1: VISUAL:
First glance Bag appeal: 8
Visible trichcomes: 8
Colors present: 1-10
Reds: 9 Lotsa red, red, red hairs! I love redheads!!!
Greens: 2
Purples: 4 Deep, dark hues.
yellows: 1
Others: a bit of orange, and generally darker earth tones
Bud Density: 9
2: SMELL:
first word that comes to mind when you first smell the bud? berries

Strong, or weak smell: 8- Pretty much wreaks.

I just broke off a small bowl-sized piece from the bottom of the nug. Gonna roll a j with the rest

Rate and explain The Smells when you are breaking it up: 9. Imagine making a ripe multi-berry paste in your blender, and then making incense and hash with that aroma. Extremely pleasant, sweet/hashy/headshop/berry aroma with the berry component being the strongest. Smells really REALLY good.

3: TASTE:
First hit comments: There is definitely a sweet, fruity flavor with a hint of earthiness to it. I wouldn’t say the flavor is as strong as or translates to the aroma.
Taste: 7
Does it burn well? 10 Burned perfectly in the bowl
Is it Smooth 6 I wouldn’t exactly call it harsh. It’s not smooth, but it definitely did NOT burn my throat or make me cough. I think a really good connoisseur cure would remedy this in the smoothness department, as well as develop more of the flavor components. At least that’s my theory, as a good cure always does wonders for some of my lesser-uniquely flavored strains that I’ve grown.
Lung expansion with a good hit? 7 Definitely felt a kick in the chest.

4: EFFECT: What are you feeling?

OK. I hit a small bowl and before I put the thing down, I could already feel it coming on. Started with that familiar kick and then buzz in the chest, which radiated outwards in my upper body within minutes. This is quite a good, relaxing body buzz. I had lifted earlier in the day and blasted my shoulders, traps, and tris, getting very tight and a good bit sore. After the hit started to really settle, prolly about 15 minutes, I was sooo relaxed, could stretch out comfortably, and then eventually became a couch fixture. Very relaxing!
Head high? 8 Not like a sativa, very relaxing. Gave a pleasant, light, easy-headed feeling followed by slightly wandering thoughts.
Body high? 9 I would definitely call this destination weed- prearrange transportation, or stay wherever you’re smoking, cuz you won’t be driving anywhere!
Potency: 8 Granted, I only smoked a small bowl, but that’s my normal amount unless there’s some raging function. I smoke for creativity and to relax, not for medical needs or to be completely zonked. So off my normal dosage, I’d say pretty potent.
Hit you fast? Or creeper weed? NEARLY INSTANTANEOUS!!!
Would this be best as a morning/afternoon/night smoke? Definitely end-of-day smoke for me. So relaxing!

How high are you? 8
How long did the high last? The hardcore build-up and ride of the high lasted a good 45 minutes for me, with a nice coast about the same amount of time. Overall about a good hour and a half. If I had smoked more, I expect the results would only be intensified. I really wanted to make an honest comparison to how I normally smoke, which is just a hit or 2 at a time. Occasionally I go all out, but not very often at all.

All testers are also growers, so:
Is this a strain you would want to grow? Totally an 11 here! I would LOVE to relieve you of this strain if you're inclined to drop her from your stable!

Final comments: I definitely considered this a treat! My main smokes are hybrids that lean a little more towards the sat side. This was a very pleasant indi smoke that probably would have knocked me out if I smoked even half a j myself. I’ve recovered from a leg injury and started a strenuous workout program recently, and I would definitely add this strain to the night time routine, as my body was totally relaxed and I felt completely at ease. No jitters, no munchies, no Kottonmouth from this tester. Woke up this morning feeling well-rested and fresh, ready to go.


Final opinion of this Pheno of Purple Urkle?: I’ll give this an 8.5 overall, and would definitely add it to my stable.


NZjay- Thanks for giving me the opportunity to try this out! I've got a peeny-sized nug for today's post-workout bowl, and I'm gonna share the rest in a decent-sized j with my 2 bandmates later this weekend. Finally, the weekend is here, and Khaleel is eagerly awaiting his first-of-the-morning smoke (brought to you by NZJay and Purple Urkel lol).



