I am hoping to make it to the cup. Right now, I am stressed to my limits. Not very good company, lol. If my crew does not lynch me between now and next weekend, I will be there.

hey bro I am curious as to why you loop the hose around and around the smart pots in circles? and do you just have 1 nossle per smart pot or do you have more than 1 per smart pot? (dont know if its called a nossle, but i mean the thing that the water comes from)

Doser system is working well... too well, actually. we overwatered for the first few days of having it installed and are still drying out from it. We added 10 feet of DET to each pot and broke the main garden into two zones or we would not have the flow (25 GPH per pot now) as was intended in the original sketch. When things mellow out at the garden of Eden, I will have more time to play with it. I still have not had a chance to set up the ppm meter.

Those blue things holding down the BB tarps are double bladder water tubes that are intended for holding down overwinter in-ground pool covers. They conform beautifully to the ground, are relatively inexpensive and occurred to me last year instantly when I was figuring out how to work my boxes. They are much more windproof than 2x4's and the way they conform to the ground makes for a very good light seal... especially on uneven ground. I use the double ones vs the single joints for redundancy... Star Thistle, the scourge of my back yard (I have heard it referred to as "mendocino's other weed problem,) will pop these suckers if they are carelessly put down on it... this way, they are not useless after one pop. I have not tried, but I bet kiddie pool repair patch would fix em.

i was trying trying to catch up on my reading before i made a post, but i just realized thats not going to happen so anyway..... THANKS GUYS!

nomaad - i cant even begin to imagine how you have the time to keep up on your garden, family, and still provide ICMAG with priceless info. it was a sad time when i read you had to take down the down... but thank you so much for staying up on this! your post about the liquidity of life put into words something i've been feeling the past few years.

trinity gold - thanks for helping nomaad, and in turn helping everyone! your idea on branding a name is very very good. i like that you're not afraid of legalization like most growers are. that all stems from the mentality of there not being enough to go around, which is far from the truth

one piece of advice I can actually give to you master growers is when all this turns into legit business the name of the game is cash flow, or residual income. its not about capital gains, such as a sale and a profit. its about cash flow, how much can be made while still having your TIME!

you guys are too gifted to need to remain laborers. we now live in the Information Age fyi, so long Industrial Age

Nice to see you G+P. I will miss the dome in a big way, but I made her truly portable for a reason. She'll wind up in another very special spot. If the County of Lake writes an ordinance requiring a minimum property size or mandate distances from property lines, this whole scene will be blown. I have already accepted a world in which much of the work I have put into these gardens is wasted. The knowledge I have gained here goes wherever I go.

I am pretty new to this but from all the business classes I have taken this makes a lot of sense. cash flow is important and time is even more important. I think all of us would like more time to do whatever we please. Only passion would prevent any of these guys giving up the labor aspect of growing. Its a labor of love I can tell for most of these guys.

I am still pretty young, but you are absolutely right nomaad knowledge gained goes with you where ever you go. Its like the saying you can give a man a fish or teach him how to fish and feed him for a life time. well it goes something like that. I completely agree. Good luck still everything is looking

I strive to have your extremely patient mentality, wise one. hah, your so at peace man, some day it would be cool to meet you. I cant believe there havent been any more pages of posts added since I was last on, you must be busy!

hope alls well

crossouttheiis: if you have a passion for business you may want to read a book by Robert Kiyosaki called The Conspiracy of the Rich. priceless information, most empowering book of my life second to the Bible

LOL. At peace. Not many who have met me would characterize me as such. Nor patient, for that manner.

What I am is happy with what I have, but not attached to it. Mindful that the only constant is change. I get stressed beyond capacity once a day, at least... but like water, I churn, overcome, coalesce. At the end of it, I feel pretty peaceful in my own way... as long as my family is healthy and thriving... I'm cool.
