Actinovate is best used as a preventative.

Once mildew sets there ain't much it can do for control.

However, if you've got a plant covered in PM thats ready to chop you can douse the plant w actinovate and allow the WYEC 108 strain to literally eat the PM spores away for a day.

PM on a plant I tried this with was removed. I couldn't smell or see any PM but I didn't look using a microscope either.

I'll add, the material was used for making budder.

Almost forgot...
Be careful using Boron around your plants.
It the only ion that a plant can uptake as is & a tiny amount can be toxic. It is, however, required for reproduction.

I mix Borax 50/50 w sugar in warm water and place the paste next to the ants marching lines. They'll take the poisoned food back to the nest.

Thank-you MJ...I had no idea that the plants could uptake Boric Acid. Luckily i think how i have been applying it around the plots should keep it in the clay surround.

I dig the entire GH out to 3 feet deep EVERY year and remix the good soil with extra large pearlite, worm compost, blood meal, bone meal, several types of guano, and (i forgot, have to go find my list) with fresh bags of ocean forest. After the good soil is mixed i cover it with 2-3" of the local hard pack clay and let it sit for a month or 2. I set my 2x4 frames as my grow spots. Dig the clay out of the grow spot and use the removed clay to burm up the 2x4s...this allows excess water from heavy rain to flow out and around my grow spots and not soak into the 10' x 6' x 3' deep hole i made in the hardened clay.
I only put the boric acid and DE down around the grow spots and hope that it honestly isn't soaking in after these heavy rains. The Boric Acid i literally put a ring of on top of the 2x4s.
I have been putting BA mixed with DE directly on my 2 elm trees to try to stop the elm beetles and a VERY large black ant that seems to be attacking them. I will watch that a lot closer now, but i haven't seen any signs of it causing trouble yet. Any idea of what the first signs of trouble might be?

Yeah, i have been buying bottles of H2O2 every time i get my eye-drops refilled.
I bought a 50gal tote and plan to wash all of my cuts before trimming. I planned this to eliminate the excess DE and Azamax, I hadn't heard that it reduces PM before.
I don't have any molds yet...I am looking to keep it that way.
Last year i ended up trashing 3 plants over it...I can not afford that this year. Thus i am going pro-active and not re-active.

BTW the cups you see spread around...DO NOT TOUCH...They all have Black widows in them. The number of spiders i keep as almost pets is enough to keep most people out of my grow. I just wish i could get a couple of prairie rattlers to stay put in there...That would stop every-one but me from going in. I tried several times but they just leave after a day or two. Bet my neighbors would shit if they only knew.

Careful, ever run into legal issues and the pigs will probably call that a booby trap.

Indigenous species...How can any-one prove anything else???
I use to hold a herpetology lic. through DOW but quit when i found i had cancer. The pigs have met this before with me...I am still on the outside. I know there are limits...I just like to push them.

Thus despite everything i have done...PPD still will not come out to bust my grow. Unfortunately for me their arrival could be my best option for how bad this years grow has gone...I will collect FAR more in law suites...I think they also know that???

No more ego, done with it, all I care about now is helping patients. Done fighting, done arguing, done posting pictures, done with everything but helping people.

Hey, all of you out on the Eastern plains. PLEASE let me know when you see the tarantulas start their migration. I promised to give my living mural away for Halloween, I use about a dozen for a couple of weeks, feed them up and turn them loose after all Hallows Eve. But the looks on kids faces when they see it moving is just priceless.

Ouch! I just looked up the Actinovate on ebay...$30 for 2 oz. How much does it take to feed out a late grow?

1 teaspoon per 2 gallons for soil drench OR foliar spray. 1 teaspoon=4 gram. There are 56 grams to the 2 ounce container you speak of. So that 2 ounce container will make 28 gallons.

FWIW the packet of mine that I just checked has a price tag of 21.99 on it from whichever grow store I got it from. (Maybe Grow Warehouse?)

So 28 gallons should be about 2 seasons worth???

I've only used it for one or two soil drench applications. It all depends on how often you are going to be spraying or using it.

You can wash plants that are badly affected by PM with a H2O2(hydrogen peroxide) and water bath.
Ran into a grower a couple months ago who did this. They had PM pretty bad, did the whole h2o2 in water soak bit, said the mold just floats to the top when you kick the container. I was skeptical, but I have to admit I could barely, barely detect a back hint of mold. Wasn't unpleasant, compared to most dispensary junk. I recommend it, for sure.

The aza won't come off though. Cannabis sucks that up pretty dang good, through the roots and outer cells of the plant. Personally, I'll only use aza products on mums. Nasty.

Agreed, Aza has almost as long a half life in the plant as a lot of the actual nasty chems.
I've root drenched, first day of flower on 70 day strains. 3ml/gallon
Sprayed 1st day of flower and another set at 2 weeks into flower. 3-5ml/gallon. All contaminated. Anyone sensitive to aza was aware it was still in the plants, within the first bowl from any of them.

How many of you use aza and have nausea every morning?
