Yes it's the same mainstream fear based argument. Easy come easy go. Our way of life, habits, needs etc, has been dictated to us. When we are taught a new way of life humans will quickly learn and accept it. The modern world is a throw away society. Why would we want to sustain something so disgusting? How many thousands of acres of crops are tested and thrown out annually by companies like Monsanto? Cali farms are struggling because peeps want to water their lawns in the suburbs. In time this will change. The powers that rule over us keep us tightly packed and scared because we belong to them and are their slaves. It's the only means of control. Ever wonder why we all work 9-5 to make rich people richer? It's about ownership. These teachings are akin to the flat earth. All I can comprehend from this overpopulation theory is 'be afraid', and "do what I say". When people are scared they will look two big brother for guidance. Right now big brother is corrupt multinational slave driving corporations. They will give us more ideas and we will continue to buy their bs. These are the same entities that don't want us using cannabis as a means of mellowing our minds. They feed off of stress and fear and negative energy in general. Rulers and regimes change, and in time the current powers will fade and a new will rule.
I'm kinda hoping that a true king will one day be born and wipe out all the corporations and take care of the people. Maybe at this point we need a supenatural character like Jesus but maybe not. The modern corporations run the world and the Zionists that run most of them are sociopathic. Capitalism will soon be dead and gone and so will ideas of greatness and power and ownership of people, none of which are needed to live on earth and be happy. The earth is gigantic and roomy and everything will be great:)

Actually I think it's the idea of some savoir coming on the wave of an apocalypse that keeps people from doing things. I mean one can't look around with a clear focused eye and feel good about the world. There's too much that is wrong and bad and too little that is right and good. Too many feel things are so bad that an apocalypse is soon to come. Look at what we watch on tv and in the movie theaters a large percentage of it is apocalyptic either about something disastrous happening or about some perverse future world like Hunger Games and Divergent. Sure the hero wins but that's because people want happy endings to distract from their unhappy lives.

Maybe if people stopped believing their God was going to come back and make it all better, then they might start to realize that their lives and their futures are in their hands and they could make it whatever they want it to be if they really tried? Rather then look at the problems in their lives and blame everyone but themselves for allowing those problems to happen. It's always the Rich, the corporations, the industrial military complex, the government, the terrorists, the communists, the *insert race here*, the liberals, the conservatives, etc., ad nauseam. Never themselves. They're like the train full of people that watched and did nothing while a middle aged man got beat up by a group of young men because he wouldn't let one of them use his cellphone.

very true student teacher.ive always thought pot made me think outside the box.it makes abstract thought process happen imo,and thats what helps make new ideas.i really doubt theat big brother wants folks like us makin the rules

It's inevitable and folks like us already are making rules, that's why things on the prohibition front have been steadily improving. The system is aging and as it does more and more the younger generations take control. We now have people in places of power that know that marijuana is not the evil gateway drug our parents and grandparents thought it was.

i think the summarians teach that not the bible.this stuff you talk about dr.fever is much much closer than you think.we are going to run out of other key resources that are way more important than oil 1st.id have to say water is at risk more than oil,and im not going to go into other resources like phosphorus ect..our world relies on much more than just fossil fuel, and all of these things are in short supply.empathy is devoid in this world.i only see a few souls showing sympathy.its very dishearting

Actually our atmosphere is at greatest risk. Not in just how it plays a role in global warming but also pollution levels and the impact it has on everything else. One half to two thirds of the oxygen in our atmosphere comes from plankton in the ocean. If we succeed in killing them off with the toxins we dump or spill into the ocean or that which gets spewed into the air only to eventually end up in the ocean, then all life on this planet requiring oxygen will be screwed. Or if we continue to allow the bee colonies to die off enough plant life could be impacted that most life forms on earth would die of starvation in just a couple of years. There are so many ways we are right on the tipping point of global catastrophe and yet ironically the things that could cause it go mostly unnoticed.

Creation all the way, we have to much evidence of it including an undeniable written account...

