im going with mcvey but granted he has to have decent team to start with and the rams have been going all in the last few years so now its time to reap what we sowed, but i think they could come back in a few years
...
so i just left the computer to mess around and lost my last post
it had stuff about if you switched team and put mc.v on the 9ers how would they look right now
i aslo threw something out about andy reid, like who would be the better choice among the three?

f'n interwebs! im going to smoke some mexi brick weed

hey guys!this wasnt normal mexi brick.we had some of the best brick in the country in the 2000s.i have no idea waht brick weed was actually like in the 70s or 80s and ive heard stories.when i fisrst started smoking heavy my dad was getting Puna and other wierd great weed ive never seen or heard of since.it must of been some of the last lemon thai stick or whatever it was.it looked just like the thai stick in cheech and chongs nice dreams but it was a golden yellow.just because my dad cant grow good weed doesnt mean he cant get it.they were fucking with the cartels back then.getting fronted 10 20 pounds every month.those days are over and the weed we do get sucks compared to the earlier years.wish i had a comera back then.back then they were young trying to make the money.at 1 point they were making $90 grand back in the 90s.they didnt sell what they grew.some times it wasnt bad.just not as profitable.

about 20 years ago we were getting pounds shaped like disks so we called them hockey pucks.3 inches thick and it was a pound each.craziest tape job on a pound ever.if youve ever gotten it from a smuggling source your gonna see different ways of bricking them.any way we called them hockey pucks.dont know what kind of compressor can make perfect cirlces though.anyway this shit was so well packed with shipping tape or whatever the fuck it was,we had to put the whole pound in the microwave on 12 second intervals.i know thats wrong but is was hard as fuck to open.anyway we sold it for $1200 a pound back in the day and people liked it.yeah times sure have changed.not me though.im drunk on jim beam and natty ice

I like Mcvay’s enthusiasm for the job, it's a grind but he brings the energy every week. The rams had terrible injury luck last year and with no viable backup things fell apart hard after stafford went down, and even more so when kupp when down. Positive regression (it’s hard to have that bad of an injury streak for 2 years in a row) means things should be better this season, but like u said the lack of draft capital may be catching up to them. The coach and GM have to prove their worth by developing cheap talent into viable starters. At least next year the rams will have a 1st round pick for the first time in like 8 years, so if they do suck again at least they’ll get rewarded for it. Lions last year got the #6 overall pick from the rams because of the stafford trade.

Andy reid is just as much of an offensive genius as mcvay/shanahan, his big problem with the eagles was his clock management, he wouldn’t call timeouts during 2 minute drills, and waste timeouts earlier in games and not have any for end of game drives. Having the best QB in the league solves a lot of those problems though, plus it seems like he’s learned, nowadays when they lose clock management usually wasn’t a big factor.

Hehe, wish I could have hung out with ur fam back in the day, Hawk, if they were getting high quality bud from overseas. When I first started growing I wanted to grow landrace sativas, made the mistake of trying to grow a thai sativa in my closet and damn if that thing kept flowering for like 5 months with no signs of finishing before I finally had to chop it down. Thing was huge but the buds were just fluff and not really usable at all.

If the bud came in unusual shapes it might be due to how they were smuggled into the country. I heard of this one mexican dude who got caught smuggling hundreds of lbs of bud inside water heaters, so I imagine those were round shaped, but not nearly as small as ur hockey pucks.
So we was at the costco this week and looked for the birria and barbacoa, didn’t find either but they did have these frozen birria tacos. 16 pieces for about $16, but they didn’t look all that great so didn’t get them. They didn’t even have the consomme to dip it in. The salsa and lime wedges on the box are just for show, they don’t come with it.

those tacos dont look that bad, but nothing like pictured on the box
are you supposed to deep fry them to get them all crispy as pictured?
i like getting the taquitos/flautas from costco for a quick and easy snack/ meal
yuo can just throw them into the toaster oven and like 15m later you have some crunch
i like the energy mc.v brings to the rams
ive seen footage of andy reid in the locker room and he has that same sort of fun dad kind of vibe
thats a good point about how if we stink it up at least we will get a decent spot in the draft
/we are most likely going to be in the qb market in the next few seasons
you are rigth about how injuries kind of pulled the rug out from the rams and i can only hope the team can stay healthy
ive had decent mex back in the day, remember i live in san diego and we get that shit fresh
orange bud was one of my favorites, it smelled just like oranges and has a nice bright color
we would also get the super compressed bricks that smelled like fuel
i dont think it was from the weed but more hot it was smuggled in
one of the cool things about back in the day was you could get weed from all over the world and it was always something different
plus the cali homegrown was always top notch

It said on the box you could oven bake them or air fry or pan fry them.
I tried the Jose Ole taquitos from sams club but they were pretty bad, like cat food taquitos, if the costco brand is better quality I’d like to try them out.

