Hair straighteners are a little hot, I like to press between 180-220. Best press i have seen is Elysian research, Sunfire's i will be getting mine soon...

whats the ticket on the elysian press? I love the drip tech he's doing. are there any companies that sell the prepress and filter bags? I'd like a pre-press that is small enough to do blocks on my hmk for the time being.
packerfan- I would get beans but I just know I'd never get to em, my bean stock is already getting kinda old...I probably should start popping a few at a time at least, otherwise germ rates may be non existent when I finally do. Crappy clone delivery services dont really pique my interest haha what was it clone queen or something? I forgot we're in the same neck of the woods. The container was sold back in june and I moved in july, currently got a little 2k in the garage, with another 2k ready to be built and flipped.

Yeah I think it was clone queen. I Have never had good luck buying clones. I Have a buddy now who has a lot of nice strains. I feel you on the seedsame sitting. I have 8 packs and I just ordered a few more. I Am starting a 4k stadium. Built a shed for it .its not as fun as it used to be.this will be my first monocrop I hope the fire gets lit once they get in to flower.
A 20 ton hydraulic press with everything runs about 500$. Don't know what elysian cost is.

you're absolutely right hammer, I've never done a seed pop that I regretted doing, thats for sure. I got a ton of gear that needs to be sorted through. I think I' gonna start doing an extra 6 seed plants every run, wont get me through tons of beans per year but its definitely a start. you use STS for reversals don't you? I'm going to convert an ssh for pollenation purposes very soon.
I suppose if you oriented a standard press horizontally, you could come close to something like elysian, but I know sunfire has gone through the paces with that press and most if not all components are american made, which has to count for something. honestly that amount of production is probably a bit excessive for my current situation...but im part of the tim the toolman taylor generation ugh ugh ugh hahaha

You one a cup with that ssh right? I couldn't give a haze away but would love one for personal.
What kind of Parchment are you guys using?.. I got some Generic styff that works great. I got some other more expensive stuff that's used at bakery's that is crap. Not sure what the difference is but I cant get any Rosin to come off the bakery paper.

Parchment paper has a thin layer of silicone that coats it. Reynolds makes the kind I use. You don't want to use wax paper it will stick.
I've used Reynolds, elcheapo, RAW. Don't use thenelcheapo. Has some rosin stick at 77* ambient smoke room temp. Raw, thought it had that shiny side like the individual sized pieces...nope.

Ever try the ptfe film in rolls? Kinda..well 2x the price of raw or 3x Reynolds . l
I have only tried those above..... Now I need some info on how to separate into smaller 1 gram batches. It's like creamy peanut butter. I cant handle it without freezing it 1st.
Try repressing at a higher temp. 180 always left me with a waxy result. 225 seems about perfect.
This was presses at 210f... ....Na, I don't want to burn off anymore terps. I will just freeze and cut.

Ran a nugget of Mob boss last night at 185 and was oh so tasty. Most these ppl don't care about taste, just the high.

I used PaperChef Culinary Parchment previously but found much less bleed through with Reynold's.
Oilslick PTFE crinkled under incremental pressure, pooling rosin and making collection difficult. During collection the rosin had a tendency to pop off and fly the hell over who knows where. I tried it as a plate wrapper and the bloody shit stuck to itself on a dry run and popped the magnets upon release.
I use it for long term storage of larger paddies, performs very well there. Sticky budders especially.
But that is just my experience. I have been meaning to give it another go.
Have yet to try the foil backed parchment rolls or squares.
TerpProof looks to be stronger stuff but the squares are too small and after the fun with Oilslick I am hesitant to get the roll. C-ray appears to like it.

let the coals cherry up and drop globs right on top, I typically used a vaporizer whip to inhale the goodness, but I suppose a downstem or something simliar would also work in a pinch.
