Acapulco Gold from Barneys on the right, and Arjans Ultra Haze #2 on the left. Both with some spontaneous air roots. Lights used are 7x11watts 3000K. Now at 8 weeks from sprout, and 3 weeks from flip to 12/12. Area is 2.5 sqft, total height 3ft.

The "spacebucket" community swears by those as side lighting. I wouldn't bother personally.

A pack of 750 lumen 60 watt equivalent bulbs is around ~$10 at lowes.

A handful of cleat based sockets are $1 each on 1000sofbulbs and wire is dirt cheap.

When you have more money upgrade to the 14 watt 1500 lumen bulbs.

Lose a lot a space with the bigger bulbs/sockets though

The tent is showing no signs of un happy plants due to the supplemental lighting. Next round i am adding two more hundred watt ghetto strips and removing the 315. for a 12/12 run.

Sorry double post

So i ran these babies through the spectrometer and as expected they dont match up to the product description, theres basically no 380nm UV and not a hint of 650-660nm red, there should be more red then blue but it look like the opposite is true here, which is strange since there are more red diodes on the board then blue, they must be very inefficient to have such a low output compared to the blue, this graph is for the "45w" bulb, the other two were the same but with even less violet.

Since not a lot of folks have a spectrometer, or even access to one, thanks for testing these... I just got 4x 18Wers, lol! They are cute! I wanted to supplement a 315W LEC with a little more red, but it seems not with these, lol!

So what are the best bulbs you've tested so far, either for veg or flower?

I need to replace my crappy LED lights... but sifting through 122 PAGES of this thread is daunting, to say the least.

So... what are the best affordable screw-in LED's??? I need to order them ASAP!!!

All are good, but better to take 10+ watters, it's just the question of Quality, because when you pop up that plastic covering you have no more warranty, I have Philips and no names, those no names are crappy in term of quality, from 10 pieces 2 fuked up, and Philips are all shining :)

They sell them at home depot and lowes if you do not want to pay shipping.

$48/8 bulbs = $6 a bulb 1500 lumens per watt

or
$10/6 = $1.70 each 750 lumes per watt

Okay, thanks. I thought people were buying the 100w equivalent for $2 each so I passed on the Walmart Great Value brand at $6 each but they're 5000K, not 6500K. Are those any good? I can buy Great Value brand at my local WM but must drive a 2 hour round trip to buy at Lowes or Home Depot... or order online.

i have interest in this, economy you know
i've been test driving a GV 9 watt with regular lighting use
it's bright, it's been working for a month
it's a 60 watt equivalent, but seems to compare quite favorably to the 100 watt equivalent cfls
