naw,i know its not a kitchen knife.maybe there was a typo but i meant it doesnt make a good kitchen knife.if you wanna get technical a tanto blade is for stabbing.in japan it was meant to pierce samurai armor.least thats what they say.but D2 is good steal and its a good knife.heavier than you would think.never meant to cook with it.just cutting boxes or something and if some sorry bastard gets on the wrong end of it thats on them.gonna buy a tazer soon i think.

rouladen is super easy.dont have any pickles so im gonna make something up.got some pork belly i can cut up thin and make strips like bacon and some other ideas i got.i was gonna make braciole but i guess my mom cant eat tomato products anymore.i bought thin top round strips so im just gonna improvise and make a beef gravy instead of tomato.never been to chik fila but when i wanted to go there was literally at least 40 or 50 cars in the drive through.to hell with that.is it really that good?i heard its good but no sauce and tomatoes and lettuce?just pickles?really wanna try their waffle fries though

damnit pops i must be losing it.must be the whiskey and edibles.of course i could use my phone on my tv! stupid me.i havent done it yet cause i got my ps5 to stream youtube and netflix and stuff but i used to use reddit links.think they might have shut that down for sports but ill figure something out.now i feel kinda dumb

dont worry hawk, im here for you man! its pretty easy to pair up a smart tv to your phone
my hiking blade is a crkt tanto flipper, a good sharp blade for cutting stuff open but a strong spine so if i need to drive it into something or get all stabby with it will do the job
i also have this kick ass camp knife i like to use in the back country,a k bar turok
this is the real deal wild man knife, so its kind of much for an edc
you cant have a rouladen without the pickles hawk; maybe you could sub in som of those onions you make and that would bring the tang
my mom and i went the the pizza place and got the rocky" pizza: sausage, mushrooms spinich and ricotta cheese with extra motz
grinding!
they used the sliced sausage instead of the crumbled stuff and you could taste the difference
i got stupid and ordered a 18" pie so it was way more than enough
moms loved it and i gave her a lot of the left over pie
of course i took a couple slices for myself
gotta have my stoned munchies on hand!

yeah,k bars are awesome.i got a pic of my uncles cause its shady as hell.might be a fake but still decent.i need a decent EDC but i need to make sure iy=ts legal in every way.getting charged with a concealed weapon will ruin my day big time.

you read my mind pops.i was gonna use some red onions and maybe banana peppers but its gonna take a couple days to defrost the meat so i should be able to pick up some pickles by then.i think ive got some grey poupon.that should work for mustard.

man pizza sounds good.for some reason my family dont care for pizza too much.my grandma never ate it.always got wings instead.why the fuck cant i have a normal family?people who dont like pizza should be locked up cause cleary thats insane and blasphemous

here in california legal to carry blade is 3.75"
its not a lot of knife but it gets the job done and more then enough for edc
let us know hwo the rouladen turns out man! that sounds good no matter how you put it together
thats wild man i dont know if ive ever met anyone who did not like pizza
lately we have been on the sauceless kick getting white pizzas and things like that
they usually spread a lot of garlic on it then top it with cheese so it kind of creates its own sauce and the ingredients take canter stage
some people also dont like the tomatoe sauce because it causes stomach problems

That’s a new one, rodgers being bi-racial. And I thought armenians are ethnically white/caucasion? Or are they considered middle eastern or arab? I know the kardashians are half armenian, robert kardashian the lawyer was armenian, but appearance wise he looked italian or greek, just another tan white guy.

I actually didn’t mind streaming games on my phone cause then I could carry it around with me, go to the kitchen or bathroom it’s right there lol. But yeah it might be nice seeing it on the big screen, maybe ill try to cast it to my tv this season. Let me know how it works for u.

Yeah, it looks like a japanese tanto or dagger, always wondered why they didn’t have some sort of crossguard to prevent slippage but I guess if theyre used strictly for slicing, not stabbing, then it works.
Haha yeah, crazy hot chicks with knives, if you set them off the risk of getting stabbed is real.

