I agree, that plant is growing well and looks perfectly healthy, so that wierd structure must be genetic. I agree that some Thais grow like this too, but its not so pronounced.

I've grown a couple of Mexican bagseed lines and a couple of heirlooms and never seen this trait before in a Mexican, I'm fascinated and can't wait to see how she flowers.

 it is a funky plant for sure

Only my old seeds have mutants like that, especially sativas, could be that or just a freak but thats very usual mutation, had one Neville's Haze pretty much like that.

Screwy ph can cause plants to grow like that, seen plenty of pics of plants with similar curled/twisted leaves, but never to this extent. Like I said, this is gonna be one interesting plant to watch develop.

Yeah dL, that plant looks special...i cant wait to watch it mature. :lurk:

^^We've had the same thing with A11, bagseed and the Floater green pheno from two different pips(same leaf thickness, just way more of them..real ugly.)..its a mutation guys lol. Like the man say, sick plants soon die. :D

Jah bless.. :rasta:

Wow that is one crazy plant, and this appears like it will be one wild grow show till the end. Been watching this one and will continue to watch, keep posting those pictures Docleaf, you've got an audience.

I have some Oaxacan 1978 seeds I'm planning on doing outdoor with next year.

This leaf has nothing on yours, but I noticed how thin it was after reading this thread last night. Is this thinness usual for NYCD's?

I have had a couple similar looking plants from crosses I made with Reefs blue sats. The one that looked like that one died, this one was stronger. I had this in bloom for 5-6 weeks, after 13 or more in veg, and it showed no sign of flowering. I culled it because I was shutting the room in less than a month and it would not have any chance to flower. I agree it is a way cool mutation, and I hope to bring the next one I get to bloom. This was Blue Nepalese x G13xBlue Sativa.

This trait seems to pop up in some Se Asian lines, Blueberry, expecially the sat side of the family can also exhibit this twisting/mutating trait.

i believe the oaxacan was the core of djs projects (there was a diagram showing all of the crosses, etc in one of the threads in his forum)... thats why a lot of his stuff has these "mutants" & most of the time they turn out to be very special

afropips used to always give him shit about those mutations but its just a trait of this line

keep it and clone it
if we are ever nuked me thinks that plant might survive, like cockroaches, and be our only way to grow weed! hehe
