Or you can just not use the tents screen and run vent tube out a ventilation port of the tent for a remote intake port... and have a filter there if you want it. No light will pass through that.

Exactly like that, thank you !!! :trampoline:

Explosive i get what you mean, but for example me, i have one 100mm carbon filter but is because i did stupid things i didnt even meant to buy it. I thought about using it in intake but im passive intake, i dont feel wasting more electricity on another extractor, also im afraid if it not gets enough air inside.

But think with me, comercially wise, a noob starting that dont want to spend much, like i did for example and a bunch of others, how much a company would have to gain to that peace of mind.
Its a detail and its everything is in the details, its always have been, also me as a buyer i would be very pleased because beside the filter i only have a duct with a black tshirt on both side, wich if i would use 2 intakes on the left side of the tent there would be that duct ocupying space.
For that reason and lazyness on my part to adress the thing in a way that i like, its why im running autos, stupid as it is :fartyparty:

Either way, sorry for the rant Mars.

I need to see if that really works to buy it, Alpen do you have one?

Peace :tiphat:

Nope sorry, i don't grow in a tent.
But i have read nothing bad or special about their solution as far as I remember.

Edit: I did a little research on that thing. For standard tents its great and works.
If you need them differently and have access to a 3D printer you can find solutions also.

Those are easy to build even if you good at diy. But, speaking about great ideeas.. ofc a nice tent could come with one of those, I bet they are cheap to produce and need as little as a (flexible/elastic) mesh pocket over the intake to be installed. Or could just be made to be installed in a vent opening of the tent with a clamp or something. Mars Hydro Led you should definetly look into this one. (Lightproof intake with integrated filter for your tents.)

It would be nice to see some lights where the light spectrum is more focused towards veg growth, with more blue. I'm not talking about lights that have some leds that are dimmed or other wise affected by a reduction or increase in power, but units made just for vegging plants (cannabis or veggie)

Yeah, some standardised lights for cloning or low wattage crops to replace old T8 and T5 floros fixtures would be nice.
Even led strip kind of leds work for this low light needs, so I am sure a compact and cheap and efficient way of lighting some clones can be found.

Perhaps a model/line could be made that would would be a replacement for a fluorescent light bulb for a T8 or T5 light fixture. It wouldn't need a ballast/driver as it would use the ballast that the fluorescent fixture already has.

I have seen some LED replacements for the fluorescent T8 bulbs at the hardware store.

Yes they are called retrofit leds. But I think its easier to make them standalone units. Even the lighting market has better solutions.

what I like about the T8 Led bulbs is they direct all the light in one direction, it kind of makes the reflector obsolete.

In my opinion would be cool for any grow light to show you the light intensity output as u dim it . I don't know if this is possible though but just an idea..

I'd like to see a model or additional parts, so the light system could be used along side a HID light to create a hybrid lighting system of LED and HID (The LED's add to the lighting by creating more then one point of light being generated from)

Looking at the FC series lights The light bars could be rearranged into a square that could fit around a HID light fixture, using sometthing like the L's that are used with Unistrut.

let the some (or one) of mods go through and re-number stuff before the give away is done. It a pain to post some thing and keep track of the whole thread to correctly put number on it.
