Heh, what an interesting time for me to visit this thread again. The seed and money talk...

I just started some vintage Afghans that someone in the industry was trying to sell cuts of for 6-8 grand, and he labeled it Roadkill Skunk.

They're babies right now. Only started 5 and still have 7 seeds left. So far they're looking promising, very fat leaves in the usual Afghan way.

I hope I find that skunky stinky afghan I used to smoke back in the day :tiphat:

Oh yeah, it is the real deal. I know that cut was getting sold as and labeled as RKS and also these same seeds went for auction at over 1000 at one point.

Which means I should probably keep a male or two heh

As many as you can, actually. Using bonsai methods, you can keep 12 Dads under a 2'x2lamp shoplight. Flower out and preserve the pollen. (Collect, dry, mix with cooked and cooled flour, 1 gram sealed packets with a few grains of dry rice in each, kept in a thermos in a freezer, preferably a chest or other colder freezer.)

It'll store for over a decade and multi-male pollination is really what you want. Preservation wise, anyway. ;)

Yeah, if I have the time I'll pop the other 7 to get more males.

I'm about to do a preservation project with some Mini Malawi from Afropips, have 4 in total and I'm hoping I end up with 2 males 2 females. Same with a Moroccan line I have going, I only got one female out of it but have 3 males. OP/multimale is the only way imo for landrace and preservation.

You are completely right. I have no idea why I put strawberry in that. I guess proof reading isn't my thing. Is she still around?

I think I know someone with it...
I am working on getting some cuts to run this next time around. I was told if I got some cuts I could not Mom it...

So they asked you not to make a mom?

Easy enough...

Reveg & take cuts from the trimmings!
You should have plenty for yourself & for trade.
Hehehe

kinda kike............

kinda kike............

People saying they have cuts, but out of the blue explain they're half way across Timbuktu already or have been asked to honor an agreement (Keep it to yourself) ......:moon:
I will barter, swap or trade anything I have.

This is why I search out cuts on my own or pop seeds.

Checking in for an update on the recent harvest of Jock Horror & Northern Light from Nirvana. I haven't figured out the Jock Horror quite yet but the NL has a lot going for it. I understand why it's been used in so many projects. Excellent structure & yield of frosty potent buds. Def an indica type stone. Not breakfast weed. Easy to grow. Doesn't smell like much of anything when growing but takes on a bit of a piney/rosemary/earthy smell when cured. Taste is unexceptional & the smoke relatively smooth. The one I started for an outdoor gardener friend has turned into a 4' bush already covered in fat buds & should finish easily mid October. I'll get pics when it does.

I'm more of a sativa type guy but for anybody who wants a productive & stealthy indica that won't stink up the place then it can't be wrong to grow Nirvana's NL...
