I'm a diehard fan....a niner fan. I love Kap but he can't make a touch throw for his life...but he has the heart of a lion and I love him for it. I'd rather keep him but looks like trade bait fo the Cowboys now. Bless you Kap and good luck. We suck (the niners) so you are better off leaving for greener pastures. Peace from a niner faithful

zoinks!

i wouldent be one bit suprised if this plays out
im already wondering if kaep is wearing gold and red at teh end of the season and dallas needs a decent qb, (at least someone proven)

dak prescott/ kaep? running the show in the house that jerry built?
jerry never let a bit o'tude get in the way of picking up players and wiht romo down for a while...
how much do you think the 9ers would want for him?

Brock Osweiler looks season opener ready. One more preseason game with the Cowboys. Thursday night. I'm prepping already.

no way that happens, jerrah was just trying to get some cop-lives-matter support sticker added to their helmets this season and they were denied by the nfl, that's a PR nightmare than not even jerrah wants to pay to sweep under the rug. kaepernick will be playing thursday vs the bolts, if he has an electric performance(eh? eh? LOL) than I think he starts vs the rams, he won the qb battle just by letting blame gabbert play. anyways, I believe his past performance is intriguing enough to chip kelly, that kelly had probably already made up his mind as soon as he was medically cleared. I think he even tried to trade for him when he was handling gm duties in philly.

I'm thinking about going to the game, $60ea for 2nd row seats on the 40...the only thing stopping me is the fact they want $60 for a PARKING PASS...now that is highway robbery even by disneyland's standards. I'll probably just suck it up and go, me and the chick haven't gotten out much recently since we moved not too long ago. and there is the possibility that this could be kaep's last game in the red and gold...and since I went to his first nfl start vs da bears it's fitting lol I am REALLY not looking forward to watching gabbert lead my team, I don't think I could fit the toes of my shoes in between his floor and ceiling.

so now there is a pressing need in the league for 2 qb's...I bet gabbert gets dealt since kaep completely destroyed what little trade value he may have had...OR, the 9ers trade Christian Ponder to the vikes, for like a 3rd rd pick...oh, the irony. who else is even available?? I imagine the raiders are getting some calls about connor cook right about now.

Deez, good call on the back up qbs. After seeing romo go down now bridgewater every team probably over valuing their back ups with good reason and it's gonna be a challenge to get a decent back up for a reasonable price now. Mark Sanchez, josh McCown, Mike glennon, or aj McCaron names I could see trying to be traded for. Also ponder for a 3rd rd pick I want what your smoking deez I'll be surprised if he even makes a roster as. #3 qb. The main thing you have going for you when it comes to grabber is chip kelly, the dude has a knack for making terrible qbs have season best careers making them look good enough to use as trade bait. It's sorta sad we won't see a chance for kelly and Kaep to work together because it seems such a perfect match all but a year ago.

LOL I don't actually think ponder would be worth a 3rd, just a little hyperbole on my end lol. I actually like mike glennon; he's got a strange lanky look to him but I think he's starting caliber.

I think ponder could potentially end up on the 53, driskell is eligible for the practice squad; while ponder isn't. ponder has also proven he can at least start and finish nfl games. If either a) gabbert is traded(which I've been advocating for a while lol) or b) kaep gets cut than having another vet on the roster besides gabbert(if you can call him a vet?) becomes important.

I really think that even after all the smoke on kaep clears, he ends up starting week 1 for the 49ers...call it a hunch, but that's how I see it. I think the whole "qb competition" was more to showcase gabbert and increase his value; while also saving face on the reasoning behind getting your 15 million dollar man back on the field. Kaep has shown what he is capable of, as has gabbert. You have to play to win, not to not lose. It's definitely a seller's market when it comes to start worthy qb's at the moment, gabbert's value may be higher now due to necessity than it would if he had some time in the kelly offense...either way he's playing on the last year of a really cheap contract, if he plays a couple weeks his value could increase on the contract side of things as well. you lock him up now, it costs your team a 2nd or 3rd round pick and you get straight into negotiating a front loaded 3 year deal worth like 4-5mil per pay like 8 of it up front as a signing bonus and he can be cut next season for a minimal dead mpney hit.....Like I said, I been planning his departure for a while now LOL.

subrob- I bet there's no way in hell cook actually gets traded; but I'm sure there is a market for him at this point. I still say he was the best qb in this years draft...goff certainly doesn't look like luck did coming out.

Since veterans dying for kaps right to sit down keeps coming up online...let me give you this veterans view on situation:
Who gives a fuck? He ain't hurting me
I believe in respecting national anthems...all of them...if I'm at a soccer game between us and Saudi and they play the Saudi anthem I will stand and be respectful(even tho they one of the shittiest nastiest countries on the globe)..or Canada or China or Timbuktu...because it is proper and polite at sporting events
But Kap should choose his form of protest better...and his words explaining it better...cuz to me he just looks stupid...stupid as fuck...
One thing THAT PISSES me the fuck off though..are the defenders who compare him to Ali or Tommy and Carlos...he didn't do anything special...he didn't make a fuck bit of difference w his protest...it is miniscule compared to what others have done to bring racism to national awareness...not even miniscule...if he had done this two years ago maybe it might have been eye opening but he just wasted any credibility he had ..
And the biggest fuck up he did was insinuating govt only discriminates against poc...now I am not one of those 'all lives' people...I will say black white blue red and pink matters...but cmon man...
AnywYs... insignificant is the word I would use for his protest...not even a blip...but this vet fully supports his right to do it

Most of the hate on Kaepernick seems to do with the fact that the national anthem at sporting events, especially football games, is so identified with the military at this point. You have men and women from the armed forces roll out a giant flag as everyone stands for the national anthem, sometimes you have military jets do a flyover as well.
So the old school coaches think that by dissing the anthem you're dissing the military and the sacrifices they made and continue to make to defend this country, which Kaepernick wholeheartedly rejected; his protest has nothing to do with the military, in his view.
I would agree with Kaepernick, the anthem represents the country as a whole, not just the military. Not that the military is not important; if not for those willing to put their lives on the line, we'd all be speaking russian or german right now (btw, thank you for your service, subrob).

