I knew a guy from LA who was in IL for a few years for school, he said this area was the 'armpit of America', lol. Yeah, it's not quite that bad but you can't beat the socal beaches and weather, i have to admit.
Another friend moved from socal to norcal and complains that the women there are way less hot than the socal milfs he was used to. Who has hotter women, SD or LA, pops? In your opinion?
There are people who like to stack players from the same high powered offense, which isnt the worst idea especially if they have a high scoring game, but it does leave u vulnerable if they dont score much and also during their bye week. I think 3 of my top players will be out for week 13 so that's something ill have to deal with down the road.
I will say that coaches, while most of them are in bad shape, do put in tons of hours on the job and are just as competitive as most players. Ur right, no one likes to lose, even winning teams, and there's a somewhat fine line between good and bad teams. Even the jaguars went from #1 pick in the draft two years in a row to a playoff team last year, even won a playoff game. That sort of turnaround next year is what keeps players hopeful for the future, even if the current year is all sorts of bad.

lol actually i have developed my own style.used to have hundreds of dollars in martial arts books.Bruce Lees Jeet Kune Do opened my eyes.but i use a mixture of ninjutsu,wing chun and Dim Mak and whatever else works.the faster man usually wins.i go for the eyes first then the groin and solar plexus.used to have a Sho Kusugi poster with the kuji manji.got a bruce lee shirt somewhere lol

Yeah, socal was expensive before inflation, and with inflation it’s like how do normal people live? I knew a friend of a friend who had to move to silicon valley for work, he had a good job but 3BR, 2BA ranch homes, like 2400sf, were going for 2 million and up. And that was a few years ago lol. Well at least if he had to sell he made some money.
Is it pacific gas and electric that supplies the utilities in all of california? Kilowatt-hour rates here went from 7c to 12c over the last few years. Im trying to use as little A/C as I can get away with, using portable fans and such to supplement cooling but even then my electric bills are more expensive than they used to be.

I think SS had rodgers and dak, if he had gotten a top 5 QB he probably wouldn’t have picked up a 2nd one and instead used that bench spot on another WR/RB. But maybe he can tell us how he builds his team if he pops back in.

thankfully i live near the coast so it dosent get that hot, but im not a fan of being ripped off by public utilities

Yeah, pairing a top 5 WR with a top 5 QB is a common strategy especially if youre a fan of that team, Allen/Diggs or Kelce/Mahomes stack. Everytime the receiver scores that means a TD for ur QB too.

big houses cost much more to cool, but we are lucky to live by the coast

it also hurts the indoor grower and im reluctant to fire up my lights right now because of the extra $$ it will cost to run them

we have wind farm in the desert that produce jigga'watts of power, but you need a power link to get it to where it is needed

Yeah it must suck to be an indoor grower in cali, cant hardly make any $$ at it, one more reason why the big outdoor grows in norcal probably provide most of the state’s cannabis.
IL actually has like dozens of nuclear power plants, must be one reason our elec costs are somewhat reasonable for a democratically aligned state. Something like 40% of the state’s electricity is generated by nuke power.
U right, a lot of our gas and elec bills are to pay for the infrastructure, even if u use hardly any nat gas (during the summer for instance) youre still paying $40/month just for the line maintenance and fees.

I think in college the state of Iowa criminally charged a bunch of college athletes for betting on their games, they werent trying to point shave, they were betting on their teams to win but still the authorities wanted to make examples of them. I think those athletes opened up accounts in friends/family members’ names yet investigators were able to track the apps and knew they were being used on their own personal phones. Nothing u do on a phone should be considered safe from govt snooping.

the thing with gambling is the idea of impropriety and having players point shave or throw games to win
i doubt its even an issue now unless these guys are wagersin $10s of thousands of dollars on a game, the juice inst worth the squeeze; why risk your career & a chance to play in the nfl?