That’s right Pops, the niners don’t need a great QB to be a top 10 offense, and before cmc they’ve gotten by with a lot of mid-tier RBs that they didn’t have to pay much. And titans are getting by with tannehill at QB, who’s not being top QB money but derrick henry has a top RB contract (12M/yr). Maybe a team could pick up dalvin cook and trade for saquon barkley and rush for 3k yards as a team. With an above average defense, is that a team that makes a conference championship (final four)?

Ok, so when ur falling backwards tuck ur head forward and let ur shoulders hit the ground first? And maybe roll over completely backwards to complete the momentum? That makes sense so u don’t do too much damage to ur head.

Where's buckeye? I was looking forward to discussing more cleveland browns with him.

Haha hawk Ive never hooked up my phone to my tv before but I see the prompt come up on my phone sometimes, might have to try it out myself. That’s a good tip from Pops, maybe he’s the real tech guru here. Or u would have figured it out eventually in a moment of sobriety.

Ive been to a german restaurant a couple of times but usually stuck to schnitzel, never tried a rouladen. So I guess it’s a nice way of cooking up some lean beef in a way to make it more tender and moist? Wrap it around a filling, pan fry it and finish it in a gravy sauce? I hear you can use cheese as a filling, maybe that’s something you can try Hawk.

All this talk of knives makes me think I should get one besides a flip open box cutter, lol. But hawk is right, some states are real fascists about carrying knives, you can catch a felony just cause ur knife is half an inch too long. Ridiculous. Also you can’t have an assisted opening knife cause that’s too much like a switchblade.
Aren't old school k-bar's able to be mounted as a bayonet on a rifle? I think the kbars in vietnam could do that, bayonets were still an option back then tho rarely if ever used.
Some knives use counterweights or magnets I think to assist opening it and those would be considered switchblades or no? Im not too familiar with the laws but like hawk said if you carry one regularly you best have a good idea of what's legal in ur state and what's not.

I swear,I looked him up on Google and the first question was is he bi racial.dont really care if he was but he's as white as me.english Irish Scottish.with that beard and narcotic eye look he could pass for Armenian! Just having fun.no more packer guilt.i really think he's gonna have a hard time on the jets though.oh BTW I was having a discussion with my father.rodgers is the oldest active QB right now at 39.i wish him more luck than Bradey.
I think you are thinking of gravity knives baba and they are extremely illegal for stupid reasons.basically you you tilt the blade down and lock it in place with a smooth action but I could could get a spring action folder and do it in less time or an OTF blade would be better.they just want to make everything illegal.not all k bars are bayonets.ill post my uncles janky one.i don't know if it's real

I remember my dad had a sweet belt buckle knife from the 70s or 80s.dont know what happened to it but I'm gonna ask him now.he would of got 5 years for that.

you mean one of those punch knives hawk? its like 2-3" blade and mean to be held in your fist
those things are wicked and while great fighting knives i can see why they would be considered verboten
thata nice looking kbar, it looks old but i dont know enought about knives to verify it its real of not
how about contacting kbar and asking them?
most of the flippers i have will have a thumb stud on the blade (a little metal protrusion) or a spine on the back so you can open it with your forefinger
i never got why some blades were illegal but a friend told me it had to do with being able to delpoy them with one hand ilke a switch blade ot stileeto
hahha im not the tech guru here baba! thats for sure
but like any old dog ive picked up a few tricks along the way
to build a run first team you would need a solid o'line and a stud rb, i like the idea of having two hogs in there but the guys you mentioned are on the premium side and would be too costly
but could you get by with a great rb like barkley/ henery and then bring in some rook fb, big rb and run out of an I formation?
would the defense stack the box too much or could you out smash them for a few plays, run a few rpo plays ( this is where at least a not sucky qb would come in handy) to loosen them up?
the nfl has become a pass fisrt league! (you heard it here first) for the past decade i think, but this could be because of some of the qbs teams build around
yeah, lets not gorget about the sauce on the rouladen! its like a simple mushroom sauce from what i recall but it bring the flavor and makes the bite extra juicy

Yeah, rodgers is a little darker complected than ur average white dude but that’s pretty normal, u ever hear of ‘black Irish’? Those are Irish people who straight up could pass for a somewhat light-skinned hispanic. Seen a few of those in chicago.

