rolling a good joint is a skill for sure
i can still twist up a nice fatty by hand but its nothing like some of these people im seeing now making four paper joints and stuff like that
for those i use a piece of paper to get the roll started and slip in the papers when its all finished; remember using a dollar bill to rolla joint?
thats an interesting take on the weed hawk how some popel would like too puff boof instead on hitting the good stuff
but ive seen it before where someone takes a puff of something they arent used to and gets way too hig
maybe hes just looking for a mellow buzz and likes to smoke a lot of shit
i know i like puffing just to be blwing smoke sometimes and i will sit there and burn it down
yeah, m.thomas kind of fell off big time and i wonder if he has another great season in him

i think the nfc.s could be a wild div this season and im kind of leaning on the dream boat making a comeback in tb
he has some good hands around him and i like what he is stepping into

Tbh, even if he had good genetics im not sure ur dad can grow really good outdoor the way he’s doing, not if it’s going to be seeded by wild hemp. I imagine he doesn’t visit the plot often either, maybe once a week? Can he even water it if it's a guerilla grow in the middle of a cornfield? I guess you could have some 5 gallon jugs on a wagon that you pull out there.
To grow pristine flower you really need to spend time with them everyday, checking for pests, culling deal leaves, etc. And especially make sure to cull males and prevent wild hemp from pollinating them – cant really do the latter unless in a greenhouse which isnt really outdoor growing.

You guys were never into rolling blunts? I always liked a good blunt back in the day, that tobacco wrap hit different than joint paper, u get a little tobacco buzz which i dont mind.

I couldn’t roll a joint to save my life, I was always a bowl/bong man. But I respect the process. Back in the old days a cowboy could roll a cigarette with one hand, that takes practice.

Saints still have kamara, he’s good for about 1500 scrimmage yds (rush and receive) and 10 tds a season, I remember in 2020 he had 21 total td’s (16 rush, 5 receiving), he had 6 rush td’s in week 16 vs the vikings, also 150 rush yds. He won a lot of people their fantasy championship that year.

Haha, I’d like to smoke some ur dad’s weed, see if it’s as truly bad as you say it is. Cant be any worse than some of the mexi brick ive had back in the day. One time I was at a club and I bought a dime bag out of some guy’s shoe, it was even more compressed than usual. Still got me high tho.

I could never smoke cigars without getting sick, how are you supposed to puff on it without inhaling a little bit? Never could get the hang of it.
Blunts can be hard to roll but what we’d do back in the day is buy a pack of sweeties, theyre cigars with a plastic tip at the end for your mouth. They held their shape well enough that you could roll the tobacco out of the wrapper without tearing it if you were careful. A little wetness (from water, saliva is gross) on the wrapper would help and you’d roll it between your fingers gently to let the insides fall out. Then you could pack it with well-ground weed, using a pen to help get it down. You could share it among 5-6 people and get everyone high, this wasn’t for someone smoking solo.

That’s a fat joint, Pop! U roll that yourself? Is that for you alone? And u know Pops is using that cali homegrown, not mids or brickweed...

Huh, seems like ur pops is really set in his ways, my dad was the same. Liked to watch old movies, the movies that came out when he was a kid/young adult. I guess people are the same, I like the movies and stuff that came out when I was growing up. Then again, I also like the newer stuff too. Except for some of the newer star wars movies, and indiana jones movies, I think the old stuff was better than those sequels.

I could see how the smoking/drinking routine could be pretty fun but gets old after doing it for years. $500 for a lb of brickweed doesn’t sound like a good deal but if he sold it in oz’s for $1600 that’s a nice profit. But would he smoke $500 worth (5 oz) out of every lb? Getting high off ur own supply cuts into the profit margins, sometimes heavily.

1g joints are pretty big, Pops, I couldn’t smoke that by myself. Plus it’s like wasteful, it’s burning even when you arent inhaling. But if you homegrow and you like joints then go for it, at least there’s less cleanup than with a bong.
I don’t keep up with strains anymore but seems like tropical cherry is a hybrid of some cookies genetics? I think I stopped growing when ‘girl scout cookies’ came on the scene. Trop cherry is supposed to be a heady, functional high, more sativa than indica. Is that the effect u get?

Keep working on those takes, Pops, training camps actually open up end of this month. Then next month (aug) is preseason games, also college football will be starting (I know u guys arent interested in that but it’s still football right?). Time flew by, the year is already half over…

It seems like baker will win the starting job over kyle trask, their 3rd yr QB they drafted in the 2nd rd. Im not sure he’ll be any better than what he’s shown before, he’s got a nice arm but his pocket presence is below average and his decision making is inconsistent. Theyre projected to be a bottom 5 team this year and if has a bad game or 2 he’ll probably get benched again. Buy yknow, there’s a surprising team every year so u could be right Pops. Everyone thought the Seahawks would be azz last year and they made the playoffs.

