How big is your Dehum?
I have two 25 Liters ,for a 25 x 8 ft room, that are very efficients but its still a wetland here....
Sealed rooms with Leds and Co2 can get a little wetter doh....
Room is 6 lights 15x20 feet 10 foot ceilings. I run a Quest dual 110 but I have to add a typical 90 homeowner if I get behind on defoliation!

I run 82–84f and run the rh around 70 for the first 6 weeks.

Sturgeon G.......Are you runnin on a timed drip or is that constant top fed recirculating ?.....I ran ebb and flow 5 gal buckets full of lava rocks for a dozen yrs thereabouts and they were timed feeds 3 times a day , but fed from beneath thus the "ebb and flow" setup most often called "flood and drain".....that said....

I`d appreciate you lettin us know how your setup works cuz I think it`s cool.....I always did say before I retired that the most optimum way to run coco would be flood and drain from beneath while usin top fed open ended driptubing once or twice a week to feed from the top down to insure no residual salt buildup in the upper medium that was above flood level from beneath.....but then.......

I started runnin DTW cuz I`m cheap and never looked back cuz it`s babyshit easy to set it and forget it.....worst case scenario....somethin goes sideways , flush it out with 1/2 strength nutrients and move on toward harvey.....anyways.....thanks for sharin....

Peace.....DHF.....

So df I used to run a recirculating top feed years ago but sometimes I wouldn't get water evenly to plants due to manifold pressure issues. Now by going ebb and flow everything gets watered evenly and 1x per day I top feed for salt buildup. Still running my tried and true pure blend. Was running athena for a little bit but it just wasn't the same kind of quality for me. My room with the bucket cos is dtw on timed drips 400ml 3x a day. Usually 10 plants fill it up but i didn't give them the veg time I normally would so these went in kinda small. Usually they go in around 18 20 inches and fill up the room. Here's a quick photo dump of my usual room situation

Looks great bud. I always have the opposite problem. I veg too long and end up fighting the plants to keep them from going through the ceiling.

Pure Blend is expensive but it’s soooo easy!

COCO DTW is seriously easy if you follow a few rules.

#1 being make damn sure you get 20% runoff on the last watering of the light/day cycle as well as at least a little runoff on the first watering. Every additional watering in between first and last is trying to feed the ladies a little more but the dry back is most important.

I typically only end up at 6 waterings per day but I know I did something right when I get to water 8+ times per day!

Peace

hey GFR.....I visited that website when it first came online and there were too many conflicting methods and explanations on how to find the holy grail so I didn`t keep up with it.....but....as with any site that evolves with knowledge , this can only be a good thing so as I`ve always said.....

Knowledge is power and either adapt or perish......Hell.....I guess there`s a place for folks to sell their experience and make money for it , but I always enjoyed helpin without askin anything in return....you know ....that karma kinda thang......but again.....

I got everything I need and nuthin that I don`t.....and lastly.....Ya`ll make an old man proud....especially LJ.....He`s 1 of the few that actually get this shit.....Good growin guys and.....

I had the chance to start to build a new grow a few years ago search for a 'Beaster' with mixed spectrum lighting (LED x HPS) automated fertigation and to try give me more complete 'vertizontal' environmental control.

LED has many growth stimulating benefit enhancing plant physiology/ phenotypic plasticity if used in a number of critical ways, it provides security benefits heat signature and it's just 'one more' thing I'd rather be looking at than looking for it in life.

I have discovered however with older genetics it's not really what I can use to get what I always got. It doesn't provide any heat,

I've made the room around 2x GT901 which serves multiple applications for me. It's big but not too big (I'm busy). I hate trimming cannabis, it's getting tedious..

The raised plants allow good airflow and access for maintenance and I can access all areas of the room with 4 plants in it.

The setup allows me to have a SOG or run larger plants.

The rooms walls floor and ceiling is completely soundproofed and insulated, plastic lined, with a raised floor, fake floor and door with horizontal lights on pulleys, a light trap upon entry and some mesh on the ceiling.

I've a reservoir/ brewing kit in the room and a waste pipe for helping with tank maintenance.

Each tank/top tray has 1x 1000w Lumatek Zeus and 2x horizontally mounted 750w HPS and I've got other other vertical 600w HPS lighting to stimulate wider/ bigger plants.

The top trays can be cut lengthways and arranged to allow a variety of access point pot-size and planting options from seed or clone.

I've been using this room to grow in pots of coir and pebbles I mix myself with a few ameliorants.