I expect rodgers to do pretty darn well with the jets, he’s got better weapons and a better D than he had with the packers last year. 30 passing td’s and 7-8 int’s is very much on the table.

Ive never heard of gravity and otf knives till now, seems there’s all kinds of ways to get around the switchblade laws so long as u don’t use a spring in the knife. Having a knife with a concealed/retractable blade is more convenient for carrying, but isnt a fixed blade just stronger overall? Back in medieval times I think everyone carried a knife for eating. Nowadays unless ur camping/hiking/hunting hardly anyone carries one.

Pop is right, that’s a knife that looks like it’s been well-used. It doesn’t have the ring on the hilt that is used for mounting it as a bayonet but it could still be military issue. I like the black steel so it doesn’t gleam as much when light hits it. You been keeping an edge on that? It says that it’s stainless steel, maybe it’s a fake, real combat knives use carbon steel right? Stainless steel is good for moisture/rust resistance but isn’t as strong.

Barkley wants something in the mccaffrey range, 15-16M/yr, and supposedly the giants offered him 13M/yr and he turned it down. By 4pm today all franchise tagged players have to agree to longterm contract extensions else they have to play under the tag this season. Barkley might skip camp/week 1 if he has to play under the tag.
Haha yeah, old school I formation with a fullback, TE and 2 WRs, a nickel defense has no chance against that. But nfl defenses are smart, they’ll just sub in their bigger packages if theyre getting overpowered at the line. Bring in a run stopping safety or even a 4th LB if they really need to. But ur right, if u got a scrambling QB that adds a new dimension that didn’t really exist in the power offenses of the 80s and 90s.

Deandre to the Titans, who are trying to make up for the bonehead AJ Brown trade that gutted the Titans offense and cost the general manager his job, is a dumb move. Deandre had a grade 3 complete tear of the MCL in 2021. Last year he shut it down at the end of the season because the knee was flaring up.
He is 31 and I don’t think he will last the season due to injury. The wide receiver who loses that little extra burst that makes him special, is then just an average guy. Overpaying old, injury prone receivers is an accident waiting to happen. Teams seem to always gamble big on old players hoping they can somehow find the magical fountain of youth and become that young star again. Hope is not a plan.
Everything before the season starts is pure speculation and anything can happen but gambling on a badly inured player, usually when an injury that is a grade 3 you are talking about other damage besides the the complete tear of one ligament, it’s not going to work out.
When a 31 year old receiver who has suffered that kind of terrible jury, comes back the next year, plays part of the season and has to shut it down the final two games because the knee is “flaring up”, looks like a desperation move. People do dumb things when they are desperate. Give me the Jags in that division.

thats one thing i dont like about the folding knife is it has to have some kind of locking mechanism in it and to me thats the weakest point
a fixed blade would be stronger for sure baba but like you said you would look like corcodile dundee walking around with one on your hip
i think barkley is one of the top back in the league but the market for rb is bone dry right
i think nyg needs him biggly to keep the d.jones train on track and he is a big part of their offense
yeah, the i formation isnt too hard to figure out and if you have a run stopper (d.james for the dolts comes to mind) in the secondary you have it covered
i agree buckeye that nux going to the titans could be kind of a reach, like you said the diference between the top guys is usually a step or two and once you lose that you are just mediocre
so whats the talk in cle about d.watson? can this be his get right year
/on and off the field

Something to remember about Watson is that he is fourth ALL TIME in passing completion percentage! The Cleveland Browns have the top rated offensive line, the Browns have the #1 rated running back and what is really a Pro Bowl quarterback.
The defensive roster has had some big upgrades and Jim Schwartz is a Super Bowl winning defensive coach.
Watson is getting raves at the Browns camp. The Browns are real. But they are the Browns and disaster is always lurking around the corner.
If they can dodge the Browns curse then they will be a tough team to beat.

The only thing that troubles me is Stefanski. I know he has an AFC coach of year award but the last two years he has done a bunch of head scratchers. I think there is enough top talent on the team to win in spite of him.

The Browns have had rotten luck for a long time. They are due for good luck and some breaks. Every team, every year needs a few things to go their way, a couple of lucky breaks. The Browns are long over due for some lucky breaks. They get those, look out.

