. Just looked like a wal-mart plastic bag and i didn't think anything of it. Well, this guy runs a local store or something and deposited roughly what look to me about 10-20K in 5K bundles. Girl at the counter didn't think anything of it. Just dropped each bundle in the counting machine and made the deposit and told him to have a super day.
Take care,
BG

I hope you're not serious. No offense, but sounds like half the advice given here are by 14 year olds with no understanding of how anything works.

Yeah, the more I read through this thread, the more it seems that setting up a business account and filing a quarterly tax return would be the prudent way to go.

NYG, good advice on calling the bank in advance to see what's required. Also good advice on the incorporation aspect. Depending on where you are, it's not that hard to incorporate your own business: Nolo Press publishes do-it-yourself legal guides, including one on the different kinds of corporations and how to set them up. "How to Form Your Own California Corporation" has detailed descriptions about the different kinds of corporations, step-by-step instructions on incorporating, and all the necessary forms. Really good stuff. Here's a link to the book:

just get good friend or family member to open an account with an atm card. they give you the card and pin and deposit in multiples of 400 to 500 dollars. problem solved. its only small amounts and will be safe.

seems like some have mis-perceived the problem at hand - hiding money from the police, no. conceal the proceeds of illegal activity, yes.

the heart of the problem is you are earning more money than your payslip accounts for. holding it as cash is risky and the money is losing value the longer you hold it. on the other hand if you report it as income you get burnt for income tax.

money is a fascinating topic. it grows on trees!! :)

In 1970 you could buy a $40,000 house for 1,000 gold coins. Today for those same 1,000 gold coins you can buy a $400,000 dollar house. All fiat currency will collapse eventually. Its enivatable. Over the last 5 years the dollar has plunged, durring those same years gold has gained near 20% on increase in value. Thats real inflation. They are already openly talking about the housing market slowing down. Go watch Freedom to Facism by Aaron Russo, its a good documentary about how the federal reserve is one big racketeer ring. The Federal Reserve is not federal, and has no reserves.

silver is something to invest in< although it is a pain in the butt to store if you are talking large amounts> silver is used up in industry more and more with technology advancing> in contrast all the gold ever mind on earth is still on earth> in my personal opinion siver is the way to go>

if one wanted to say take 50k of cash and clean it so to say couldnt you put it into real estate with a OWC(owner will carry mortgage) and just make payments to him in cash? what do you think about this? I know this dosent matter to someone with only 3k, but since some of you are discussing putting away large amounts of money this is relevant. :joint:

NY General, it appears you have a lot to say. it may even be good advice.

But could you PLEASE do a better job of forming complete, coherent sentences?!?

You are giving me a headache trying...to...piece...together...you...cryptic...and...non-linear...statements!

In any event, be careful setting up a business to launder money. That definitely sets you up for even bigger charges, such as racketeering under RICO, and maintaining a criminal enterprise, which could potentially bring on a life sentence.

How come no one mentioned diamonds?

You can stick $1,000,000 worth of diamonds under your ball sack.

You can mail them all over the world.
