New extraction technique? Rosin tech?

I have been tumbling and making some rosin, the lighter piece is the 3 min tumble, the darker one is 30 min tumble. I pressed it last Sunday, have left it at room temp and you can see they are marbling and turning to budder. They almost look like polished rock...

Couldn't the temp / RH be changed to what you want in a bag? I can change it to what I want using Boveda packs.. I know many use these..Only take out what your pressing ea time..

I would never use SS for plants. They are horrible for heat conduction.

Low heat works best for longer press times. I will be doing some @175-190f for a longer press time. Will see what happens.

What Temps are you guys pressing dry ice kief? I have been doing 230 for flower with great success. The kief I tried 200 and 210 so far not getting as much back as I was expecting like 25%.I am using 90 micron bags also

Been puttering around with blending different strains of flower before pressing.

I have found kushtards unknowingly prefer sativa. Or the flavour, at least. While the high is dissimilar (leading to overconsumption and typically, anxiety), the taste can linger long after the dab. By incorporating a bland indica type (the choices are many), you can give the result desired (a strong, obvious, heady stone), with the potent flavour of a memorable dab. Or water down a sharply flavoured narrow leaf to make it palatable to a wider audience (pussies).

I have converted one staunch kush grower. Hated growing or even trimming anything not hard as a rock, but grudgingly did it for variety. I pressed something he had written off on all levels, included just to get it out of his stash.

It's his new favourite strain. Walks around smacking his lips and quickly returns for a postdab dab.

I've been mucking around with rosin for a few months, on and off - mainly off as it always seems so much effort for sod all. I use hairtongs and a hand clamp and i def like the end product but not the faff for the amount. I app the amount is dependent on so many things but getting the equipment/technique right strikes me as the most important. So with that in mind and the certainty that new tongs will be needed at some point I've looked at heat presses around £100.
I'm in the UK so none of your 'fancy dan U S of A hundreds of ready made rosin presses' to choose from! There are a few models (found a new one called smashit) but they seem overpriced for what they are and seeing as I can not under any circumstances attempt to build something I'm kind of stuck with t shirt presses.
It wouldn't be used a drastic amount and i wouldn't do massive amounts so i don't see the point in getting a big old thing - hence the small budget - so with that in mind which of these would do the job best for about a weekly run (100 uses?) do you experts think?

The alibaba one looks interesting but I've no idea how much it would be for del and i can't find it for sale individually anywhere else. I can get all the others for a bit cheaper and I realise the above presses may not be the best but with my needs will they do the job well do you regular rosineteers think? Any other suggestions are very welcome and many thanks for any forthcoming help.

Sooooo...

I went & bought a hair straightener & a DeWalt 600lb hand clamp press.
I got home & spent my evening modding the press with the straightener & got out about a gram of GG#4 buds & pressed it in 1/3 g incriments to gether about 7-8 nice dabs.

I got up this morning and attempted to fire the ol HMK pistol & the heating elements aren't working.

The iron I bought was a Conair infinity pro 1in flat iron (Should have gotten the 1.5in) that claims a heat time of 15 seconds. Claimed temp range is 338-455° F. Way to hot but I was doing the power on, heat up, power off, squish method.

Now I recall reading about somebody getting a similar iron that has this SEFUSE part located next to one of the iron heating elements. (Ringo maybe) It was modded in some fashion & I don't recall how but was wondering if I could get a quick re-hash (pun intended) of what was done.

these isolate products make formulating so easy. that's the major benefit from my perspective.

def prefer dabbing rosin tho.

Yeah yeah yeah... I know... Pics or it didn't happen.
I didn't get a pic of what became of the buds though. They got used up immediately!

Edited to add:
All solder joints look excellent & there are no apparently loose wires.
I think I took my iron apart more than most.

Thinking I'm going to get another iron unless somebody may have a fix for this one.
What brand & model have been good n durable for yall?

Also,
I'm purchasing 2x4x4 6061-T6 Al plates for my DIY HF 12ton H-frame build and am wondering what wattage cartridge heaters folks are using?

My plan is for 2 heaters, evenly spaced within each plate, for more even heating across the surface. That is unless somebody comes in before I get things built & advises differently.

I read about the Cu/Ni plates that somebody was producing. Any experienced user comments on those?

I was considering purchasing some CLAD stock to work with but it's difficult to find anything I like.
