Im guessing your not up for trying the ghs "landraces" then?
Such beautiful plants! :jawdrop:
Honestly, landrace sativas are in my opinion the most photogenic plants that there are... those christmas tree shapes, purple colors, thin leaves; damn I'm so jealous right now!

Im guessing you're joking? Greenhouse seeds and landrace do not fit into the same sentence
I'm most definelty going to give them a try, If and when they are released as resonably priced Reg seeds.
If GHS executes this "Strain Hunter Seed Co." launch properly. They will have a huge % of the seed market.
It's already obv people want to grow and smoke those old landrace varieties. Within a couple of years this demand will blow up as more Countries and states legalize.A big proportion of the smokers are getting bored on all these hyped up strains and numbing highs. The Clear, energetic and pure highs of Landrace Cannabis will make a lot of smokers fall in love with the effects.
I hope GHS doesen't blow this chance up.

Fully agree with you but i just don't see that happening, firstly i highly doubt they will ever sell regular seeds, secondly im highly confident the would at least have skunk #1 or something similar hidden in the genetics for results. I don't think they realise how much power the have to win the people and critics back. They could turn themselves into a very reputable seed company if they honestly released the columbian, african, jamaican and indian strains for say about 35 gbp for 10 regular seeds. I would buy from them and spread their reputation, BUT im sure that will never happen. C'mon Franco make the other seed companies jealous like you say!.
they will not do this because they don't want other seed companies to just buy 10 packs and make their own versions, or even make fems. they see fem seeds as a way to protect their genetics from other seed makers. kinda sad really, but it does make busness sense i suppose.
how does making fem seed protect genetics?
please tell me.
after your previous statements about fem being just fine your response will be entertaining.
I don't think they will come with selection of single landrace varieties they collected, but more in the form of S1 hybrides like e.g. Big Bang x Colombian etc.
In the mean while you already can get wonderful landrace varieties via other seed companies like Ace Seeds, Cannabiogen, Astur Jaya and some others.
Keep on growing

GHS are clearly business minded, which is not a bad thing in itself, it is a problem however when money is the primary motivation, and the plant becomes simply a means to an end.
I commend them for the HD shots of the feilds, security or none, in fact I would've thought they could make quite a bit off the video footage alone seeing how rare that quality of recording is of traditional plantations.
However the seed importing is unethical and irresponsible.
I know in many places the indiginous crop will genetically "consume" the import, but why risk altering the very landraces you are going out of your way to get pure in the first place? (Especially when modern hybrids are quite notacably different in growth characteristics and effects.)
They seem to think they have an authority on cannabis that exceeds that of the 3rd world farmer, which is poppycock, any smoker who favours authentic herb would pay more for the traditional plantation over ghs weed.
They encourage sensimilla at every opportunity... "Of course we dont want seeds in our smoke, nobody does" etc. They dont want anyone making their own seeds basically, the seedbank will provide!
The first cannabis billionare lol, what a joke.