Actually if you fully understand the whole history of "The Bible" (I gather that's the undeniable written account you're referring to) there is a whole lot about it that can be denied.

"The Bible" as we know it now, didn't even exist until about 1400 years after the most recent thing described in "The Bible" (the life and times of Christ and his disciples). Now the things that were the components of the Modern bible, the various books, were more contemporary but they did not exist connected together into one physical book. They ended up in that one book 1400 years later because leaders of that time felt it was necessary to have that as part of their control of the masses. To which end they held it up to the masses as the written word of god. When it was really just a collection of stories that aided the ruling class to hold dominion over the masses with the carrot of eternal life in paradise and the stick of eternal damnation in hell.

Yes, for the most part humans are masters of shifting blame, and and many would benefit greatly from being more honest with themselves and taking credit for their actions. However the corporations and governments of the world do have quite a bit of say on what happens in our lives and how we live them. And then there is evil, dark energy, demons,,Satan, etc, that can certainly get the best of people at times. Life is not always a fair, level, playing field where people should be blamed or Judged for making improper or incorrect decisions.

5 years ago I was having intense feelings and tried to stop contributing to the demise of our poor mother earth. I stopped growing medicine, sold my car, gave most of my clothes to charity, moved out of my apartment, bought a bicycle and a some camping gear and just went for it. Now for me, a couch potato, and one who enjoys a mellow walk on the beach, this was a pretty big deal at the time. I hadn't been camping for 15 +years and it had been at least as long since I had ridden a bicycle. My friends and family thought I had lost my mind, and I do not mean this figuratively.
I had about fifteen grand when I started camping, so I was by no means living like a hobo, but I tried my best to avoid common luxuries. I found this to be impossible. In America, the only place to purchase food is from grocery stores. Of course we all know everything in the stores has been shipped for thousands of miles after being wrapped in plastic, or packed in cardboard or both. All of my money was still going to these corporations and towards pollution, though I had cut back quite a bit. I rode my bike everywhere but took the bus on occasion, so petrol usage was down to zero, except for the gas used to ship my food. Most of the time I camped at state parks in Cali, Oregon, and Washington, though sometimes I just went into the wilderness by myself for a couple days. Of course I had to pay for the camping most of the time, though it was only $6--$10 a day.
What I found while camping was that, because most of the land is spoken for, it's pretty tough to just bail on society and get back to nature. Even if I knew how to hunt and grow crops, which I have zero experience at either, then theres the where? I suppose if I searched I could have found a hippy commune somewhere to try and settle in. I did not, and found that if I wanted to stay close to a food source, I have to pay to camp. So, after 7 months I realized that I was still eating the same, all organic, but still store bought from giant corporations. I was using less water and less gas and that was it. I moved back into an apartment, cut down on water, and still rode my bike and took the bus for a while, but needless to say, when growing indoor cannabis, having a vehicle is a pretty big deal. Bringing lbs on the city bus was just asking for trouble, so I had to get a car for work. I try to be more conscious of my waste and my habits, but escaping, for someone like me at least, well, I just couldn't pull it off.
At some point, as the world was passing me by, I had to ask myself, why was I doing it? Was it pride, or stupidity, or did I just crave separation from the masses, or individuality? When you're one of the few people in the town without a house and a car, and sixteen year olds are roaring by you in their parents giant gas guzzling sport utility vehicles, me contributing to saving the world is obviously somewhat pointless as it's not going to happen. It would take many millions of people like me to even make a minuscule difference. As bitchin and important as I am, my actions had no affect, and the world didn't change a bit. I found that what needed correcting was my mindset.Other choices include, finding a monastery and becoming a monk, or roaming and scavenging for food ALONE in the mountains. I found, in choosing my new temporary lifestyle, in a lot of ways, I was choosing loneliness. Most people do not choose to be houseless and use minimum resources. Being a single guy in my 30's it was fairly obvious that I didn't have much of a choice in returning to a 'normal' lifestyle so I could hopefully find someone to love. My friends were correct in assuming that most homeless folks are mentally or emotionally troubled, so I spent a lot of time alone, away from these types.
I'm not saying I'm perfect or I couldn't have tried harder. I simply enjoy the company of sane human beings and I have zero survival skills and zero land. For most of us, there really isn't much we can do to make a difference.
The only thing an individual can change in the world is the way they perceive the world. So in a sense, we still need to take responsibility, but not for the things that many of us are complaining about, but for the way we understand and react to these things. While some entities destroy the earth and force evil upon us, we are still pretty damn lucky to be able to enjoy the earth for all of it's beauty, so long as that is our focus.
I've never met anyone with 'an answer', and likely will not. The hope for a savior to me is positive. It means people know and understand that they want things to be different and more peaceful. Many people understand that a major event or magical Jesus type character is the only way the power structure will crumble. Optimism is a virtue this day and age.