The Browns run defense last year was putrid so they put some real money and draft capital on the defensive line. They got Zadarius Smith who had ten sacks last year to help all world Myles Garrett have fewer double teams. They signed a big defensive tackle free agent from the Vikings Dalvin Tomlinson to help stuff the run.

They drafted Siaki Ika out of Baylor, a 6’4”, 358 lbs. tackle in the third round to help defend the run. With Jim Schwartz calling the shots and the new talent brought in, I think the D line went from a weakness to a strength. The linebackers and D backs will need to improve, scheme and coaching should improve those areas as well.

I think the talent at those positions is decent but I’d need to study those areas more. Depending a lot on coaching calling a good game, putting players in the right position, the D line forcing offenses to hurry and force errors to help the middle and back end of the defense. This defense is being built exactly the same way the Eagles built their defense.

One more note on the offense. They drafted WR Cedric Tillman from Tennessee in the third round. He was considered to be a first round pick going into last season but he hurt his ankle and he missed nine games. His draft stock dropped and the Browns stole him in the third round. I watched him play two games at Tennessee in his breakout season. The first game I watched him play I asked my buddy, who the fuck is that guy? Wow! After the second game I thought Pro number one receiver caliber. He is for real too. Sleep on the Browns at your peril.

If he pans out it will be Amari Cooper’s last season with the Browns. That is unless Watson and Amari click. Dollars may be the issue with Amari, his cap hit next year is big and you have a promising receiver on a rookie contract. We all know how that goes.

The media is about as shameful of an organization that exists so most people with common sense ignores most of the media completely. The Browns fans are long suffering so they honestly don’t give a shit what the media thinks. As long as the The Dawgs win they are behind them. Most people see football as entertainment and as long as they are entertained, their team is winning, it’s all good.

I think after Ray Lewis was let go after being involved in a murder, football fans have a short memory. I look at Watson as a guy who wants to get his dick sucked often and likes a little massage with it. The issue is was he too aggressive with his desire to get his dick sucked or did some gold diggers want to cash in? Probably somewhere in the middle.

Also people have become desensitized to most abberant behavior. After all we go around all over the world instigating or outright starting wars and murdering hundreds of thousands of people for oil and control. People go about their business like nothing is going on. So fans come off their high horses pretty quickly and get back to rooting for their team. Winning is the ultimate medicine. It seems to cure everything.

The only real stumbling block for Watson is getting his confidence and self esteem back. Of course he was the one who behaved the way he did or do we create humans who sometimes behave in ways most people abhor? What happens to the mind of a person who is treated like a God since the seventh grade? A person treated like that could think that they can do no wrong, that the rules for everybody else doesn’t apply to them and they can do pretty much whatever they want. People are created by their environment and how they are treated. Us mere mortals can’t imagine the monstrous ego boost you get when you are treated like you are a god and are worshipped.

It’s easy to stand off to the side in our purity and harshly judge another person. I’m too old for that shit. I’ve seen too much and experienced too much to not be understanding, forgiving and willing to give a guy a second chance. I know Watson brought the hatred and scorn nationally from the holier than thou crowd on himself. That monstrous ego I was talking about got kicked around all over the country, shamed, humiliated and embarrassed. It’s not easy to get up off the mat after you’ve had your ass kicked around daily for months on end.

I think Watson is going to struggle mentally for the rest of his life. He is now a person who was once idolized, put up on a pedestal and worshipped, to a guy who is looked at with scorn and derision. To go from a worshipful god to a hated scum bag is not something you can casually put behind you. It’s going to be right in front of him every game. People yelling shit at him, holding up signs deriding him and making fun of him. Away games? Look out!

So this will never be behind him and he will have to deal with it on a daily basis. It will be his biggest battle and the hardest one with which to deal. Besides his sexual proclivities he has always been thought of as a good guy loved by teammates and coaches. So for a guy who is deep down a good guy to now be looked at as a total piece of shit, that is going to an ongoing battle and a foe that will be tough to conquer.

If what the media says or thinks matters to you then right now they are in awe at the way he is slinging it. Dropping 50 yard bombs right into guys hands while in stride. Hitting all the passes, all over the field with ease. His teammates are very supportive and seem to really like him.