I think people are debating whether Justin Jefferson or Cooper Kupp should be the first WR drafted in fantasy football this year, what u think? I’d lean jefferson over kupp just based on QB health, kirk cousins hasn’t missed a game in years and stafford almost got paralyzed last year – im exaggerating of course but neck injuries in football are scary.

U think van jefferson could have an 800yd, 8td season for the rams? He had 800 yds and 6 tds in 2021, when he started all 17 games, but last yr because of a knee injury only started 9 games and finished with 3 tds and less than 400 yds.

That’s a good point, that not having to carry glass/plastic with you is much stealthier. Carrying some papers and a baggie with you is way less baggage than carrying a baggie and a bong, lol.

If a joint is rolled properly I guarantee you will get more hits than any other method.will a bong get you more stoned? Maybe but you could smoke a gram easily in 2 or 3 hits in a bong.
Anyway the barbacoa was alright.not really worth almost $20 plus the Pico de Gallo and tortillas.i pre-ordered them had no idea how small they were.they were like the size of $1 street tacos.ended up eat like 12vof them.topped them with cilantro lime creme.pretty good

barbacoa are one of those tacos where i dont really see them dressed up that much
maybe some guace or a touch of pico but its usually just onions and cilantro, kind of like a carne asada

Huh, I guess joints will give more hits, so useful for a group, but like u said not bigger hits than a waterpipe. For me, the bong was more efficient than a joint cause it’s not burning all the time, u make a good point that it takes a good amount of flower to make big hits. U a joint or pipe or bong man?

So the barbacoa was about $8/lb, did it have a lot of juice and not much meat? Im sure you could make a better barbacoa than that for cheaper. I guess all u need is a slow cooker or u can cook it on the stovetop or oven too. It's just a braised meat, cooked in its own liquid with some seasonings.
What’s the recipe for that cilantro lime crème? I got some cilantro and limes I need to use up soon, maybe I can make a cilantro chimichurri? What would you do, Hawk? WWHD is the question we need to ask when we're cooking. Also when a big pile of drugs is in front of us, lol.

Doing all ur rolling for the day at once sounds like an efficient use of your time, break out the bag and grinder and papers and rolling surface and in 10-15 minutes ur set for the day. Then anytime u want a smoke just grab one off the pile and step outside.
I have to be more careful with smoking cause I didn’t want the woman smelling it on me, she has a sense of smell like a shark, even blowing it out I’d make sure it was downwind of me.

If both purdy and lance are healthy, it’ll be purdy starting, I think the coaches have already said he’s the #1 if he’s healthy. But if he starts underperforming im sure they’ll quickly switch to lance, he cost them a lot of draft capital so they havent given up on him yet.

Kupp was the #1 WR in fantasy before Stafford went down last year, I had him on one of my teams and it was a contest to see if he had more receptions than justin fields had completions, at least during the first half of the season, lol. He was on pace to break michael thomas’s single season reception record, 143, he was probably going to get 155-160 before everything went to $hit.

I have hope that QB will be ok for the rams this year, like u said the O-line will be better (that many injuries last year was an outlier) and if stafford does have to miss time stetson bennett the rookie QB might be like brock purdy, kind of a noodle arm but with accuracy and quick decision making still pick up 1st downs.

but the rams offense is a lot different then the 9ers and not so plug and play
9ers are run first check down and grind it out with the D
rams were a little more high speed but if any of the pieces arent clicking it kind of throws off the whole thing

It's not that it wasn't good.i just think it was a little over priced for what is was.lots of juice.ok amount of meat. still got a lot left.gonna make at least 10 more cause the tortillas are so damn small.cilanto lime creme is super easy.im not gonna use measurements cause everyone is different.sour cream and mayo.if you can find Mexican Crema just use that.cilantro chopped,lime juice and lime zest.garlic is optional and kosher salt.mix by hand or food processor.super simple.you can mix other stuff or substitutes like Greek yogurt.

