next up will hopefully be mandalas satori, really want to try it. might SOG it instead tho because its very sat dom. will be a while tho before i start up again, i got work to do in the cab before growing that, a filter for one and a better fan to run it through, plus some minor adjustments. also got a holiday coming up, so will aim to germ after i get back from that.... and do the work by the time i go...

the smoke is great, very indica..... and this is the stuff i pulled early, cant wait to try the buds off the plants pulled on day 58.... i probably wont even move . also hash making to do, and a medicinal cream for my ol' mum. want to try some edibles soon too . on top of that im building a new bong, in glass. should be great.... :wink:

as you can tell from the ol' rambling, i am very stoned :wink:

scrogging.... i think it is easier to do than people think, maybe using a steel wire mesh made it easier than using string or plastic, but i dont know . not much point in being impatient is there, if you wait and let the buds grow to full-maturity, A) you actually get stoned, B) it tastes good and C) you get more :wink:... patience is a virtue in the growing game (so im told )

here is the recipe for the cream taken from a different site, i think the user runs "budbuddies" in the UK.

Many arthritis suffers report that the application of a topical application to arthritic joints, twice a day aids with pain relief and reduces inflamation


Cannabis Cream

Required

500ml olive oil
75 grams of beeswax
50 grams of cannabis trim leaves OR 25g of cannabis bud
1 Litre of water


Ideally the cream should be made in a slow cooker, alternatively a saucepan can be used, however, simmer only, DO NOT boil

Add the oil, trim and water together in your pan or slow cooker

Simmer for 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes or so

After 4 hours, allow to cool

Pour contents of the pan/slow cooker through a sieve into a clean bowl or plastic container. press the cannabis trim with the back of a spoon to force out as much oil as possible from the trim, discard trim

Place the water and oil solution into the coldest part of the fridge, after 24 to 48 hours (if your fridge is at the correct temperature) the olive oil will solidify, this will allow you to seperate the water from the oil, discard water

Alternatively, the oil and water mix can be placed in the freezer

You should now be left with a slightly green olive oil in solid form

Place oil into a saucepan and gently heat (simmer only) DO NOT boil

Add the beeswax (small pieces of wax disolve quicker than one big piece), keep stirring until all the wax has disolved

Pour into suitable containers, wide necked jars or margerine tubs are best, and allow to cool

Application of the cream twice a day (morning and evening) seems to produce the most favourable results

A few drops of essential oil of lavender can be added with the beeswax if you wish for a less 'canna' aroma

NOTE

Note of caution tho' lavender should not be used in you suffer from epilepsy and the cream should not be applied to open sores or wounds

Some people prefer to use as a massage oil, in which case do not add the beeswax

Also for longevity, keep it in the fridge if possible

So your pheno took 58+ days to mature? Nirvana recommends 45-50 days... I wonder if mine will need to be pulled late as well?... They're stretching like f u c k i n g CRAZY. I had completely forgotten that cannabis stretches when flowering, so I'm going to end up with 3-4 foot clones and 5-6 foot mums. LOL

oh dear.... im sure you will overcome the stretch. well my packet states 45-55 days, now i pulled one plant at day 50 (for a more heady stone), and then i had to wait 8 days before i could harvest again, due to work/family etc etc. so..... i cant say when yours will need to be pulled, however if i were you i would definitely be patient and wait, the plants packed a fair bit of weight on in those 8 extra days compared to the one pulled early.

Mate, have you any experience with this cream you speak off?? Someone very close to my heart has rhumatoid (sp) and it truly breaks my heart to see it happen, and if I could help- well, words couldnt explain mate.

Main reason I popped in was to see how me old china plates doing Hope things are well, they certainly look like it. Getting all set for the next round, what you running next time again, I know you told me!

Oh yeah, I wouldn't trust breeders packs as far as I can throw 'em where harvest times are concerned, Load of bollocks half the time! Suppose it give's people a rough indication, but for a true harvest date- we all know to check our trichs.

well as of yet no i have not used or made it. i will be making a batch for mum who has arthritis in her hands and there are many other uses for it, e.g a massage oil for bad back/muscular pain.
i was also wondering..... DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS! whether it would be a good treatment for migraines/headaches if applied across the forehead/temples. i say this as my younger brother has serious migraines (as do i) but mum and i feel he is to young to smoke/eat anything THC-related at his age. have sent a message to the "inventor" of this cream and im waiting on a reply.... so will let you all know.

mate.... im doing fine... actually more than fine. absolutely chuffed to the core with how this grow has gone.... the smoke is incredible. will wait for a month or 2 of cure for a final smoke report but so far this stuff really knocks you on ur ass.
going to go for mandalas satori next time round but do need to make a few adjustments to the growroom before i start. wont be germing till after august either tho, due to holidays and the inevitable summer heatwave that is bound to strike this year... "i can feel it in me bones "

Be mighty grateful to hear back from you mate on the ol cream. I a chronic migrane sufferer myself, but I'd rather use any cream I make for me loved one.
While a migrane is painful, arthritis is awful and a nasty thing to see happen to someone ya love, as ya know- I'd have a life-time of them if it meant I could stop a little bit of pain, you know.

Anyways, I'm good mate, very fucking good infact. Finally back on my feet and just harvested my first grow since having to shut shop. Things aint as good as they were garden wise, but just grateful for what I have at the moment. Lost some nice strains but I'll get 'em back and give's me a excuse to start some more beans.

I asked A.N Other and I'll ask you, please don't close shop for summer. I know it's fucking hot and getting any descent intake temps are about as rare as rocking-horse shit, but it can be managable- could always treat yourself and get a swanky new a/c. Go on treat yaself :wink:

yeah ill post up what he says in relation to the cream.

i will have to stop on the grow front over summer tho mate, i got a holiday coming up which would be smack bang in the middle of the grow. also i cant control the temps that well, and the idea of an air con system in my space is just absurd, you probably couldnt even fit a dog in it . the next grow, will be satori will be ready soon tho, with a new fan and filter, so should be good :wink:
