I had a couple of friends who listened to classical more than rock/country from the ages of 13-18 I listened to lots of classical. I was just saying to the Mrs yesterday I should start listening to more classical. I do not like opera, that's a large NOT

I still listen to classic rock and outlaw country every day down stairs while working on the grow. Gets my heart to pumping.

I loved to watch the series "Victory At Sea" with the deep-voiced Leonard Graves narrating. My Unca Harry (yeah, him) gave me an LP of the Richard Rogers score for my 12th birthday.

I listened to it endless times. I can still play it in my head.

34 years of listening to classic rock all day 5 days a week on construction sites kind of burned me out on the whole genre.

I like what I like, regardless of genre. I don't need music to wind me up, I use it to wind me down, as in "Music to sooth the savage beast".

What I really miss is soothing music that I can understand the lyrics to, if there are any.

I am most offended by that I can understand is gagsta rap and don't see it as music.

Presbycusis (old age) an industry related hearing losses have taken away my ability to discriminate the finner nuisances, so I don't appreciate or listen to music as often as I used to.

It just riles me to no end that a politician can collect a life long pension after 6 years. If they happen to work as a minister of a gov't dept they get a pension for that as well.
