if you train/tie them down for the first 1.5 weeks you should be fine bro
...i cant wait to see em start a buddin

judging from your pic..it looks like they are only a few inches above the screen now?
..and 7 days into flower?.....looks about right for a good scrog bro

stealth it is nirvana's northern lights pure indica. i dont know if it is actually still available, i know they have changed their range and it was a while back.

guvnah mate its been a while.... well... if im honest with you i have been using bloom nutes ever since they rooted....it hasnt caused a problem and for once they have all been healthy as anything, last feeding was.... friday and i cut the bio-grow nutes down to half my usual "dosage".

i do tuck fan leaves under existing tips that are forming so that no light is wasted but if there is growth under the screen which is shaded by big fan leaves they get the chip shop.

as for tripling on me.... is that still the case if they have been numerously topped and tied down? surely the stretch is spread out evenly across all the tips rather than the single tip when grown naturally.

mtnjohn well.... if i have only got a few more days for trainin an' tyin then this screen wont be as much as a mess as i thought it would be.
well i flowered straight after the final topping and didnt add the screen for a few days so they are staying under control. i only let each tip get about 2" above the screen before i pull it back down again, and because i am using a screen much smaller than the norm.... there are more places to tuck the tips under.

is it a good idea to have more than one tip per square? because i have more tips than squares.

thanks to all!!!

Yes! You have been using her stretch to your advantage to fill the screen horizontally- whereas I grew her chrimbo tree style, where her stretch was used vertically.

If you hadnt of trained in inital flowering, she would have double vertically. Thats why scroggers leave a certain percentage of their screens blank before flowering-so the stretch will fill the remaining screen, then slightly grow to create some nice colas.

oh right... the super simple scrog, yea that would be easier to use i reckon. i cant really turn the plants around or move them about in this screen, but this gives more options as each plant doesnt have a boundary it can weave above the next one.

that tip did die in the end.... got an ickle hole.... soon be filled

sativa or indica? i would have thought an indica would be easier to scrog.
im thinking of either doing some AF breeding or some of mandalas sativas, particularly satori, in a SOG depending when i go on holiday.

im not sure what yet but ive got other plans now to move my grow box, so ican getmore space :joint: i was thinking of strawberry cough or one ive got called deep#2 which is deep chunk crossed with NL#2 ( one of my own doings) but saying that ive got so many strains to choose from im spoilt :p

lol.... well im pretty new to it all, ive still got some LR beans which is what gave me the idea to make my own AF crosses. i did look at Dutch passions fem strawberry cough..... but at the moment there a bit too expenisve for me and mite take a little too long depending on when i go on holiday. very very eager to try mandala's satori, it is just screaming out at me, and ill think ill do a SOG from clones with that as that seems to be the best approach with satori.
thanks man

ive actually crossed some LR with some jamaican beans i had, the only reason i hit the jamaican plant with the pollen was because it smelt and looked pretty good for jammy bagseed, but ive only got f1's at the moment........i just bought the standard SC at £10 :joint:......i dont mind weeding out the males to get to the good stuff, ive not really read much about the satori but mandala seeds are supose to be ok from what ive heard.

well.... i thought id post an update, but these pics are from last nite, so if i get time ill post another couple of pics up, when the lights come on, of tonite to see if the difference can be noticed. i bought the topmax so it should be here tomorow or friday.

and as for the experiment, which as of yet i havnt mentioned about.....
well the 2 control plants are a lot lighter green than the other two pairs. now, as far as i know and in all the research i did no where did it state that any of the seeds/nuts used in my "blanche" contained nitrogen and as far as im aware, nuts/seeds DONT contain N. therefore the other micronutrients that help with the absorption, transportation and usage of Nitrogen that were contained in the "blanche" have successfully done their job with a noticable difference. i dont know how visible it is in the pictures, but all i can say is there is a noticable difference in the health of the plants. the 2 plants with the higher concentration mix dont seem to have any problems, but are not that much "healthier" than the low concentration plants.

also in the pic is my handy "weed-wand" which i use to water the plants at the back (and front) as with this screen in place and no way of sliding them out it obviously poses a problem. cost zilch.... takes half the time that it normally does and is easier to use than straight out of the mixing bottle :D!!

anyway.... heres yesterdays pics... pistils starting to form nicely, but not captured on film yet tho.

Peace

i know what time lights do come on, but wont the room lights cause inconsistency for the plants? what is the advantage without the HPS?

........better pics without the hps glow

never hurt my plants..a few minutes wont matter.................but if you are worried then just unplug your light for a few while its on...i just dont like to plug and unplug ...heard it shortens the life of either the ballast or bulb..not sure which
