New extraction technique? Rosin tech?

I think we should start a thread on designing and making a suitable dabber.

Anything that retains the residue of the previous hit is out of the question. The new dab would have to go on a fresh, clean surface for every hit.

I envision a smooth piece of material (probably glass, maybe metal) about an inch square. Mounted at about a 45 degree angle. Heated and side vented with a waterpipe setup of similar design to the GreenLightVapes G-9 H-ENAIL (only a better water setup).

This way, the smooth surface would vape the dab when it's put on it. Then after you take the nice hit, the rest is just baked on the smooth surface until it is carbon/ash and you just scrape it off for the next clean hit.

Anything like the "cup" and coil we use now is just plain bad tasting.

A self-cleaning dabber..... yep, that's what this world needs. LMAO

all pens suck. I mean thats been my experience.

same here.

i still am rocking a bare coil for portable dabs. theres some pics from last year if you look through my posts on this thread. 30 watts through a 0.3ohm kanthal coil seems to be my sweet spot.

my ideal would be a mini quartz or ceramic cup that i could wrap in resistance wire and install inside the rda. i took apart a cheapo wax atomizor for a 510 battery and salvaged the ceramic cup for a prototype, but its a bit too big to fit the mouthpiece back over. totally works tho!

I was also using the Ooze pen. At first it worked great but the glass mouth piece kept breaking. Now it seems not to work as good. Batt must not have the same power anymore.

I smoke most of my rosin as if it were hash.

I suppose if I could make hash that matched the flavour of the flower as well as rosin I would do that instead. At least for personal.

I hear freeze driers help with bubble but then also the conflicting opinion that it lessens the flavour.

Should really buy some screens.

That's more kif pressed into hash right?

Yes I believe so. Bit of a knob from Morocco.

Was going to press a dab or two for the boss. He isn't much for the hash.

why buy screens? I use no screens for flowers and I still use melitta coffee filters for hash,, wrapped in 3 layers I rarely get blowouts.

I find for bubble so far is more like strain dependent, I do have some cultivars that come through really nicely but I often make my bubble hash with all kind of trimmings and the end results is often ''generic'' in taste, I am shying away from this, now trying to group my trim in either flavor profile or high profile. Anything with CBD in one pile, and the smell and flavor is like cooking. If you mix everything you got it ends up brown... .

My Les Fleurs Bleues (high CBD blueberry plant) makes for some very nice and tasty bubble hash rosin, the blueberry muffin smell and taste carries very well into the water hash.

rosin meh...

hype
only popular bc it fits in with the 'dab' culture

gimme the pressed kief...the real shit

Rosin allows shitty extract artists like I to transform marginal product into fire, right at home, call it hype, I don't care, it's awesome and I love it.

I mean sift screens.

I tried nylon/polyester but didn't care much for it. The bags are too tight, too loose, etc. Be grand if they included an ideal puck size.

I did find a good Canadian on eBay but with little expansion I am left with a larger gap between the puck and the plate edge. A new prepress and the minimum order for custom put me off the whole idea.

Mafuckin' coffee filtres it is. Got tired of picking out bits and bobs. Wish I could find it in rolls without having to buy a box. Many many companies have horrible policy on samples.

Except that one jar company that muddled up the payment, assumed I was placing a sample order and sent me the whole lot free as balls.

I take particular pleasure visiting Asian herb/dried fruit/bulk food markets in the city. Extracting every free sample their patience can stand only for me to chirp an obscenely chipper "Thanks! Good Day!"

There are usually so many mirrors on the walls it is not hard to see them murder you with their eyes.

I'm not even sure what I'm talking about any more. Try it out with a Morgan Freeman in your head for an added twist.

I use to be with it. Then it changed. Now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I look like an angry prick (suiting) and like to pepper my language with cartoon references for contrast/confusion.

I mean sift screens.

I bought mine at Atlas Screen. I use 3 of the 20x24 screens stacked on top of each other on a glass base and it works great. Been using these screens for about 2 years and they still work great no rips or tears.

And, at 20 something bucks each, they are 1/4 of the cost of the "pollen" screens and "sift" screens.

Good service, quality product and great price. That's the kind of thing you pass along. :)

Be cautioned if you order anything that mesh size and micron size are different.

What were the three "mesh" sizes you purchased?

Yes we have a company like that over in Vancouver. I want the bloody rack cart and a wack of 25u screens for drying bubble. Wee hard to justify the cost at the moment.

And also some cheap sift screens. DSW makes a nice Cadillac set.

why the screens for drying bubble? you dont like drying the bubble ''a la bubbleman'' ? with pizza boxes, a stainless steel strainer and a spoon.
