New extraction technique? Rosin tech?

Yea lets use a bunch of pizza boxes, make a shit load of trash to make are hash with water that washes away a bunch of terps, way to go b-man, what a great idea or wait a minute it wasn't your idea. How about taking a bunch of unusable cannabis material tumbling it to make farmers grade hash and working from there...

Thats a fuckin dumb answer.

If you lived on the west coast you would show more appreciation for water hash.

If you had more experience you would know some cultivars do not lose too many terpenes to the water.

You would also know that sometimes the water washes away bad terpenes and actually makes for a nicer end product than dry sift.

Its all about which cultivar you are washing.

Ive made some 80 % THC bubble hash rosin in my basement with basic equipement, it was tested in a reputable lab. I am just a random Joe in my basement.

Thanks to bubbleman I dry my bubble hash like a champ now.

Sorry but I have very little respect for you now, who fucking cares right!?

Can't really wrap my mind around having stacks of pizza boxes about.

I dunno man, doesnt take that much room ... here is 10! Within 48 hours after Im done making my hash they are all nicely stacked... I ve just started using pizza boxes, I figure I can do a few batches re-using the same boxes... my latest bubblehash rosin was some of the best Ive made yet.

I lived in Kathmandu when sams idea and the water hash was invented, Eldon came up with the idea for bubble bags from the two screens I brought back from AMS from Sam's friends so I could learn how to make the 50% which turned into the 99.9% dry sift...

The screens were a metric 43&77 US size 110&195 lpi... I live in so cal, in one of the best places to grow cannabis...

I notice people started lining them with parchment at some point.

Aren't the insides of pizza boxes waxed?

I prefer permanent reuseable systems. I will use a clean rag over paper towels, etc. I am skeptical of anything Bubbleman does as he sells everything he advises. Not exactly impartial and he is slow to adapt to change.

I want something I can clean and put away. I am a stubborn ass with particular ways. Many times I do things a certain way not because it is the best but because it jives with me.

My new Bubbleman Trinity pen came today. The box is simple and elegant. It comes with a Trinity tank, a Bubbleman battery and a USB cable for charging. The size of the tank and battery was smaller than I expected. I also ordered a second tank.

The intention is to use Blue River terpenes with your rosin to make "terp sauce". I was buying terpenes for a while, then they stopped selling them in the US. I would have preferred to use it as intended, but am experimenting with off-label use.

Tony V. alluded that you could heat up the rosin in a hot water bath, suck it up with a syringe, then fill a tank with that. I first tried a coffee warmer and a small glass container, but I likely wasn't patient enough. I ended up putting the rosin in the back of the syringe and pushing it through with the heat from my e-nail.

The results were sloppy but successful. I have a few ideas of what to do different next time. Tony mentioned decarb, so I think that might be a good ideas. I saw lots of bubbling as I heated it up in the syringe. I also have some bud that makes super terpy rosin that I will try the next tank with.

I have several pens by UP tech. On the left is the Herculese. In the middle is the O-phos pen. Finally we have the Trinity pen on the right. Hacking it to work with rosin is a pain for filling it, but I got quite ripped last night testing it out. The form factor is good and I haven't gotten a burnt taste yet. I will use it at work today and see how it goes. Right now, if you can't get the Blue River terpenes I'm not sure if it is worth the hasstle. I'm looking forward to trying it some more.

I'm a little confused on what you're trying to do.

Rosin in a coil based vaporizer designed for wax or shatter works fine for rosin. But, if I understand correctly, you are trying to use rosin with a pen that is designed for "e-juice", a much thinner substance.

If so, there are a number of products you can buy. I use Vapeur Extract brand. It's simply a proprietary mix of the different viscosities of PGP. I mix mine 1:1 with rosin, heat it slightly according to the directions and THEN, it's thin enough to put in my pens designed for "e-juice".

I have one e-juice pen that I use in restaurants and other public places where vaping is allowed. And, it looks just like a real cigarette so outside, you wouldn't know I wasn't just smoking a cigarette (which I do, also).

It's not as strong as straight rosin (duh) but it is much easier on the throat and lungs.

All PGP adds a little 'sweetness' to your taste so it does fuck up the wonderful taste of the pure rosin but..... a little of each slice of pie for me, please. LOL

I'm not sure what I'm doing either. I am still experimenting myself. I don't want to add any VG/PG or anything, they all leave a nasty plastic taste. I've gone down that road before.

The cannabis derived terpenes (Blue River) are the recommended "solvent" but are no longer available online in the US. Not only that, but the cost is something like $75 per tank just for the terps.

I don't think it's a standard bottom coil, though it is similar in design. I haven't taken one apart yet. It does work, but loading it is a pain in the ass. It does preserve the taste better than the other two pens shown. I'm still playing with it.

You can order non cannabis derived terpenes and mix them together to get the profiles u want. That's what many of terpene companies are doing anyway.

I tried the vg/pg and didn't like it at all. I use the seego vhit for a portable, but usually use it more at night if my feet hurt. The trinty is designed for terp diluted rosin, however I think Tony had a bank problem. There are a lot of tanks out there so it will be interesting to see if this expensive to fill unit is that much better. One thing that bothers me is if you do take it with you it should be in the trunk or well out of reach of the driver, if they find it in the drivers door pocket I think it is a dui, cause even if I haven't touched it I would fail the test's they have now...

You can use MCT oil as a diluent as well. Heat oil to 160 to 180F and mix thoroughly until bubbles stop

I went through the MCT thing as well, they all made the consistency correct but they all tasted like shit. I didn't try artificial or cannabis terps , wouldn't mind some having cannabis terps to try..

I personally use holy terp unflavored and connoisseur concentrates. I also use true terpenes profile when I want to enhance flavors a bit more.

i would not be comforable vaping mct oil.

ive used ej's mix in the past (blend of PEGs) to liquify rosin for tanks but i was put off by the flavor. a friend that vapes ecig ejuice had no problem with it tho.

ive also experimented quite a bit with using terpenes to liquify rosin. any canna derived hydrosol (like from diy steam distillation) or "naturally derived 100% pure terpene" takes a pretty substantial amount to change the viscosity of the concentrate enough to liquify for tank use. blue river terpenes are fantastically delish (ive had several vials) but it would take more than one to liquify a single gram of rosin. easy for tony but i cant be throwin down that kinda cash for a vape pen cart. rather dab the good stuff.

also i noticed seperation issues with terpene dilution.

one thing ive been experimenting with is decarbing the rosin to help loosen the viscosity to prep for carts/tanks. the most successful tank i made was decarbed rosin with terpene dilution it takes much less to liquify if youre working with sap rather than taffy/sugar/shatter/ wax. only drawback is dark color so not ideal for retail.

nowadays it seems like most commertial tank companies are using distillate, which is decarbed and liquid viscosity, but retains a nice color from the processing.

ultrasonic homgonization seems like a cool tech but the equipment is too expensive for me.

also want to play with winterized rosin but havent gotten around to experimenting yet.
