dont understand all the effort nice set up , tiny lights. if ur busted its the same amount of plants just very low yielding setups. is stealth the reason? or fear of being productive?

I dont know about NG2k but I already struggle to get the electricity bill paid, plugging in a 400 or 600 would really mess with my finances to the point I might have to give up beer or something.

Nono, if you can get what you need from your setup then thats what matters right? I mean 2ozs would last me over 2 months. Sure it might be nice to have a little surplus to share, give away, maybe even sell... but really if you're getting all the smoke that you require for only the cost of your electricity (after the initial equipment cost has been paid off) then you've achieved what matters - self sufficiency.

edit: and on that note they're looking excellent NG2k, really good. Fast growing aint they, I was thinking those buds look real good for 22 days. How long do you expect them to go for ?

thanks bud.... well the packet says 45-55 days.... but im pretty sure they will be at the lower end of that range as they are so "mature" in terms of how long i vegged the mother for. 23days today so yeh.... im about half way through

they are starting to develop a little bit of a smell... quite sweet....but also earthy and ever so slightly piney. i know NL is meant to be THE low odour strain but i do hope it stays low odour... i havnt got a carbon scrubber yet....but no worries... im sure ill get one built for the next grow tho.

well all i thought i would pop a few photos in now that i feel im half way there (day 25). the trich production seems to be on the increase and ive even spotted a few red pistils but..... yesterday night i found a single calyx (under the screen) which did look a little how shall we say.... different. it had too little bananas sticking out of it and when i touched it a shower of dust was emitted not to worry its quite out of the way from the main nugs.... and i removed it with scissors instantly. i dont quite know what to put it down to. a couple of times ive opened the door when the lights hadnt yet come on so i just hope its the only one.....

here we go.... not quite up to standard as normal tho

oh no only thing is the pollen would of spread more then you think, looking good tho man keep it up, i would say the pistils that turn early have been hit.

hmmmmmmmmm..... i dont know much about these sortta things... yes i know the pollen is pretty much invisible but im not too worried about it pollinating. i just dont want the whole plant to hermie. i suppose the brown pistils could be pollinated already.... i just cant say

hey ng2k, sorry man, soo stoned, had the all the pages open in different tabs as well as another thread so was commenting on the first page of a different thread and then 2+ of yours! hehe. still, apart from the cover everything else is bang on! hehehe

don't want to be the bearer of bad news BUT the red pistils may well have been a result of other male flowers as mentioned above, when a calyx is dusted with pollen it will go red and the bracts will grow around it and a seed will develop inside. it might not be that though... worst case scenario and all that. quick changes in ph/nutes can often turn some pistils too. but pollen does spread.


i got my fingers crossed for you. if there are only a few male flowers just carefully pick them off and keep doing a check daily. herms really piss me off so i feel for you if it is that, i can never be bothered to pick though immature seeds for buds. if i had a whole crop go (fingers crossed it never happens) i'd be tempted to use the lot for hash.

nah dont worry... the flower that turned was under the canopy right next to the door crack and when i open the outer door to open the upper cupboard im guessing light can get through to the growroom below. its ok... ill just be more careful next time.... get my bong in the dark lol! the 2 red sets of pistils are on the same plant directly above the old nanners. itll be ok tho....

my best advice is study them closely to make sure no more bananas are present as they are very good at hiding trust me on that one