I think plenty of former and current service members are expressing their support of Kaepernicks right to sit down during the anthem. It is interesting to note that support for his actions may largely break along racial lines (like 80% of blacks support his actions, 80% of whites dont, etc).

But I think he's making his point, plenty of people are talking about his actions and what they mean. And this issue is personal for him, he had a negative experience with police when he was in college helping some black teammates move out of their house, apparently cops thought they were burglars and came up on them guns pointed; if they had freaked out or made a wrong move, it could have been one of them who got shot and killed because some cop was scared of a big black guy. And his twitter feed is full of references to discriminatory policing, so this issue has been on his mind for a while now.
It remains to be seen if other athletes join him in his protest; im thinking a few might...

Bradford to the Vikings for a 1st round draft pick..and a conditional 3rd/4th depending on performance

Eagles just made an amazing trade

So many eagles fans are happy about the bradford trade, because bradford aint that good a qb (then why did the vikings give up a 1st and 4th rounder for him?) and it helps restock their draft capital.
But seriously, you want carson wentz starting for you? He barely played in the preseason; it's going to be a bumpy ride...

The latest ESPN power poll has the niners last at 32nd overall, and the bears down there at 29th overall. Ugh.

Kaepernick's jersey is apparently a hot seller. Guess it's true, there's no such thing as bad press...

you want to know why the vikings picked up sam bradford?

Pat Shurmur-
Rams OC 2009-2011 (Bradfords OC as a rookie in 2010)

Browns HC 2011-2012(Bradford still on rookie contract in STL. Browns drop 100k to have qb's analyzed, analysis says bridewater is their guy, haslam decides instead to listen to some homeless guy and draft manziel; so the vikings end up trading up for bridgewater...oh and browns trade out of #2 spot this year which allows philly to get wentz thereby making braford dispensable)

Eagles OC 2013-2015(Bradford shows up in philly in 2014)

Vikings TE coach 2016-present(how didn't we see this coming?)

bradford seriously owes shurmur his career at this point...

It's going to take A LOT more than an obvious trade/transaction for me to declare roseman anything more than a non-football guy, calculator punching desk jockey...I would say in general he is probably one of the worst gm's in the league. imho. if anyhting this trade just kinda washes the mistake of the eagles going out and getting bradford to begin with

good take deez'
/for teh record i was a fan of bradford coming out of osu
/also thought shawn merriman was one man wrecking crew coming into nfl

the biggest takeaway is philly literally gets a reset button on next years draft

i still think min competes this season unless something happens and purple jesus (AP) can no longer walk on water

Kapernick is just a sore loser, especially when he doesn't get his way. I personally think he didn't feel like standing for the anthem because he was in a bad mood and then he had to give an answer to the media as to why he didn't stand. I don't care if he sits or stands but don't try to act like its about racism, that was just convenient for him to say in my opinion.

You think if they all sat down during the anthem racism will disappear? This will just lead to more divide and conquer bullshit. Nothing new. Same thing with the black lives matter movement, heavily funded by globalist-marxist George Soros.

a lot of people are more worked up about him sitting/kneeling than they are about the issues he's bringing up...it's a shame.

watts- it seems from your response that you just don't like kaepernick, which is totally fine...it also seems like you are also reaching a little bit to fit your narrative. just my 2cents. regardless of who's behind the scenes funding any agenda's, people are constant victims of an unjust system that is a mockery of what the stars and stripes truly represents, opening up the conversation is a good thing, it evolves into a deeper analysis/conversation regarding the militarization of local police forces, the circle jerks behind the scenes involving DA's, attorneys, and sheriffs departments collusion, and exposes the great blue wall and the the justice systems blatant disregard for accountability on a civilian standard. I agree soros is evil, but lives > agendas imho.

I'm sure all of the other people advocating for equal justice throughout the history of this country were just having a bad day too.

fyi- kaep hadn't lost anything at the time of his first protest in week 1 of the preseason, there was nothing made of his actions until after week 3...he hadn't actually "lost" anything until after the week 4 game, technically....so the "sore loser" angle really doesn't have much substance for me personally.

Oh, I thought he had lost the starting job before he started protesting. My heart goes out to victims of the unjust system.

I understand now that this is his way of bringing awareness to the problem. I wonder though, what is the end game? People talk about it and then what. All I'm seeing is more racism and divisiveness among Americans. They took down all the rebel flags in the south and that pissed a lot of whites off and then black lives movement is going strong, pissing a lot of whites off more. Then you got the gun people scared they coming for their guns. White cops murdering innocent blacks. The left-wing media says Trump supporters are white nationalist who are racist, the right-wing media says Clinton panders to black people for their vote. All I see is the same old stuff but its getting worse. We should all be uprising against the system but they got us all fighting with each other instead.
