Did anyone have any more thoughts on whether or not Canna were diluting their A+B? Anyone with an EC pen check it out?

Don't know if I have old stock but I bought my most recent lot about 6 months ago, my Canna feed guide (created using their calculator in 2009) still seems acurate in terms of expected EC by dose (although it's a bit high all over imho) in other words, I'm not seeing any difference in EC...

Could there be other reasons for it not performing as well as it has in the past? Basic mineral profile any different?

Does anyone know anything about this Samurai stuff Growell is hawking? It's the 9/18 boost that I'm looking at, being like old hammerhead and old Buddy. Have Growell knocked off someone else's product again?

grow medium recir DWC top feed water farm rings using hydroton and lava rock.

Ran Ionic veg, bloom and boost for several years with no deff and outstanding yield. Very stable pH and easy to use but liquid can be a little bit of a hassle to measure. all in all no complaints.

Changed over around 06 to KISS method using GH dry goods. same as above easy to use, decent yield and good growth. lacked the smell and taste of the ionic with out the additives. got to be a hassle to add sweeteners, silica and so on. Advantages easy to measure and cheap initially but got more expensive as you added amendments to regain smell and flavor.

Changed last year to veg + Bloom, with life and size.
Same thing good growth, no deff easy to work with, very stable pH better than KISS only amendments are powder as well. Better smell and taste than GH with out the hassle of liquid amendments. Run this straight by there feeding schedule works pretty good. Only draw back is with the life which can cause issues in high concentrations. the size amendment is a must for super size buds and to put the smell and taste back in your hydro.

As you can tell I like using powder better than liquid. for me its easier to measure, cleaner and has an indefinite shelf life.

All of these products have worked well for me and I would use any of them again if I had to.

For simplicity I like the veg+bloom.

yeah it's 0.2 higher all round for me..and even as much as 0.4 in the first 3 weeks... but I'm still curious to know if it's the same strength as it was previously..

I do actually have a couple that are almost as hungry as this, but in reality they never get more than 1.7 even during PK boost..

the other thing worth a mention is that the chart is specific to my tap water as it asked for the pH and EC from tap before making the chart... My tap water has a starting EC of 0.6.. and a pH of 8.1 ... it's harder than Mad Frankie ;)

Can anyone recommend a good root stim I normally use H&G root excelerator but have been put off with rumours of a changed formula. I know they can from a silver bottle to a gold one and at the same time changed formula. But because of complaints there doing both bottles now. Not sure what the difference is? Anyway it's put me off.
I've been recommended botanicare rhizoblast but it's so new not much info online it.

If they haven't changed the formula for roots excelerator like you said then they will definitely change the formula now they have moved their operation to the usa.

One way to find out is when it us available again to buy will they be selling it in the u.s? Before they moved their operation the roots excelerator wasnt for sale in north america.

Peace.

The newer gold can had some elements of organic compounds in there. People complained as it wasn't as good, so they brought back the silver can. But from what I under stand House and Garden no longer retail in the UK?

Harry, sounds like the plant magic platinum. Check greens

Oh was there a decision on bio bizz bloom for soil or plant magics old timers?

Emailed H&G about it, and they said due to relocating to the US, there would be a period of no nutes being available in UK. They said they expected supplies to return to normal in September-October.

Asked someone in growhell last week, and they said the same thing too..

fingers crossed H&G returns sooner rather than later.

Not about nutrients and additives as such but about ph down. I've only ever used the same one, Canna Grow - nitric acid - for years. I made a few bad fuck ups early on using the bloom specific - phosphoric one so just stuck with the grow.
So I'm wondering should I use the phosphoric/bloom ph down in 12/12? Will it make a significant difference to the end results?

And while I'm on about it, Canna have this 'organic', citric acid which, so far as I can tell, is for both grow and bloom. Anyone used this?

I've only run with Canna Coco a&b for ten years and can't say I've noticed a change in them. That said, I've always found their feed guide way too hot whatever I've grown.

Harry, why not just get some citric acid,it can be found at most indian food stores for a fraction of the cost of the bottled stuff.
I've used it for years as ph down.It also helps with the up-take of p/keeps p from binding with other elements and becoming un-available

Hey Harry! Yea man I use it when growing organic or if I'm using mycorrhiza in coco, but it takes 8ml to bring 20ltr of tap water to 5.8ph
It maybe cheaper chattin up ya local junkie for some cit.. Just say no if he breaks the lemon juice out lmao.

It's hard to tell a difference with diff ph acids as bud always look superb but if ur organic I say yes use it! I'll actually look to see if its 100% citric acid coz if it is it would b way cheaper to buy it in bulk!

Gd lk.