The setting: 10:03am. I just got home from my girlfriend's place, after making sweet, sweet love to her sexy body; it's raining outside to where it feels like i'm back in amsterdam; my cats are jamming to the jazz station on the radio; and I am in a great fucking mood. A lazy Saturday morning that's somehow still full of life.

Here we go. all ratings 1-10, 1 being shit, 10 being snoopalicious.

1: VISUAL:


First glance Bag appeal: it's an 8 for me, probably a 9 for most people. dark greens with just a hint of brown, very red hairs. Definitely would get no one holding back because of how it looks. Might not look like a crystally-covered silver haze nug, but it looks great nonetheless. this subtle beauty even works in the bud's favor - striking up a bit of curiousity - i see this bud, and i like what i see, but now i must know more...



Visible trichcomes: 8.5 the trichs are visible (but elusive) at first glance; holding it under the light for closer inspection reveals a bud glistening like a bedazzled jean-jacket, circa 1987. nice.

after cutting it in half...

i agree jay. more purples in the middle of the bud. though not as purple as the regular, for sure. maybe like Barney's lighter skinned cousin purple.

Bud Density: looks pretty good. smoked a small taste yesterday morning before work, and there is still plenty for a joint or two. that's a 8.5 on density.

Rate and explain The Smells:

mmm, after grinding and burying my nose in her like a dirty old man, i am reminded of a small-town flower shop. definitely some rose hues in there. the berry is strong as well, though i'm thinking more herbal tea berry than straw/blue/rasp-berry. a hint of musk, like that hippie girl you took home, well-groomed as far as hippies go, yet in a subtle way - unclean. i give her a 9 for sure. there's a very identifiable smell to good chronic bud, and i know if i showed this to my friends they would all agree she's got it. i love it.

First hit comments: ahhh. very niiiice, man. i rolled a king-sized rizzla, and i am now hitting it crazily.



Does it burn well? 10 liike a rock star. a little run in the paper but not cause of the weed.

Is it Smooth? 8 i like the flavor, i can definitely taste the incense - also in a good way. maybe a hint of jasmine?

Lung expansion with a good hit? 9 a unique pull for me. the inhale felt hot, but meaty... like smoking dried papaya, while taking a victory lap.

3: STONE:
Wow. Feeling the gradual head-expansion as we speak. a light pressure in the exact middle of my dome, slowly pushing out on all sides, my eyes, my neck, the top of my head, my ears, my temples... a silly rocking back-and-forth is going on in my central nervous system right now.

*my friend stops by. it's been about ten minutes since i typed the above. my eyes have shut, they are absurdly red. the kind of red that would scare small children and the faint of heart. my buddy and i are talking about something while he helps me with the end of the joint, but all i can hear are raindrops smashing windowpanes dancing like foggy lightning. fuck yeah, my friend. it's a nice buzz

Head high? 8 started off killer then eased off a bit quicker than i expected... ...relaxing buzz, had a pretty easy time socializing (lol weed), even though my words looked purple throughout our entire conversation. ?

Body high? 6.5 feeling waaay more in my head than in my joints. as a med patient, i would take this weed in a heartbeat when a great head change is in order (or wake and bake cause i wanna trip ), but for muscle and joint pain it's not much relief.

Potency: 9 no shit. that first head trip was fucking stellar. faded quickly into a nice great overall buzz.

Hit you fast? Or creeper weed?: like a mac track! i didn't have time to exhale twice before i was feelin all warm and fuzzy inside.

Would this be best as a morning/afternoon/night smoke?: wake and bake, or after work. head-change smoke. (was a little difficult when i first walked in the office yesterday morning after trying a sample one-hitter. kind of stared at the computer for while. hehe)


How high are you? 1-10 right now i'm at a solid 7, down from a 9.

How long did the high last?: feels like it will hold on for a while then fade away. though i do see enough joint droppings for a decent bowl. hmm...


All testers are also growers, so:
Is this a strain you would want to grow? if she produces well and is ready in 9 weeks, hell yeah. i like the heady smoke that hits fast and lingers nicely.

im not looking for average smoke. im looking for high quality keepers.
Final opinion of this Pheno of Purple Urkle?: 9 this is definitely smoke that no one will ever turn down, and many will clamber after. as for individual consumption, when this is the type of buzz i'm after, this pheno is perfect. i could play a round of golf right now, shoot some pool, hang out with the lady, or watch tv. a great all-around feeling.
