I thought i knew food but i dont think ive ever heard of picadillo, Hawk. So it's basically a tomato based meat sauce with other stuff like potatoes and zucchini added in and served over rice? That looks pretty decent, was it good? What made u decide to make it, and have u made it before?

I normally stick to the chocolate long johns and the boston creme filled donuts, but next time i go ill try a fritter, love a good apple fritter. Do Bostonians call Dunkin Donuts "Dunkies" or am i totally off base there?

i seen a few videos on youtube baba and decided to make it.there are different versions.i guess in columbia they use raisins.i dont like raisins.it was ok.reminded me of chili.it was a liitle too spicey.had cayene and chili powder and jalapenos.fuck as i was typing this my mom just got hit by a car while she was on a motor cart at walmart.thank god shes ok.maybe this will help her get disability

Ok, i knew i heard that phrase before just wanted to keep it authentic, thanks DB.

I like raisins in general but i agree with u, not in something savory. Like some people put raisins in potato salad, that's just weird, like u trying to get too fancy with it or something.

Haha, that's like New Yorkers telling people to just call the city New York, not New York City.
And I believe cream pies, used by itself, refers to nutting in a woman's vagina. So maybe Bostonians call boston cream pies just 'pie'. Right, DB?

Hey @shithawk420 hey @Bababooey yeah they still say Boston creme pie around here. You have no idea how good that apple fritter was. I was high and it was a delicacy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. They only make a few a day, not a big seller.
It's 730am...taking hits of kief in the bathroom and sitting on the bed playing with the telephone.
The thing they removed from my hip wasn't cancer, thankfully. Big scar though.

Ive heard eating fish eyes is a thing, u ever eat fish eyeballs, Buzz?
I have not eaten any fish eyes. I have looked closely at fish eyes.
avatar.jpg

That's a wild story, Buzz, i could see how NYC could be considered modern day Babylon, and with the centennial there was even more significance. You were quite impulsive back in the day huh? And poor Robert had to drop out before his wife and kid left him. But u still had the fortitude to go on? Was the whole Christ Family thing a positive experience in ur life, u think?

/when you feel the spirit churning you have to go along but it shows your conviction to the cause that you went on by yourself
It was a wild trip. I believed without a doubt. That was the only way to make the walk. Every little sign along the way confirmed my belief. When I was so tired I felt I could not take another step a car would pull over and someone would ask, "Do you want a ride?"
"Yes," and then I would ride as far as the driver was going in whatever direction. If people asked me questions I answered them. The rest of the time I spent walking.
Dang, walking from georgia to new york city is a trip, u must have had so many experiences just making it up there. Did u have to work for ur meals and shelter?
I carried a shoulder bag with a bowl, a spoon, Bugler (the bugler logo was the angel Gabriel sounding the trumpet) tobacco, and sometimes people gave me money. Grocery store dumpsters were called "salad bars" for all of the edible foods that is wasted. Many kind people gave me food and shelter. I never asked for anything. When anyone offered anything I accepted. Yes/No questions always answered "Yes". I never had a weird question that would have demanded "NO!"

Shelter was found following a simple rule. If a door is open it is OK to stay there. A cop in Cleveland TN told me to be out of town before dark late one afternoon or I would be spending time in their jail. I kept walking after he left. A church ahead looked like shelter so I walked up to the door and it was unlocked. I went inside and no one was there. I spent a quiet comfortable night in a corridor. Locked doors were a no go. Open windows were a no go. I slept under the stars many nights but I was invisible in the spots I chose to bed down. One of my pleasant memories is of lying on my bedroll looking up through a canopy of trees. The leaves formed patterns against the fading twilight and as I watched the patterns form and move above me I drifted off to sleep.
But that must have felt awesome seeing a friendly face in NYC. What's michael up to, he still kicking?
When I heard his voice it was totally awesome and completely unexpected. I had wandered all over Manhattan and Brooklyn looking for the Christ Family. People jeered at me or told me they had seen others around, and I kept on walking and looking. I think we spent a day together wandering the City still looking for others. As the daylight faded I left Michael and walked away. I dropped my head wear, my bag and blanket, untied my rope belt and walked around Manhattan. It was as if I had the punch line to The Cosmic Joke. Lots of people I passed, and I smiled and nodded to each as I shared the joke with them through my spirit. It was a long long night that got very dark.
you guys get many yellow tail out there
There are yellow tail snappers in the Keys down on the reefs, but they are not the California yellow tail.
The real fatty tuna belly from bluefin tuna is called otoro and seems like it’s $12-25 per piece.
I had the chance to try some otoro. I did not like it due to the texture. It was mushy in my mouth and I almost gagged. I finally got it down my throat. I declined when offered more. That is the first sashimi I did not like.
I like Buzz’s writing style, descriptive enough but not pedantic, keeping the plot moving and always leaving us on cliffhangers. Do you keep a journal, Buzz? Maybe u should write a book or have a blog.
I appreciate that, @Bababooey . I kept a journal for many years. I have not written to myself in many years.