I've used the system for hand feeding DTW and recycling the tank

I feed for 30 minutes with a free flow drip feed every 2 hours.
I'd sooner have more EC delivery than a higher EC.

I leave it on whilst I'm there to do maintenance and cut the co2 to 'safe mode'

The room is designed so with 4 plants run at one time you can hit them with a max of 1250w of mix spectrum top lighting per plant and further hitting them with vertical 600w HPS side lighting which you can spread that over the whole room.

I've been using Superthrive, Canna A+B, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, Boost and a few other additives..

It works. I've not used any pH products for over a year besides how I combine the nutrients..

I've had some super high EC too, when my tanks are lowI just flood them from a Waterbut. Dump that and reset the tanks with fresh H20 Cannazym and run it for a day before adding my A+B to a desired EC add the Rhizotonic then any boost. In flower I've been adding the PK product at the recommended rate and adding the base feed till I hit my EC goal.

I figure the plants have access to so much H20 and Co2 with cooler air into the reservoir.

A few technical things I've noticed are all about the tanks. Drippers causing minor flooding EC issues, water becoming incredibly hot low oxygen (Solved)

I'm having fun being away from the grow..

I've not been able to work out and GPKWH I didn't weigh everything as I decided to make concentrate. I've got an idea of figures but cannot calculate the power usage as I flip flop as I see fit. I can calculate what the top lighting is but I don't really care much beyond helping grow the biggest plants I've grown.

It's pretty much twist and go now..

Any pictures?

GPW is new kid BS in my book?

However I am stoned as hell and didn’t understand the LED top light watts or HPS side light watts or the other HPS 600w.

If my stoner math is correct you are running 3100 watts for one tray? How big is said tray?

When running salts once the pH is set it never changes in a 100gal reservoir for me. I do run a circ pump 200gph to keep everything mixed 24/7 I also mix 50 gallons separately at a time and add to the 100 gallon feed reservoir once every 2-4 days depending on the stage the grow is in.

I circulate Si for 24 hours then add salts, fulvic, biological (Hydroguard) equivalent and the initial pH adjustment is done. Wait 2+ hours recheck pH adjust if needed typically it’s correct unless the well water has fluctuated because of a seasonal change. This also pH pen Calibration is why I discount double check the pH with 2 pens every time I mix nutrients.

OCD? Absolutely! However when running 16 plants in 1 gallon pots in a 4x4 tray (1/sqft) under a 700 watt LED in COCO DTW the biggest pitfall is pH IMO?

As long as you get runoff with every watering the plants will be happy as pigs in shit running 2ec and even better IMO 1.5ish EC and watering 4-8x per day depending on the stage the grow is in.

The dry backs are insanely important and what make the EC rise and the plants be all they can be! Then the next fertigation happens and brings the EC back in line and gives the plant a rest until the next dryback happens. If you figure how to do this correctly 6+ times per day preferably 8 or more in 1 gallon pots you will truly see and understand what is possible in COCO DTW!

RW growers can even dial this in better I am told? COCO might only perform 80-90% as well as RW however COCO DTW in 1 gallon pots increases the buffer compared to a 6x6 RW block. Which if you don’t understand gives you a lot more time to figure out what is fucked up. Bad feed res pump, malfunctioning pH or EC pen, power outage, environmental controller issues, plugged drain, and the list goes on and on!

I found this years ago and it is still 100% correct!

Below is one of the reasons I started and still run COCO DTW. The little extra buffer can save your ass and the grow! RW is too technical and labor intensive for my ole lazy ass!

Peace

COCO for cannabis is a great place for growers growing in a tent and beginners!

If a growers ability, wants, and skills get bigger than a 1 LED light tent there is very little more to learn on CUCU for cannabis IMO.

Environment becomes so much more important when trying to grow high quality flower with multiple lights.

COCO for Cannabis can help most people grow good homegrown hippie lettuce in a tent 100%! It makes it simple.

However if you are growing any larger than a 1 light tent and understand the basics there is zero advanced knowledge shared IMO.

It is an entirely different deal to grow high quality plants with multiple lights when growing with 4 or 400 lights! I am small time and only run 6 lights to help a little extra with my daughters college expenses and more so for the therapy of growing it. I’m definitely far from a master grower but I will put my flower to the PEPSI challenge with anyone. I have no problem with loosing (even though it is doubtful) because I will most likely learn and that’s what it’s all about IMO!

Sorry for the long ramble!

Peace
