I'd say you're good to go. You're foliaring for 3-4 weeks more right? Worst case you hose em down before the flowers get big if you're nervous.

Like a lot of things that work well this will kill soft bodied beneficial insects as well. My view is very few are living in this hot arid canopy anyway.

Good luck. Just keep in mind this is new to me, maybe check for a second opinion.

looks good to me. a plant that size now would yield at least 8-10lb where i'm at

where did you get the JHB calcium
Sorry I'm late getting back to you! Thanks for the words of encouragement.

The JHB I got from Earthwise out of Texas. I don't really know how it compares to Albion, but it's a similar product. Comes only liquid though.

My greenhouse is looking Cal Def. I sprayed them up until week 3. I had a miscalculation with peatmoss bails and may have not put enough Cal in my mix. I'm going to send out a sample to see what to do when I replant it in a couple weeks.

Got a little PM starting in greenhouse. Going to wash er down with h202, then hose water. Dry with leaf blower.
The following day I'll spray potassium bicarbonate. It's unfortunate that probably will make Calcium more of an issue. I have some micronized Cal carb around too.

I was reading something about how EDTA chelated products can further deficiencies when applied to the roots. Can excess chelation cause leaching? Are the amino chelated products better to save for foliar only?I'm a little fuzzy on chelation. It seems to be a bond.

Brainstorming. Or brainfarting.

Thank Darkstar, Bigdank, Tessarect!
I didn't get that photographer to get some photos! I got him to prune a little though. I might have to step up my photo game. There's two folks with fancy DSLR s on the farm. You'd think I'd have it hooked up.

Never applied EDTA to the soil. Nightmares!

It frees up aluminum and iron like you can't believe. Been there, done it. NASTY.

Thanks slownickel I was sure you had some ideas about it. I'm consulting for some folks that might be having those problems. Waiting for a soil test to come back. They've been dumping in azomite for years and fertigate with a product with EDTA nearly daily.

EDTA and azomite..... wow. You won't be able to diagnose anything without a leaf analysis.

Roots showing witches broom syndrome might tell you something visually.

Here is a photo of some sorghum roots. Same age plant. With more and more aluminum toxicity...

Hey y'all. I'm back crushing out jobs this week. I'm setting up a 20' shipping container for a dry room. I got that dropped off on Wednesday. I'm planning on getting another for the fall. Hopefully in september I'll have a machine on the property to make a pad and set them up. Two containers next to each other with an 8 foot space in between and a truss roof over the top.

I really need a dedicated propagation space too I'd like to have two cloning spaces with independent humidity controls for proper hardening off. I'm in the shuffle now. I'm thinking I can make garage-in-a-box a comfortable space for the summer trim. I put it in the shade , maybe add an evaporative cooler.

I'm wishing I had sent a soil analysis out. The greenhouse ran out of Ca & mg by the looks of things. The outdoor had some mag in it. I'm thinking of topdressing a little more.

Just keeping it up.

Amend the soil, top dress, root drench & foliar. It all works. I was just a little slow on catching it because I was out of town.
I have AEA photomag running too.

Nice simple approach. I can appreciate only wanting to spend money on what you actually need and what's effective versus chasing the dragon of finding that next best thing

Well sometimes I get caught up. I bought a Triminator dry last year and I bought Advancing Eco Ag products this year. I don't think they are bad products I just like the simple approach with raw ingredients. I bought a house and I want a new commercial property.

Thanks FoothillFarming , Skooter and Caterpillar!

I feel ya. I got a house paid in full. Just waiting for the laws before I cash in and invest in a commercial or Ag space. :tiphat:

Drying racks

Drying racks

Hey y'all. Just a peep at my dry rack situation. I make them by cutting a roll of nylon 7' deer fence in half with a circular saw (be careful!). I cut them short enough that I can comfortably carry a rack without getting them in the dirt. A 4' 2x2 for the top header piece. These are just slip-fit but you could staple them together. The whole setup usually slides on 2x4 rails. This time the shipping container had hooks in the right spots so I used ratchet straps. EASY.

The racks can be hung on bolts or nails in other locations for hanging, bucking, or loading up bins to prevent congestion in the dry room. Also you can have them spaced far for stage #1 if drying, then slide them closer after the buds shrink. As it sits in the container now I can fit 27 gallon HDX bins under the dry racks 1 course high. This is super convenient for me.

I decided to use EMT in the garden, I used rebar before as I can cut 13'4" pieces out of a 40' piece. Getting bundles of EMT was way easier and half the price.
Thanks Tesseracting!

We beat a short stake in the ground to get the holes started before trying to use a post pounder. It went easy this way. Going to try using EMT connectors to add some more height and get the tops secured.

I was cleaning out my greenhouse and planting the next round and the sheriff chopper started beating the shit out of my garden. There was a rollover accident just then next just down the road. I hope they were checking that out. It was white w/ blue stripes looked like ELDO or chp. I just stayed in the greenhouse. I haven't been flown in years so I was stressing for a bit.