I thought the rams and niners offense had a lot of similarities, because mcvay and shanahan worked together on the redskins when mike shanahan was coaching them, but other than both running wide zone run blocking schemes it seems like ur right. Mcvay loves his 3WR formations, and kyle uses a fullback a lot more. Mcvay likes to take deep shots more often, although that might be more because of the QBs (stafford loves the long ball, which isnt jimmy g’s strength). Plus the talent disparity is a big factor, 49ers O-line is better, especially recently, and kyle Juszczyk is the best FB in the league.
Here's a hot question: who do you think is a better offensive coach/playcaller, McVay or Kyle Shanahan? As in, if you were GM of an NFL team, which of the two would you hire to run your offense?

Joints to me are like cigarettes, like u said Pops the smell sticks to your fingers and clothes especially if youre not careful where the smoke goes. Bong smells are minimal in comparison, although the bud smell from packing the bowl and ash smell from cleaning it made me wash my hands after every sesh.

I don’t think ive heard that term applied to joints, Hawk, which shows how often I smoke them lol. So canoeing is when one side of ur J burns faster than the other? Yeah, that sucks. When that happens I put the whole thing out and pack it in a bong.

Ur uncle is a badass if he smokes J’s constantly while driving. Even though weed is legal I think IL cops would still try to catch u on DUI if they smell weed on you and u look blazed. Although maybe that’s a hard case to prove unless u were driving recklessly, if they pulled u over on some minor traffic thing (pretextual stop) that probably wouldn’t count unless the cop was being a real hard ass (always a possibility).

Thx for the recipe, sounds easy enough, I don’t have any sour cream but I do have greek yogurt and mayo. Actually half my cilantro went bad lol so I just chopped it up and used it as is, made some ranchero beans and mexican rice and taco meat (ground beef) so that’s a few meals there. Next time we go to costco ill try out the birria and avoid the barbacoa.

i wouldnt say avoid the barbacoa.think it tasted and looked a lot like the birria.i would just spend my money elsewhere.like those awesome prime NY strips i picked up there.bought a bunch of pork belly cheap there too.never really made it before so im experimenting with it.its not bad.i think it needs a smoker though and i dont have one.
my family has owned a roofing company since the early 80s.they would drive all over Dupage and Cook county smoking joints while driving to the job sites.plus who knows how many pounds they hid in the truck.wasnt all salads and sun.my dad got popped a couple times. he didnt get popped this time but i remember when he got done picking garbage bags of weed and some stems broke though the bag while driving on I 88 and buds and plants are flying off the truck.got away with that. they were some of the biggest weed dealers in Dupage and Will county for a few years.but theres nothing cool about driving and smoking weed with 50 pounds in the truck.maybe back then but not now.think they only deal 5 or 7 pounds a week now.nothing like the old days.

it also comes down to the roll and the grind, i was odl scholl and we would tear it up with our hands but now days you arent worth your salt if you dont have a sweet grinder
if you get your material to a certain texture it will burn evenly unless you roll it all f'd up

you are right and on the surface both coaches are greati am a big fan of shandys (k.shananas) old man and think he might have the football gene in him but mcvey is the boy genius right now and if given the right pieces he can excel
especially if i was running a west coast style offense i would totally take mcV
but i think shananas scheme really [plays on the strengths of the 9ers, and he makes the most of what he has

As far as my family smoking I don't agree with it but have never had any accidents.better than driving drinking whiskey and coke.ive been around all that shit.amazing we are all still alive.

The uneven burn is called canoeing because the joint looks open on one side, like the top side of a canoe. The only other time ive heard of canoeing was some navy seals were getting in trouble in afghanistan, they’d desecrate the bodies of people they shot by shooting them again in the top of the head at close range, splitting open their skull so they couldn’t have an open coffin funeral; they called it ‘canoeing’ too cause the top of their head would be gashed open.

I think Pops is right, stoned drivers if anything are safer, they tend to drive slower and more carefully, like grannies. Although I guess that could be a danger too, if ur driving way slower than other cars.

Yes it’s all about getting an even grind, I guess shake makes the best joints? You can pack that stuff in tight the more powdery it is. The dispensaries will sell shake for a significant discount over whole flower, if u love joints then that’s probably a good deal. It's probably less potent than flower, but at least you dont have to grind it.

That’s probably the right answer, you cant go wrong with either mcvay or shanahan to run your offense, both will maximize the potential of your players. Neither are miracle workers though, they do need a decent QB to get good results, but you could say that for every coach.
But if you had to pick, is mcvay better for a passing game, and shanahan better for a run oriented offense? Niners ran about as much as they passed last year, a 50/50 ratio, but the rams passed more than ran, 56/44 ratio. But maybe the numbers don’t mean what I think they mean, teams that win a lot of games tend to run out the clock more, and most teams nowadays pass quite a bit more than they run, the heaviest go 60-65% pass, 40-35% run.
