considering rigging up some coverings and try to weather the cold to keep going thru this snap

Space heater and supplemental lighting in the greenhouse , lets ride this thing out and get a couple weeks of those crisp clear classic fall days!

Just had to do the same. My girls have handled 29 degrees pretty well in the greenhouse but last night getting into the low 20's I threw one in there to be safe. I have a few weeks on a strain or 2.
Good luck.

good luck! These nights are looking cold from here on out! Came fast this year!

This is what I consider a normal year.
I typically see a killing frost in late Sept to early Oct followed by a couple weeks to a month of nice weather then dipping back to freezing weather for the winter.

Unfortunately my gh cover was destroyed by a wind storm last winter that also bent the frame so I felt the need to chop everything the other day.

Harvest season is in full swing now.
Good luck yall.

I am inside, and love it right now, have the window to that room open, gets down to at least 60/65 in there at night with the lights on!

Who's been paying attention to busts in CO?

I was looking at the cannabist yesterday & it seems that just about every other article was about a bust of some sort.

I also saw that the dude that shot those 2 kids & killed one of them, was sentenced to 80 years.

Fuckin crazy yo!

Chopped 2 ghost train haze#1 yesterday and a durban p. , Red headed stranger GG4 last week and some Bodhi pura vida mid october , enjoy the fruits of your labor !

Another friend's outdoor plant grown from a commercial clone, supposedly QM x GojiOG. The octopus like growth is from pruning.

Still not really finished entirely. Not a good choice for CO outdoor. It's been parked in the garage with an electric heater on the coldest nights & it's not really warm enough in the daytime to promote much more flowering. It gets the chop on Saturday.

I don't think most people in CO pay attention to the busts. Normal people have nothing to worry about besides being robbed by criminals. They tend to go after people who are connected to organized crime, meaning big guns, money and hard drugs are also involved. Or dumb-@sses who flaunt money and don't contribute to society. I've had run ins with LEO in CO and all positive and respected my rights when i stayed calm and showed them my paper work. Waited for them to understand and get to know me a little then i'd let them in and show them around my home grow. I work for a dispensary now, just because i don't ever want to deal with getting robbed. We get inspected regularly by multiple state and local agencies. People catch on fast and you never know who is out casing neighborhood grows to steal from. I was never in it for the $$ i started growing because I heard what crazy pesticides people were using and I wanted clean medicine. That pursuit eventually landed me a decent job that pays my bills and less stress. I am proud to grow and smoke my own bud just as i would if i grew it at home. I'm proud to be one of the good guys making sure good medicine is being made available to the public and work for a company that fully in line with my mission.

cops are desperate not to loose the income that cannabis busts bring them
colorado cops have stopped proving distribution and raid based on an assumption that everyone growing is re-distributing
many colorado cops don't believe there is such thing as medicinal use of cannabis

meanwhile, denver is about to sanction safe injection sites : https://www.denverpost.com/2017/11/05/denver-heroin-drug-users-supervised-injection-site-proposal/
but 5 years after legalization there is still no state-wide legal avenue to provide marijuana smokers a legal place to use - other than in their homes or some air bnb style rentals there is NO legal place to smoke weed and no state outlined avenue to create such a place.....

also in the news, more tainted weed, destined to become distillate (file under "why i grow my own and don't smoke dispensary weed"): https://www.kktv.com/content/news/H...due-on-medical-marijuana-items-455058973.html

the dea says cannabis is more dangerous than heroin

ya...
the dea was founded after america signed a treaty in 1961 - the single convention on narcotic drugs (look it up)
in this treaty it states taht growing cannabis for horticultural and for industrial uses shall be legal
the usa signed this treaty and it is the foundation for the creation of the DEA

fast forward to today - every single grow bust in which police have not PROVEN re-distribution (selling your crop) they are breaking international treaty
everytime dea comes out against marijuana they are basically speaking in favor of breaking this treaty in an ongoing fashion

pigs shit on the document that created their own organizations - typical total lack of respect and relevance.

Fentanyl lacedweed...

Can't really say but I think the High Times article may have put it best...
Shit's too expensive to be putting in your weed.

Then I read an article about the girl in Florida being left for dead, by her 'friends'.

Not sure, really, what to think.

Probably, mostly people that use both substances then lie about it.

personally i think people lie
they don't want to be outed as dope fiends even after an overdose - that's just my guess

here are 2 likely scenarios:
"mom i was just smoking weed it must have been laced" - tons of lying opiate addicts
"i bet we could use this opiate epidemic to crack down on weed" - DEA

Is it cops seizing weed claimed to be "laced" with fentanyl?

Anything is possible, but doubt that is found at all honestly beyond 2-3 "entrepreneurs".

Fentanyl is not a recreational drug in my opinion. Took it for about a year and a half. Always felt too strong, even at its lowest available patch strength. "Spooky" would be a good description of its efffect.