It’s all about the QB nowadays in the nfl, even a team with good talent everywhere else like San Fran needs a decent QB like Jimmy G to steer the offense. Rams could get by with a backup QB for a game or 2 but not half a season like last year. I’d like to see stetson bennett get some game reps this year but if stafford is healthy then youre only going to see him in blowouts and preseason. He was a winner with that loaded Georgia offense but people were negging on his pro prospects but if purdy could look good piloting the niners offense I think bennett could do the same.

I didn’t know there was mexican bud that smelled like oranges, makes me wonder if it was used to create the tangerine and grapefruit strains we have today. Or maybe it was packed in citrus fruits when it was brought over, like the fuel smelling ones?
The fuel smelling bud seems sketch to me, im pretty sure youre not supposed to smoke anything with gas/diesel on it lol but maybe it was just trace amounts? Plus if it was affecting ur lungs negatively you would have been able to tell and noped out.

Back 10-20 years ago the commercial fairly high quality outdoor bud we’d get around here we called ‘beasters’, because supposedly it came from British Columbia, Canada. But I wouldn’t be surprised if most of it came from the states, CO and CA, where medicinal/recreational grows were tolerated. It usually wasn’t that compressed and gave a good high.

if it smelled like gas or diesel its probably cause the mexicans were smuggling it in gas and diesel tank.ive seen them smuggle shit in places you wouldnt believe.
i remember beasters.usually wasnt dried and probably went through the tumbler to collect the kief.was still $250 an ounce back when ounces of the AAA were going for $400 to $500.it was a great time to be a dealer but not a smoker

it wasnt soaked in fuel but had this smell to it, but it was strongsmoke and the bricks were cheap
i was that guy who would walk away from a deal if i dident like what i saw
often time i would grab a zip or two just to make it worth while, but i would turn down bud if it was too seedy, stemmy or i just dident like what i saw/ smelled
/if it was good i would buy more
i would save the seeds from the better stuff and plant them; it was always better when you grew it yourself and i found all kinds of crazy smoke growing out that old mex
i remember beasters/ bc bud and it was pretty good at one point
every now and then a friend would come through with pine cones of this super fresh bud from up north
it was good
this will be an interesting season for the rams and im already hearing talk of tanking the season to rebuild for the future
one rumor floating around is shopping a.don around and seeing if we can get a haul for him in a trade
im not a fan of trading away one of the best nfl players to ever play the game but i can see the reasoning behind such talk
plus there was talk of a.don retiring in the next few years so it would make sense to shift him if we could get some serious value for him
even if he plays out another contract its going to be all the $$$ so he dosent come cheap

Yeah, even nowadays I think fake gas tanks are a common way to smuggle stuff in vehicles, like u make a fake compartment inside the gas/diesel tank and pack it full of contraband.
It’s funny how there’s a diesel strain/lineage that is popular (sour diesel 10-15 yrs ago), but it might have derived from trying to reproduce that smell of smuggled weed, which isnt exactly something you want in stuff youre trying to smoke lol.

Yeah the beasters definitely wasn’t as crystally as indoor home grown, Hawk. At 250/oz you could still sell it for 60/eighth and double ur money ($480 revenue on $250 cost of goods). Doesn’t sound like AAA you could make much money, if it was going for 60/eighth. Did you have to sell it for 90-100/eighth?
Back then gold was only like 300/oz, so AAA was technically more expensive than gold.

That’s actually next level thinking, Pop, growing out seeds of mexi-brick. With better growing and no harsh handling/shipping, I bet some of that was as good as any modern seed company genetics.

Either of u guys smoke any real Acapulco Gold? I hear that was a pretty famous mexi import back in the 60s and 70s, real landrace sativa type high, but sounds like .

A good 1 or 2 year tank is a sensible model to rebuild a team, bears had a terrible season and hopefully it pays off for them soon. Trading aaron donald could work out, if a team is able to take on his contract and give up some nice picks for him (a 1st and a 3rd, maybe more if theyre desperate enough). And like u said Pops, get some value for him now before he retires with his giant pile of money.

