You cant ground wood, water with no safety return = potentially dangerous just like exposed barbs and terminals there is a lot i want to fix still but i like itLooks cool if not a little overengineered.
Any particular reason you didn't screw those cleat sockets into a piece of wood?
ALSO, real cheap, 7 dollar 50 W full spectrum LED but it needs a US to EU converter because it's 220V driver on chip.

$6.65
if you don't have or find a good general converter/transformer this 100W one is 10 dollars (the 50w ones are cheaper but it's right at the line and so sine i don't understand the nuance there, this ones 100W)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/100W-Power-...V-240V-Up-Down-Volt-Transformer-/231169110709
$9.99
so that would be $16.64 for 50W which is pretty good.
supplementing or visa versa, with those lights and/or osram 100W(18W) 5000K could be great.
if heatsink srews are unavailable, mixing atomized copper powder with jb weld in the right ratio, like 1:1 is said to be a good LED heatsink adhesive. i did it but i didn't get the exact measurements, beause i alsorolled in some arctic silver with copper and heatsink silione adhesive which failed and gummeup on me quick, then i redisolved it in paint thiner, decanted and mixed with the jb weld and copper and just a bit of cetone to get it gummy like cake batter, and squeezed it out in lines on the heatsink and quickly (it turns out i didn't need to rush) set all the LEDs
(set off the heatsink in waiting ar the approximate spaings in rows, with the + - in the same directions)
on and left two nice big textbooks on them for 2.5 days
i am real tired and my stomachs hurting and i had too much coffee before (it usually does this to me) and i can't think straight and i am not sure how i got to posting about DIY COBs in the off the shelf forum but here it is. facepalm
Those are pretty cool with the driver built in like that. Shame it is 220V, but still pretty cool. They are technically OTS LEDs, not too far off topic IMO.
Upgraded my setup today by getting rid of the chinese ufo in the top vegging section as its coverage was very poor. Replaced it with another rack of 8.5w 806 lumen led bulbs, using 12 this time for a nice even spread and a total wattage of 102w or 24w square foot.
I will maybe add a small seedling section in some of the empty space on the filter side of my growdrobe with a single bulb in it to keep electricity costs down for the first 3 weeks or so before putting them in the veg section.
Some pics are below, the bottom section has some plants which have just hit week 6 flower and have 3 or 4 weeks left. Maybe a little longer for the one on the right is it started flowering quite a bit later than the other two.View Image View Image View Image View Image