So.... What saviour are we talking about? There are many creation/God myths.
Or is it a case of " freedom of religion.... As long as it's mine"

Really , now the world has become smaller due to populations mixing and global travel, we know about other cultures myths n stories- how can anyone reject all those out of hand yet still believe our western myth?

"The mystery of sound is mysticism; the harmony of life is religion. The knowledge of vibrations is metaphysics, the analysis of atoms is science, and their harmonious grouping is art. The rhythm of form is poetry, and the rhythm of sound is music. This shows that music is the art or arts and the science of all sciences; and it contains the fountain of all knowledge within itself."

a fine post sir, and hats off to you for a noble experiment
but as you have noted, a few people with strong eco consciences can't make much of a difference directly
few are willingly going to give up the high energy life style
on the other hand, it's hard to see how it can continue at current pace
people forced to give up the energy spigot? not without a fight i'm sure

what god are you talkin about?the people who worship a certain religion or faith are responsible for the actions and ideals of that religion or faith.if you believe in evolution then god doesnt exist therefore you cant put the blame on a religions god only on the religions followers.

No Big Bang? Quantum equation predicts universe has no beginning.
If this is true the universe never began, then I never typed this I guess.
No beginning, no universe.
I know of no such example where nothing was created, began or was started into motion, but it still exists none the less????
It really sounds funny when you say it out loud!

Can anyone give me a real world example of this kind of strange happening?

Also, if you feel it does not take intelligence to create life, but we humans cannot even create life (Cloning is not creation) out of just raw material, then where do we as humans rank in terms of intelligence??

Something to ponder!

Well, you've managed to top yourself for inanities.
If you believe in god, "he" could have "created" evolution, if there was such a thing as "creation", which of course, there isn't.
But, as we all know, in your mind, evolution is so very dangerous, but evolution is not killing people. Religion is. Watched the news lately?

Former NASA engineer claims he saw a NINE FOOT alien

Former NASA engineer claims he saw a NINE FOOT alien

I wonder if the aliens have the same bible? Nah!!!!!

"A former NASA engineer claims he saw a nine-foot alien while monitoring a space mission in 1991.

Clark McClelland was allegedly part of a team based at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, when he spotted the extra-terrestrial humanoid.

The 'entity', he says, stood on two legs and approached two U.S. astronauts, that he would not name, for one minute and seven seconds in the space shuttle bay."
His story has been hailed by supporters as the most conclusive evidence that intelligent life exists in space.

McClelland claims the U.S. government has stripped him of his pension and forced him to live on social security, despite insisting he has served on more than 800 NASA missions.

But in a series of YouTube videos, he implores the public to take him seriously.

'I love my planet, I love our human race. I'm trying to serve all of you, if only you will let me,' he tells viewers.
McClelland's Twitter profile features a picture billed as his younger self in NASA uniform.

In a picture on his website he poses with NASA astronauts by a space shuttle.

Another shows a beaming McClelland allegedly stood with Judy Resnick, America's second female astronaut who died in 1986 when her Challenger shuttle broke apart 73 seconds into flight.