Deandre hopkins and dalvin cook havent signed with anyone yet, maybe they hope to skip most of training camp before signing?

i hear miami has made an offer but he isnt signing just yet
it looks like he might be holding out the $$$ and im not sure if mia will cough it up to get him
mia is a playoff team all the way and seems like a great team to play for
add in the fla lifestyle and it sound like a no brainer
im not hearing about about hopkins, he talks about playing as long as he can post 1000yrd seasons which he has not done in a couple year (?)
i doubt it was acapulco gold but ive golden weed from mexico, ive also had really dark red weed
these nugs were like balls of clay back when almost all weed was grown outdoors, super dense and had this nice deep earthy taste
you are totally right about how growing the mexi bag seed produced some nice smoke
on plant i found smelled like garlic and cat piss, we called it the stank
i used to get bud from hawaii occasionally too
a friend had a brother who would import exotic treats from the islands
he was older than us but still pretty cool, he had a sweet car and hot girlfriend and got all the best waves
yeah, we totally looked up to this guy

Hmm, wonder why dalvin hasn’t accepted if miami made an offer already. He’s from the area, went to college in florida too so im sure he wouldn’t mind being back home. Maybe he wants a better offer, like u said before, some RB gets injured in camp they’ll be on the phone with him in 5 minutes.
I think pro athletes in general like florida, there’s no state income taxes and like u said the warm weather and hip atmosphere make it appealing.

Garlic and cat piss weed, man if you had made seeds of it I bet you could have sold it for $100 a ten pack on this site, lol. Strange that some pretty rank smells are much desired in cannabis, but when the flower in general smells skunky then I guess enthusiasts look for special levels of stank, using ur words.

I bet hawaii does have some pretty special strains, it’s pretty much warm year round so you can go ham on the landrace sativas. You think u could live on a tropical island, Pops? I think I would need 4 seasons, I actually don’t mind the cold weather, well at least cool weather I enjoy, even I get sick of the freezing cold after a month or so but I don’t think I would like year round hot.

your crazy baba.i hate the cold so much.but i guess i hate the heat too.theres gotta be a happy medium somewhere.i swear if i was rich id like to go somewhere like Savanah GA.beutiful place..im sure theres some nice places in Cali and the PNW.im too po though.
ive grown out hundreds of mexi brickweed seeds.usually it was a sativa/indica hybrid.the past few decades i think mexico was using dutch genetics cause they found out indicas are faster and easier to grow.at least thats what i heard.doubt ive smoked acopulco gold but ive smoked stuff you just dont see anymore.i dont know why.its just gone.maybe its cause i was younger but i would get so high it was embarassing.but no matter what, all the older guys would say the best is from hawaii.something to do with that volcanic soil.like i said just what ive heard.i take everything with a grain of salt these days

you are right hawk, now i think mex weed is mostly hybrid to some degree from the influx of foreign genetics and the ease of growth
but the real treasures are in their old school land races like the ones from oaxaca or other growing sweet spots
these had personality and it true! the more you smoked the higher you got
foo on your four seasons and i can do without freezing temp for almost half the year
you get four seasons in the tropics. mediterranean climates too, its just that they are more subtle
/hoodie, long sleeve. t-shirt and going bare!
you are right about how cook is from the area and he seems like a great fit for mia
plus they are a playoff team and everyone wants to play for a winner! im curious too about him not taking the deal
i dont have the numbers but i think he is going to need to reestablish his value from this point on, take a short term contract and ball out then renegotiated for more if he can get it
but rb is not the hot spot right now and i think he would be a fool to turn miami down unless he is talking with another team

Yeah Hawk, I hear ya, it’s not fun when it’s below freezing for 2 months straight. How warm do u keep ur house? I wish I had the old school radiator heating, you could keep ur house at like 75 all winter long for $100/mth. Well, maybe more now with inflation, but to keep ur house that warm with forced air heating would cost like 3x as much.

I think ur right on Savannah GA being a really cool place to live, it’s in the south, on the ocean (atlanta is a bigger city but it’s inland) so you have the advantage of warm weather and being on the water, with probably less hurricanes than florida.

Volcanic soil is well known for being nutrient rich, the woman has a friend who has a son who lives in hawaii, supposedly he lives off the grid and is like a hippy type dude, I imagine he’s way into cannabis. Don nelson, the former NBA coach, lives in hawaii too, he grew his hair out and openly admits he smokes a lot of herb lol. Woody harrelson and willie nelson are known to have homes in hawaii too, I guess when theyre not working that’s where they go to chill and get blazed. Which is funny cause I don’t think recreational weed is legal in hawaii, only medicinal, but i guess it’s very tolerated/police havent really enforced the illegality of it.

