Im saddened by the fact that i will not get the chance to meet Rez!!!

i had a long talk with dg last night, i understand where they are coming from, but i still believe that there will be enough people to support this cup who buy the guest passes, without taxing the growers side of this event, who enters with no agenda, only to show what he has grown. free up some passes for the brave souls who risk all.

I fully understand your point Headman but sadly there are people who would rather pay less than an entry pass for an ounce (under £100) of sub standard weed and then enter it to obtain a free pass..........therefor the poor judges end up having to sift through poor entries, as things stand a person has to be real commited to enter their own and pay for a pass. Hope ive made the point clearly, im a tad stoned.
Maybe next year (once all the $£ has been tallied up) there will be some kind of deduction in price of the entry for those who again enter the cup, even if it were a small percentage.

u have a valid point bliss. no one wants to smoke less than great weed at a tasting event. and there are those who would take advantage. there should be a way to eliminate any fraudulent entry's, no schwag accepted. gn and dg know what is real and could disqualify any that isn't. considering the value of the dollar and the price of weed in dollars, sending an oz here for 150$ just does not make sense. take a chance on losing it or just buy the pass, i am buying it.

yes thats true .. I think it would be easy to handle a quality controll / pass for all entries, or? also if I am thinking about the investment for a cup grow .. selecting the right phenos .. getting a own closed area or chamber .. actual ~800W power consumption for cfl + aircondition, e.g. total of 1,5KW, and so on ... I took my cup grow serious and put all effort and power into it to sample the best quality is poss. for Gypsy! So .. give a special gift for those of our few friends who enter her best in exchange for 90EUR entrance fee for 3 days .. Good and fair for both sides, or?

btw..You talked about the fee´s for entering at other cups. We have entered our cup grow at the upcoming Highlife 2006 event for free! O.K for sure we must rent a booth there but we pay NOTHING for entering and judging!

GN runs a business. The reason for the business is PROFIT. He also has a very large heart. He has given much to the MJ community.
If you think to exspensive, or requirements to enter CUP are too extreme, by all means DON'T enter/go. But please don't question how the man runs his business.
This event has been very successful in the past, and I am sure will be better each ensuing year. I had a great time.
I sent smokables not too enter, but for everyone to smoke. Its just a plant, you can grow more.
I say lighten up, enjoy yourself, and its meant to be a VACATION....which means relax and enjoy.

Thats not much money or margin, in relation of all benefits and earnings that comes out if it runs good next year, or?! I only think it would be a nice gift from the Organisator of the event for those who give their best!

hello Mr.Max... just wanted to say, I do understand what you are trying to say.. However I believe that there will be a lot more the 10-15 entries into the 'growers' cup...

if there was free passes for entrants ,,,anyone with a set of bubblebags could knock 7.5 gramms up of hash and get in free ,,,so all in all not a very good idea

Hi there Ms sorry I ve not seen the poll before o.k, That changes things, if really 30 or more people like to enter in the grower cat. ! We will see in the end how many samples arriving in real at the GN shop and if the quality is fine .. I think there must be someone who sort out the quality and if it is worth to enter, or not...
