$100 for 6 seeds?

They better sprout in 3 days, yield awesome and clone at the drop of a hat. You guys are right, definitely plenty of decent seeds around (in canna-friendly states) for free and no need to be putting out cash like that.

On a side not........Darkhorse Genetics posted on IG ... then later took down something stating he or one of theirs would be @ Denver Clone Store for I guess a meet and greet.

For giggles I swing by and my buddy did shortly after....no show.

$100 for 6 seeds can suck my dick too. :moon:

I'll say it again......waaaaay better genetics around to waste ca$h on people who could give 2 shits.*

*I'm sure there'll be some excuses or reasons brought up just like many fucktards give around here. :moon:

To show I don't bullshit ---> View attachment 425470

i went there to look around and left disappointed. I know way more peeps with better genetics just for the asking. SMH

part of me is like "wtf ?! 100$ for 6 seeds that's fucked"

another part of me is like "get yours hustler, get that seed money!"

gotta consider that making seeds within the regulatory framework involves lots of red tape and excess overhead that the average pollen chucker or black market breeder doesn't ever have to worry about.... not that it justifies the price just adds to the cost of production for sure
not sure how a giveaway works legally, last i checked the state was really against ANYTHING being free because it cuts them out of their %

Totally understand where you're coming from. At the end of the day though, one really well done plant is going to net you hundreds of thousands of seeds. ;)

What passes for breeding in cannabis is pathetic. Throw one polyhybrid at another, market it to morons, and water down the classics. And the young uns coming up buy the hype cause they never got the real deal

Unless a seed proves itself fuck this overpriced shit. Learn to network and get the real...and never, ever give it to anyone whose business model is 6 turns a yr no matter what. Makes me wanna scream to see fantastic sativa strains murdered before their time

The money is good if you are...but the devil gets your soul. There ain't no on the fence. I sold my soul, I deserve what I get. Some still have the choice

More like thousands or a coupla ten thousands, I suspect. When I saw your number, it struck me that I didn't know how much seeds weigh. Sooo... I weighed 50 medium size seeds. It came out to 1.02 g, so 100,000 seeds would weigh ~ 2 kilos... That would require a really, really big outdoor pot plant.

for hemp seed it's assumed that an lb of seeds is between 25k and 40k can't imagine an indoor plant producing an lb of pure seeds but im sure it's possible

agree, cannabis (breeding included) has become just like everything else
what passes for food (meat and dairy, industrial veges) is pathetic - fast food and processed
what passes for media (news/entertainment/pop music)

fwiw jason (darkhorse) was already knee deep in the colorado weed game when
i showed up in 09
he is in it for the long term; tht doesn't speak to his breeding practices which iknow nothing about but it speaks to his commitment to the colorado weed game if nothing else
when i learned he still held a license and was still producing seeds 8 years later i was pleasantly surpised which is what lead to me offering to test some of his seeds

I had this discussion w Sam S, right after saying something similar to that "hundreds of thousands' post. Sam came in quick & corrected me telling me, & anybody else that was following, that seed wieghts vary from about 30-100 seeds per gram with the average being about 60/g.

That said, I've paid $300 for a pack of TDS Chem 91 IX. The results weren't anything like what I expected. The buds were relatively bland except for two plants that had decent flavs. Noone had any real potency which is what I thought Chem was known for.

Anyway;
Seeds, like ANY other item of value on this terra firma, are worth exacty what one is willing to pay for them.

Yall want to know whats worthless?
Fucking FIAT MONEY!!! & the labor robbing inflationary practices of the powers that be!

Not all new breeders are hacks chasin kid friendly cookies & creme pollen chucks

I spent 9 years breedin Neverland a Sativa Dom Hybrid that finishes in 7 weeks and has that old school 70's Sativa high and my breeding program is focused on keeping rare translucent early amber genetics

$100 for 6 seeds ???

Imagine 50K for a clone

One of the things that happened with black market weed & now storefront weed is the quest for potency above all else. It makes sense when the stuff is expensive & if you're a market oriented grower, no doubt. OTOH, that doesn't matter as much with the low price of personal consumption home grown. Other factors come into play like manageability, flavor, aroma & subtlety of effect. I've grown a variety of medium priced genetics over the last 3+ years & haven't found any real duds among them. No way I'll pay exorbitant prices for "elite" seeds when I get great results from breeders like Mandala, Nirvana, Eskobar & others.

I'm shut down right now, taking a break until Oct 1. Just growing from seed lets me do that. Haven't figured out quite what to grow next- Panama, Santa Maria or the Rishi Kush that my wife favors so much...

You're probably right but I really enjoy exploring different genetics. I have QM, as well...

One of the things that really surprised me when I came back to cannabis in 2013 after having abstained since 1987 is what breeders have done with it in the meanwhile. One of the things I haven't encountered is the very peppery smell of a lot of long ago Mexican weed. I think a lot of those strains are gone, either wiped out in the WoD or supplanted by shorter flowering & more productive hybrids.

I have a few with da peppery taste as well as that old school hash taste

Thank you avinash. A friend has used Cohen and they got 20. Another friend recently got a 50 count in Colorado Springs but that office closed down unfortunately.

Avi beat me to it but I'd also like to suggest starting the Panama. Especially if from Ace Seeds!
I was going to start Panama but decided on the Bangi Haze instead. I want better conditions for the Panama than a simple OD grow. Thinking I'll need an extended season so would need a more southerly location or a green house.

I'm interested in the trip factor w the Panama.

The green pheno at 16-20 weeks is phenomenal. Purple at 12 exceptional. But if it is pure personal green taken forever stands alone in my experience...maybe real Thai.

I just started a thread the other day, over in the Micro-Grow sub-forum. I'm working on building a micro cab for these long flowering sativas. The green pheno sounds like the perfect kind of genetics for it. :) I'm sure just about everyone has a spot they can put a micro-cab. ;)

Head on over if you have any input on sativas and micro growing them. Ty