I could see why cartel growers switched to hybrids, as long as theyre able to tolerate the heat the much shorter flowering time is better for their profit margin. Could get 2 harvests in the time it takes to get 1 harvest of a landrace sativa. Still, if a producer could grow landrace sativa’s again I think the market would much appreciate it and would pay for the increased production cost. Like how people will pay for A5 wagyu, not everyone can afford to or want to pay $100/lb for steak but there is enough of a market for it to make it worthwhile for a niche producer.

Yeah Pops it must be nice to only need a hoodie during your coldest weather. Plenty of midwesterners are snowbirds, flee to FL or AZ when the temps drop. Something to think about. Northerners like to think the cold makes us tougher. Or something, lol. At least it gives you an excuse to drink, yknow, to keep you ‘warm’.

Cook to miami makes too much sense not to happen, but maybe they’re lowballing him and he wants to skip the BS of training camp (2 a day practices, full tackle practices, conditioning tests, etc). We’ll see, like u said the Fins look like they could make a deep playoff run but $$ is also important, especially for a 27 yr old RB who’s looking at being out of the league in 3-4 yrs, gotta build up that nest egg before the game retires you.
If you were him, would u rather have a superbowl ring and 6M dollars over the next 3 yrs or no ring and 18M over 3 yrs? Assuming you’ve got about 12M in the bank already (he’s earned 32M total so far, that’s 22M after taxes, lets assume he spent 10M buying his dream house and cars and taking care of his family).

the problem with the cartel grows are they are basically wild weed or bush farm grown with no real care
maybe they will go through early in the season and try to catch as many of the males they can but its not like they are taking good care of their crops like a craft grower in el norte
these guys are strictly commercial growers and are most likely just growing for the weight
/plus they treat the weed like shit after harvest so it just goes downhill form there
hahah, thats a great question baba, would i take the ring or the money?
of course im going to say the ring but i would have signed to a short term deal that i could renegotiate in the next season hopefully
so i did a quick search just to put some numbers on the page and it looks like mia might be offering 5m/season while cook is looking for closer to 10m!
thats quite a ways apart
how would you feel about a 18m/3y deal (we could sweeten it up with some incentives in sure, especially performance bonus so it rounds out to the mid-high 20s if he plays well) and a chance at a ring
/i dont think mia will win the sb this year but it would be a fun run and you never know what could happen
i just dont think the rb market is that hot right now

Yeah I figured if brickweed is seedy that theyre not even culling males, or at least not all of the males. I guess decent brickweed doesnt have too many seeds. Have you ever had good smoke that was full of seeds?
But even with these big guerilla grows, don’t they have a few full time caretakers/guards watching them? Like in the cartel grows in US national parks, they have a few guys camping out there for months watching the plants, setting up rudimentary irrigation, fertilizing them etc. I figure it’s easy peasy for them to go through and cull males when plants start flowering, if youre going to all the trouble of growing and some basic maintenance why get lazy when chopping down males is relatively simple?

Dalvin cook yards per carry has been trending down the last couple of years, im not sure he’ll get anywhere close to 10M/yr, not in today’s RB market like u mentioned. But he’s still owed 4M from minnesota (2M this yr and 2M next yr) so even if he sits on his azz all season he’ll get some paychecks.
Throwing in a good amount of incentives is a good idea to sweeten the offer, make it performance based. Problem is they have 2-3 decent RBs on the roster so if he’s getting like 8 carries a game he wont hit any performance metrics unless theyre really low.

Miami currently has an O/U of 9.5 wins this season, you think they win at least 10 out of 17 games? For comparison buffalo has an O/U of 10.5 wins and KC O/U of 11.5 wins. The Detroit lions of all teams have an O/U of 9.5 wins. Chargers are also 9.5 and Rams are 6.5. What would you take on all of these teams right now? Maybe ill parlay them for x20 odds, lol.