Did you hear about Edison's Teeth?

Yeah, they should never put hot food and cold food in the same container if they can help it. Was it good at least? And those are pretty fair prices, although the rolls look a little small so maybe not that great of a deal?
I've made rolls at home before, it's not that hard so long as u have all the ingredients.

U make me want to go get a dunkie's apple fritter first thing in the morning, DB. Ur right tho, fast food is pretty mid but when it's hot and fresh it's pretty darn good.
It's been a while since ive waked and baked before, does the kief give u a decent amount of energy or do u still need coffee in the mornings?
Congrats on the no cancer diagnosis, i think u told us that before or did they still need to run tests on it?
That scar is pretty gnarley, like Buzz said maybe u can tell girls it's from a shark attack. Also that it leads to a happy place (points towards groin).

Very very cool story, Buzz. It must have been interesting to be a drifter back in the day. I wonder what it must be like now? With social media and smartphones you can connect with so many people virtually. Kind of like icmag.

There was a fruit and vegetable store in chicago that would leave their expired produce in the alley behind their store, i went there once or twice and grabbed a bunch of expired fruit. Really so much food wastage in america, you could feed all the starving people with what we waste, only problem is getting it to them.

So when u dropped ur clothes u were walking around manhattan in ur jammies? That would have gotten a few smiles for sure.
Maybe the otoro u had was too warm? Most sushi fish is served fairly cold, once it comes to room temp the texture is off, too slimy etc.
If u still have ur old journal you should scan it with ur smartphone or something, make sure u have a digital copy of it, keep it for posterity and to possibly share it, if u feel so inclined.

I looked up edison's teeth, so thomas edison would bite piano cause the vibrations would enable him to 'hear' the music better? Well, he was a genius and scientist and it's true that sound is basically vibrations of air molecules. You did mention the rattle on ur hat would reverberate through ur skull...

I still had the robe on and boxers underneath.

The koi and dolphin story began in the swimming pool pictured below. The dock in the background is where I walked the dead fish. The dolphins were at the end of the dock. The water to the right of the dock in the photo is shallow and clear. I caught many snook, redfish, sheephead and a couple of sawfish there.

I got to take care of Tom and Henry's winter homes and gardens. One day I learned we were going to clean up some displays in the museum. There was a glass topped display case that had all kinds of small objects. It was cluttered with no sort of organization. There was a rack of test tubes in this particular case. There were probably a dozen tubes and each tube was sealed with wax. The story told about these test tubes was that as Thomas Edison lay on his death bed, Henry Ford captured Edison's last breaths in those tubes. Apocryphal stories and museums sometimes go hand in hand.

What's this secret for scars, Hawk? Does it work on old scars or just new ones?

That's interesting, DB. i thought there was a way to auto correct your voice to text dictionary, let me do some research. Do u have an iphone or android?

Bears beat the panthers last night, just barely tho. Bears O-line and D-line look competent, montez sweat had 8 pressures yesterday and the team had 3 sacks total. Justin fields should be back next game as well. And by beating the panthers, carolina is now in last place and bears have the #1 overall pick (carolina's) and the #5 overall (their own pick).

Wow, that's some beautiful scenery, Buzz. Didnt know edison was loaded, but i guess he founded the company that later became GE? So do the Ford and Edison families still own those properties? How often are they occupied, only in the winter?
A lot of people from IL settle in FL once they retire, of course they usually dont buy oceanfront estates. I once spent late November in FL, it was 40F and raining in IL and 80F and sunny in Florida, so yeah i can see the appeal lol.

Ur right, Hawk, only sickos watched the entire game last night, 2 of the worst teams in the nfl, combined total of 29 pts (O/U was 38.5, glad i took the under), bad coaching. Frank reich, panthers coach, tried some yolo pass plays instead of shorter 5yd pass plays so he could attempt a 50yd FG instead of a 59yd FG to tie it up at the end of the game, of course his kicker missed and that was it.

Microneedling, alright, can u do that at home? I've only heard of that with like eyebrows but not sure what it is. Hopefully DB can use some of these techniques on his hip scar, or will ur insurance cover scar removal, DB?
