Yes, Sam, it's very cool to do this.

Using this for the tub/box:
HDX 55 Gal. Storage Tote in Black HDX55GONLINE(4) at The Home Depot - Mobile

14" +/-(at most narrow, actual bottom) x 17.5" +/- (at most shallow portion of depth) x 32" +/- (artificial flat bottom, to touching bottom of lowest center hanging light. 1.75ish sq feet.

Box is hanging from the wall, bottom to the wall.

Isn't this an incredibly high lightpressure per square ft? I'm at 77watts on 2.5 sqft and the plants are loving it..

any one using these lights for vegging? And also are they to strong to start seeds under? And if they are when is it ok to put the seedlings under them and at what distance? Thanks

Put them right under from day 0, at 10 inches or so. My newly sprouted seedlings never showed signs of disliking strong HPS or LED light.

Mine were vegged under a mix of 5000k and 2700k.

Did you start the seeds with them and if so at what distance? because right now I have 2 seedlings under them 1 is ok but one seems like it doesn't like it. I currently have 7 of the 5000k 8 watters for a total of 56 watts and the seedlings are over a foot away. Any suggestions. And also they are in pure coco and only getting PHed ro water at the moment. Here are some pics. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hello there!

At first - blynx, really great job! congrats

second one, I have a quick question.
This time o want to try LED grow, usually I use my hps 150W.

I (almost) build box 28cm x 36cm (0.093 square meters)

Put there 8x LED 10w 3000k 806lm 150°
The question is whether can I use this bulbs for the entire grow? Veg/Flo.

I heard different versions about it in my country.
I must admit, I would rather want have a bulb, whom I will not have to to exchange.

Greeting and best regards.

Light is too high I think, it seems to me that it's much more than over a foot distance, it would be better to let just 5 bulbs do they work in this early stage and put them at about 30-40cm, gradually decrease distance and increase light. What's your humidity? In early stage the plants need more humidity, and those 3 fans if all are working is overkill for this stage, because they make the closet dry if your room humidity is low

@Gardenic
Off course you can use them bulbs the whole grow :)

Thanks for Your response.
Im case when i use only 3000k, should i expect the big difference in the final result? With hps everything is easy, just on/off and let them grow;p

Thanks I will give that a try.

Check the humidity, and anyway put in towels in some water filled plastic containers :) or even a humidifier :D

@Gardenic
Difference should be small if any, and it's also easy as HPS, even easier because of less heat :)