ive had some good seeded weed back in the day but its all relative and sometimes the best smoke it whats burning in front of you
plus no one whats to be cleaning a bunch of weed, plus if you dont use the seeds its lost weight
i dont think the mexican growers care as much as a craft grower and probably do just the bare minimum to get their crop finished
from what i hear a lot of them are just illegals that the cartels drop off in the woods with a bunch of seeds and a pack of tortillas and tell them they will be back in 6months for the weed
these grows are f'd up and often leave piles of trash and polluted streams in addition to the hazard they pose to hikers or anyone else who enjoys the back country
i dont see mia reaching for cook but he would be a nice add to the roster
its just that outside of a top few players the rb market is ice cold right now and its not a position i would want to tie up that much cap space on unless you are tlaking about one of the super stars in the league
chargers= 10 wins at least so i like that line
i think kc wind the division so i guess that meant the can win at least 11-12
i would be happy to see the rams win 7 games this season but we will have to wait and see
/im going under on this one
i think buf can win 11 games and mia can cover with 10
i will have to revisit this in the next few weeks but i feel strongly about the rams under and the chargers over so i dont see that changing

Haha, ur right, if it tastes ok and ur getting high, all u need is to smoke more if you need to blast off into outer space.
Do half of all seeds sprout into males? You would think commercial growers would cull males just so half the dang harvest isnt unsellable plants.
I wonder if there’s any stories from cartel growers, books or magazines. Id like to read how it generally goes. Sounds pretty messed up to be dumped somewhere with just basic supplies and rudimentary knowledge. A competently run business would at least have a foreman or someone who knows what theyre doing in charge.

Alright, ur picks make sense to me, ill have to think about it and see what parlays I make.

I read today that supposedly the rams tried to trade stafford away early this offseason. He had like 59M coming due to him (2023 option bonus and 2024 salary) and if a team was willing to pick up those guarantees they would have traded him away.
Not sure if I believe this, this was in march before the draft so if they trade him away are they tanking the season? But I guess u said they might be interested in tanking, start off next year with a clean salary cap and all the draft picks.

i can believe the rams would have tried to move stafford but its hard to say
he is what they built the system around but i could see another qb filling that spot for less than half of what we owe $tafford and getting the same results
7-10? 6-11
but thats what it cost to win a ring and the rams got what they wanted in the short term
ive jsut heard stories about the norcal/pnw where the cartels grow
they dont gaf and just pollute the area and leave behind big pile of trash
this dosent make sense because if its a good spot you would want to grow thre at leat one more season but hey these are cartels we are talking about
so now im hearing cook may be in talks with the nyj's
this is another good spot for him considering the jets landing a.rog and have a good core to build aound, but it could just be the rumor mill churning up dust

At first I thought u were cray-cray for thinking you could get stafford results with a much cheaper QB, but then I checked and saw he had a 3-6 record last season before finally being shut down. Yeah, that’s like a 6 win team, and any decent backup QB (andy dalton, baker, mariota, maybe even trubisky) could ‘lead’ a bad/injured team to a 6-11 record.

I still think if he’s healthy he’s as good a gunslinger as anyone in the game, but he’s had elbow and neck/spine issues the last couple years so maybe he’s lost some juice on his throws. We’ll see how he looks when the season starts, mcvay rarely plays important starters in preseason so maybe we’ll get a long look at stetson first.

Ive heard stories like that, yeah living in the bush for months on end ur going to generate a lot of trash and these guys don’t care to bury it properly or carry it out of the woods. Id still be interested in reading any stories on large scale guerilla grows, like how do they do it? Growing a bunch of plants when you have access to running water and power is hard enough but to do it in the middle of nowhere?

Maybe cook’s agent is trying to play off the divisional rivals against each other, try to get a bidding war if possible between the jets and dolphins. Jets have a stud RB, Breece hall, but he’s coming off an acl and may not be 100% till mid season so dalvin could carry the load till then.

hahahha, oh yeah baba you know im totally cray cray with my taeks and im just getting started
/wait till i resume the micro dosing
you are right and i think the d.cook thing is a ploy to get eh dolphins to reach for cook, but who knows
like you said nyj have a pretty solis team in place and with the add of a.rog i think they could be a contender
they dont need to bring in an aging rb for twice the value he will produce; 9 wins could get them into the wild card round and then its all up to rodgers to win the games
buff= div winner
mia-nyj fight it out for 2nd place , but the third team could have a good enough to get them into the playoffs
/this could get spicy! is the afc.e the new hot div on the block?
$tafford won the rams a ring and he did waht he was piad to do; im not going to bad mouth him too much, but for what he is getting paid he is a huge drag on the team in some ways
if he can play 12-15 game this season and put up decent the numbers im not going to complain, but the rams o'line =??? and im not too sure about his health
plus if the rams are playing from behind you know the defense is coming for him
we will see how he holds up
gravity is your friend when growing outdoors
leave no trails and dont plant along the streams/ trails because that what normal people will follow