Again people seem to forget just how good he was. When he was at his top level he was as good as Mahomes , Rodgers, Burrow. Can he get back to that level? A bunch of AFC teams hope not. With best offensive line in the league and the best running back in the league, he has a lot to work with.

Teams have to gear up to stop the Browns run game. Chubb was busting everybody up with teams loaded up to stop him because the Browns had no passing game and they couldn’t do it. Now they have to worry if Watson is going to pull it in on an RPO and take off for 40 yards or step back and fire a rope 30 yards down the field. Should be fun to watch and a nightmare to defend.

Yeah, Hopkins signed a 2 yr deal for 15M/yr with Tennessee, which I thought was kind of an underpay for someone who was the best receiver in football 3-4 yrs ago. Supposedly the patriots were interested in him too, and I thought it was a mistake for an offense-hungry team to pass on a #1 WR for a very reasonable contract, but you make some good points that he’s been having knee issues the last 2 years. I saw him play a bit last year, after he came back from the PED suspension (10 games he missed?) and he didn’t look like he got much separation but the catching ability was still there. We’ll see what he’s able to do with the titans, when they traded for julio jones that didn’t work out for them either, and like u said trading AJ brown who had a top 5 season with the eagles was a bad look also.

Yeah I guess that’s the thing, how much do you want to carry while hiking. A light backpack with a water bladder, some trail mix or a granola bar, a small knife, a flashlight, a map, maybe matches and a couple joints? What’s ur hiking EDC, Pops?

I was surprised to find that the O/U for browns wins this year was 9.5. They had 7 wins last year, and went 4-3 down the stretch. Im familiar with Z-Smith from his time with the packers and then the vikings last year. If they beefed up the D-line then maybe myles garrett is a low key DPOY candidate, maybe I should throw a bet on him.
But like Pop said, it’s all about how D-Wat does this year. Does he have a 40 td season in him? Probably, if he’s healthy all season and if you include rushing (5 tds).

Buckeye has a pretty reasonable take on him too. Like he’s definitely a borderline creep, trying to get all these instagram masseuses to suck him off, but also there’s a lot of financial incentive for these ladies to exaggerate how offended they were. His salary (40+M/yr) is public knowledge and I feel like ur seeing a lot more of that, people who were offended or wronged now wanting a bunch of $ to make themselves whole. Some ex-northwestern players hired a lawyer, ben crump, who does a lot of police brutality lawsuits, to represent them against NU for their sexual hazing claims. Victims are looking at offenders with deep pockets and thinking hmmm how do I get some of that?

He's also right in saying that D-wat is going to have the best run game he’s ever had in his career, you put 8 in the box to stop Chubb and Dwat can work the pocket and uncork a deep pass over the safety’s head. Maybe the browns stadium will no longer be known as the ‘Factory of Sadness’ this year.

fwiw, i thought a lot of the d.wats thing was a money grab but he brought it all upon himself
playing stupid game
but rub-n-tugs are so last year!
right now the big no no in football seems to be gambling!
we are seeing guys get dinged hard for placing a few bets while the nfl is now sponsored by gamblor himself
but there is redemption at the end of the road if you are sincere
a lot of players have come back from much worse
/m.vick comes to mind
but im all for him and hope he cn get his shit in order, he has a good arm and can move but its one thing to sling rockets in practice and another to put up the numbers in the real season
i think the browns could go 9-8 if things work out so im not about the over
but you never know
i like my crkt tanto para frame flipper
i like it because it has this super low profile but plenty blade for a basic hiking knife/ edc
/im not batoning logs with this thing but it gets the job done
i dont bring too much food with me on most hikes but sometimes i like to bring those baby carrots! they are good to nibble on and easy to carry
with the summer heat im bring a lot more water lately but im more of a hydrate before kind of guy so i like to run light

that sux hawk!
you made the rouladen in a pan? i always thought it was a baked dish
what were you simmering it in? just the beef juices or did you throw in some wine or something like that
this is wwhere a mushroom gravy would come in handy, it would cover the burn spots but it still sounds pretty ginding!
i like a good char on my meat
