Mrs. Durban came up with this idea. What do you guys think? I would guess that the new compartment you could make larger to really add some space in there. The veg and the old utility room were very small. This way you could put all the Utilities in the same room and have PLENTY of extra space and you wouldn't have to use so much wood like this either.

Looks good DP, you get more room for electrical stuff, important if you use Vortex or Dayton blower, I guess. I also think that keeping flower and veg/clone ventilation is way to go.

What do you mean by keeping flower and veg/clone ventillation? I'm confused. All attached or all separate. The clone room I don't intend to have any ventillation as they don't need much air at all outside of the door being opened twice a day. The mother and flower of course will be heavily ventillated and air cleaned.

Ok that's what I figured. I actually prefer NGB's design honestly having the negative air pressure and using one fan for everything. This way all the air is cleaned. I was thinking I might just use a 2" pvc from the mother that bypasses the utility room and goes directly to the flower. Then I would add an intake louver at the top on the back side of the mother room. Then all the air would be sent back into the utilty room into the filter at the bottom of the room. The hot air would naturally rise and exit thru the top in which I have a 4" x 4" hole.

dont look to bad. looks like mrs durbin is on smart cokkie.... i was kind of thinking the same thing up having the utial on top of the cab with the top lifing up for easy acces, but vent all the room sepretly. i was playing around with the cab and have beem leaving the door cracked and notice the temp have drop big time now instead of being 10 degrees over room temp now its more like 1 to 2 so in fact the ventalation is way under size but for now i think adding 2 more 2" vents inthe flowing room will help a lot and closing the vent off from the mother room to the flowiing room and vent the mother room into the utial cab by it self.

I'll tell her that lol. We were also contemplating on the top or the back but it seemed to make it less pretty. Perhaps the opposite side would also work. That would sure make for less work lol.

It's surprising ot see what opening up some ventillation will do to your temps. Pontiac suggested that I didn't have enough intake space and sure enough I didn't. I made the holes in the floor under the drawer slide part. Good to hear your girls will be gettin cooler. :D

yeah i got the temps down big time but my plant is still not doing well from what i can tell store brand hyrdo ferts are made only for mj i played with all the mixes yet my plants are dying and funny not one bit of info on growing tomaotes with frerts like gh 3 parts or flornova or even pbp its all the same info mix your own from salts or useing mircogro plant crap and bouth plants are showing the same proublem there leafs are going limp the flower open and now fall off before frute grow one is in a bubble the other in na flood and drain so there some thing wroung here or my ferts are bad . but i got the funny feeling my ferts are fucked beuse the frist grow i did i didnt have any metes i just mixed like the botle said and had no proublem now the longer i grow the more proublem i am having the 3 part i have is 2 to 3 years old now and the fn has to be over a year old and gh web site states there ferts have a self life of a year and if this is true then if the hyrdo store has had the nutes for 6 mounts there there dam near shot time you buy the shit so i think what i will do is just mix my own salts and to hell with al this store brand shit but lack of funds has me fucked cant even aford the gas to go into town

Bummer man. Sorry to hear that. One thing I forgot to tell you that I learned recently is that you have to keep the nutes in cool temps. Above 80°F can cause them to go bad so keep them in the fridge or something. How's the new job going? You get started yet? Good luck man.

well i have been giving it some tought but not so shure the risk is worth it all read to the point if i get cught with just one lil plant growing its 5 years but i can have up to 20 grams is a mistermerner

well i been playing around with all the resapies and i swear my nutes are bad cant belive i cant grow lettec and tomatoes with either floranova or the 3 part so looks like when i plant my good stuff i am going to have to get new nutes. i notice on gh web site nutes are only good for a year and mine are way past that. they need to put date on there stuff so when you buy it you know its fresh. think i am fixing to chop em all glad its not my good seeeds.

That sucks man. Sounds like most nutes only last a year anyhow. =/ Oh well you'll get it right next run. At least you didn't waste any good beans. :D

damm great thread with fond memories of me getting hooked growing.

These threads hooked me into the scene and i just wanted to say the following:

Why waste the available verticle space?? those boxes have nothing above them!!!

I took that general flaw and created my tower out of pure marine grade ply with treated F4 timber water sealant paint and screws gallore.

it measures 700 deap 1400 wide and 2000 high yes the size of a full sheet of ply hehe
